Week of 7/25/20 Cards

FS702 - Today's incredibly gifted Featured Stamper is Debra, better know around here as derck. She has an amazing gallery full of inspiration. I found this cute CARD and was drawn to the row of dresses.

I used a row of graduates that are wearing caps and gowns. I die cut the tops of each of the cards so the graduates would hang off the top of the cards. Then I die cut the congratulations sentiment.

On the front card I die cut a diploma scroll and sponged purple.

On the back card I layered a white layer and embossed it.

Congrats Grad
 CAS595 - sky/something in sky related stamp

My MIL needed an African inspired birthday card and I thought this Tim Holtz set was perfect.

I masked the strip on the card and added a white circle. Next I stamped the tree, giraffe, grass and birds.

I Sponged orange and yellows on the strip and then removed the circle mask and added some yellow and light orange to the sun.

I finished the card off with the birthday sentiment.

African Birthday
 MMTPT626 - ribbon and washi

Used another sheet of the Asian wrapping paper my MIL gave me. I am slowly working my way through that stack of paper trying to use it up.

Stamped the sentiment and die cut. Cut the paper layers and added flowers from my stash. Popped the sentiment up on dimensionals. The lace is actually a tape lace.

Thinking of You
WT802 - What's Your Type? (found I don't own a type writer image so I went with a large sentiment that was in my tote to get used from my friend Jan-Precious Kitty)

USEIT2020 - Bees & Sentiments

These sentiments and bees were in my tote of items and needing used up.

I die cut the sentiment layers and popped the sentiments up on dimensionals. Cut the other layers and added to card base and added the bees and ribbon.

I finished the bees off with stickles on the wings.

Just Bee Yourself
F4A544 - High Fashion

USEIT2020 - Chipboard Anchor

My aunt and SIL both loved a baby girl bottom I did a few months back but both needed a boy card and asked if I could make a boy version. Oh course. :0

I die cut the oval card base then die cut the peach color then the blue color. I sponged waves on the blue and used some chip board anchors to decorate the diaper cover.

I used my cricut to cut the feet and popped them on dimensionals after adding some light pink sponging around them.

Diaper Cover

IC764 - Hygge & West where I found the Banner Image looked like tassels

USEIT2020 - Bag of sequins

When I saw the removeable wallpaper it reminded me of tassels. I needed a graduation card for my nieces sister who just graduated from college. Her colors are gold, blue and white and the image had blue and white tassels.

I have a large bag of shaker elements (many different sequins) that I need to get used up out of my tote. I thought a shaker card was perfect for the card.

I die cut the graduates and created the shaker card. I put the gold layer on the base and then added the graduates on top.

Finished with the congratulations banner.

Congratulations

Week of 7/18/20 cards

FS701 - this weeks amazingly talented Featured Stamper is Karen (karensallen). I found this super fun Card

Rather than a Halloween theme I went with a Father's Day theme. I put the sentiment in a smoke bubble rather than the moon and used this fun digi for the main image. I added the fence behind him by masking him then stamping the fence.

The entire scene was colored with copics and then I sponged the sky.

Celebrate
MMTPT625 - parachute, hot air balloon, a banner, rope, maybe some type of nylon ribbon or fibers (banners and ribbons have both been known to use nylon so I used both on my card - note none of my actual pieces are nylon but I am not sure i could find any actual nylon in my craft room)

Stamped the image and colored with copics. Die cut the banner and stamped the sentiment. Added cheese cloth and ribbon and finished with some punched hearts.

Birthday Wishes
CC800 - This weeks color challenge

CC752 - I used the colors for CC752 they are all in the sweater yarn that I used and on the front card I added more blue and on the back card I used more pink creating 2 cards for babies.

USEIT2020 - Sweaters

The little sweaters were knitted by my great aunt and in my tote of items to use up. I added some cute DP that had bath tubs and 2 of the 3 colors and finished with a square doily, ribbon and flowers.

Babies
SC810 - This weeks sketch challenge

I took one liberty with this weeks sketch extending the lines down rather than cutting them off. I hope the challenge police do not chase after me. I created another graduation card as my son has more parties to attend and needs a few more cards.

I stamped the sentiment and colored with copics. Used a brick emboss folder as the kids in the band have a story about bricks that will be with them forever that the band director tells every year. I added ribbons and finished with some black stars.

Congratulations
 WT801 - Bridge Fold Card

I have wanted to try the Bridge Fold card for a while and thought it would make a great graduation card.

I cut the graduates with my Cricuit. Then I heat embossed the sentiment.

I created the bridge fold card and finished with some fun stickers. This is one of many graduation cards that my son is giving out to his many friends that graduated this year.

This is the Beginning
 F4A543 - Make It Country

Stamped this great image from Unity on kraft and stamped the sentiment. Cut the banner and die cut the panel and added some DP behind the image.

Country Birthday
MIX390 - Do More of What Makes You Happy

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

I don't get enough time to create my Heartfelt Creations flowers but when I do they really make me happy.

This is one of their old card kits that I am trying to get used up. I have all the stamps and dies but the kits seem to be sitting on a shelf taking up space so I am pushing myself to get them used.

Sponged the layers and sponged the vase, flowers and leaves. Shaped the pieces and pupped up on dimensionals.

Finished the flower and leaves off with stickles.

For My Friend
IC763 - Fine Gardens where I found this great IMAGE

When I saw the inspiration photo I was drawn to the hanging skeleton in the tree. It reminded me of this great new image from DRS Design.

I stamped half the tree on the left side of the card base and then stamped the other half on the right side of the card base. Next I stamped the sentiment in the center and then I used light purple in the center and dark purple around the outside.

Wishing You...

Week of 7/11/20 Cards

FS700 - the extremely talented featured stamper is Mary Fran (Mary Fran NWC). I found this cute CARD

I liked the layout she used but don't have any of her elements. Rather than one person I used two and I went with a military theme rather than Valentines theme.

I stamped the background using the camouflage stamp from DRS and brown and tan colors on a lighter tan card base. Then I stamped the silhouette soldiers image in the same brown and die cut the layers popping the top layer on dimensionals.

I finished with the sentiment in the same position as the FS card using a thank you sentiment.

Thank You
 CAS596 - Cute Bugs

USEIT2020 - patches

I am still working my way through my tote of items and found