Week of 12/3/17 Part #2

DEC17VSNO - create a white on white card or project

Heat embossed the sentiment in silver then die cut several dies and layered.

White Christmas

 SC674 this week's sketch

This sweet dog was sent to me from Jan (Precious Kitty). I colored him with pencil and fussy cut him and put him on dimensionals. Die cut the oval out of black. Cut down some DPs and used some die cut WOOF words. Finihsed off the card with the paw print which is a plastic sticker.

 Woof

DEC17VSNC - Using the same stamp, stamp at least three times across or down your card.

I stamped the skateboard boy 3 times slightly moving the stamp to give the card a feeling of movement. It is one of my favorite stamp techniques for this stamp. I also did it for the first time in my Misti and love being able to get a good stamp out of this solid stamp.

Added some embossing and finished off with a sentiment and star sequins.

 Birthday Boy

DEC17VSND - your challenge is a monochrome black, white and grey card, with a 100% optional pop of green to give a nod to the iconic game board.

This was so super quick, I received this candle embossed paper from a friend. Stamped the sympathy sentiment and layered on black card stock.

I have needed a few of these here lately so making a few to add back to my stash.

 Sorry for Your Loss

DEC17VSNE - Roll the dice (only one) and whatever it lands on is how many layers you use. No dice? As someone to think of a number between 1 and 6.

I have to say I had to go looking for a 6 sided die. We have 20 sided dice and many are stunning. My DH and son are both out playing the card game Magic tonight while I am playing in my craft room. They have a boat load of 8, 10, 12, and 20 sided dice and some 3 and 4 sided. I did not want to break in to the brand new box that was all 6 sided because I think those are an expensive set. Phew I found one. Grabbed a picture of it and added it to my card. I got a 2.

I added the brown layer and the sponged layer. Stamped a few different stamps from the set and sponged yellow, orange and pink. Stamped the sentiment.

I am trying to build up my sympathy stash. I have been asked for 6 or so in the last week. They are hard to make so I am thankful for this fun set of challenges to make them and try to have some fun and not think about having to use them.

 Sorry for Your Loss

IC627 - Southern Highland Craft Guild

I found this cute Mug and it reminded me of this bold paper that my MIL gave me.

Cut down the paper and layered on a brown CS and trimmed in a bold pink and layered on the pink CS. Trimmed with gross grain ribbon and layered the sentiment. Finished the sentiment off with some Nuvo Drops. I think I will make a few more of these to put in my MIL's Stash of cards. She must like the paper to give it to me right?

Owl Birthday

DEC17VSNKIDS - For this challenge, kids and their folks make a cootie catcher, only taking it to another level. I'm encouraging you to use (hopefully stamped) images, that encourage interaction. Mine has holiday symbols inside. Other ideas: promises (doing dishes, walk the dog), treats (candy cane, penny), a relative's name (great grandfather, far away uncle)...

My son almost never plays in my craft room with me because he is getting to the age of having his own agenda. But when I said I needed a kid to come play in one of the challenges he came and played.

I too remember playing with these in school. So many were made and taken away because we would spend so much time playing with them and getting distracted in class. LOL! My son also use to make these but now he is a bit older and does not make them any more. So I was happy he came and made one and played in my craft room.

He drew a tree on one and holly on a second one and colored in the other two.

Week of 12/3/17 Part #1

WT665 - Distress It

Stamped this fun House mouse image 2 times and colored with copics. Cut the skirt out and did the 3D paper piece technique on the skirt.

Distressed every layer used on the card. Finished off with the die cut work love and some DP punched flowers.

I am continuing trying to use stuff up. All the DPs are from my scrap bin. The love was already die cut sitting on my desk and the flowers were in my stash of flowers where I punch them out of scraps trying to use the bits that are too small for card layers and just the right size for a punch.

Love of Dance

DEC17VSNPRE3 - inspiration of Dragons

I got lucky I saw Lydia's post earlier today and just checked the challenges and rules. Phew...

Then I got lucky and had this darling dragon that a fellow SCS friend sent me 3 years ago. Yes it was in my stash of stuff that I am trying to use up and had just not used yet.

Colored the dragon with copics and had to fussy cut him because he was stamped very close to another just like him. Added distress ink to the corner in green and popped the dragon on dimensionals.

Finished off with the sentiment and some stars and Nuvo Drops.
Dragon Birthday

DEC17VSNPRE1 - MONOCHROMATIC

Sympathy cards are never easy and here lately I have had to make more than I care to make. This one was pretty simple, I die cut the two layers and popped on dimensionals. Punched the bird and leaves and glued down and stamped the sentiment.

 Sorry for Your Loss

 DEC17VSNPRE2 - something musical related

F4A407 - Merry Everything - I had just posted this then saw Robin's challenge right after posting this and added the F4A. For me it is Merry Christmas.

CCC17FEB - People

This great caroler was sent to me in a die cut exchange. Popped it on dimensionals and die cut the edge with a fun die cut to show some DPs. Stamped the sentiment and added some music notes that I always have on hand when I finish using papers I punch out some fun punches and music notes is one of those that I use.

 Merry Christmas to You

DEC17VSNA - This challenge is to use an image representing one of the Monopoly tokens, on your card. Your choices are: a thimble, a car, a ship, a dog, a hat, a wheelbarrow, a cat, a shoe, a rubber ducky, a t-rex, or a penguin.

Super fast card, die cut the pup and popped up on dimensionals on a shimmer white paper. Die cut some paw prints out of scrap paper and glued down and stamped the sentiment.

I am always needing pet sympathy cards so this challenge is perfect for me to make a quick card for my friends little pet store.

Thinking of You

FS565 - the super talented Donna aka Krashscrapper, I found this wonderful Easter CARD.

Stamped these two House Mouse images and colored with copics. Rather than an EF I used Easter paper. Stamped the sentiment and finished off with some die cut eggs that have been on my desk for a year.

Week of 11/26/17 cards

SC673 - This weeks Sketch - I am in love with this sketch.

CCC17AUG - Wreaths

Stamped the sentiment on a tag that was sitting on my desk for a year. Yes I am still trying to use stuff up. LOL! Grabbed a wreath that was on my desk and some more pine cones that Robin (stamperrobin) gave me over 2 years ago. Glued everything down on a die cut white edge and red card stock and die cut some more pine branches from my scrap green papers. Finished off with some Nuvo Drops.

WT663 - Leftovers
Comfort and Joy

 WT664 - Try a Tutorial

Stamped this super funny Dog set from Precious Kitty Creations newest stamp set then colored with copics and sponged the edges grey.

Created the Faux Barn Board on the base layer. Stamped the fiskers dotted swirls on the grey and distressed the edges. Used some scrap DP and the dark brown layer is a leftover sprayed piece from my scrap bin.

Finished off with popping the sentiment layer on dimensionals, the button and bakers twine and the pom pom ribbon.

MMTPT488 - Pole Dancing in Whykickamoocow where we are to make a card that represents the month of our birthday. My birthday month is September and in September we are just at the end of summer and just at the start of fall.

This super cute sunflower image was sent to me by Jan (Precious Kitty). I colored it with pencils and then fussy cut it. Layered some DP on craft and then added an embossed layer. Tied a ribbon around and popped the flower on dimensionals. Finished off with some nuvo drops.

IC626 - Paperchase: I found this great CARD

I loved the red and craft together. It is really eye catching.

Looking at my desk I have been spending a lot of time pulling out stuff that has been piling up for a while. When I saw the inspiration image today I saw on my desk these two hearts already die cut. I stamped the sentiment when I saw this strip of embossed paw prints. Then I grabbed this left over paw sticker. Quick, easy and used up stuff on the desk. I kept it pretty CAS just as the inspiration card.

Welcome Anne, Stacy, Julie, Angela & Brenda. I look forward to the amazing inspiration you will bring on Saturdays.
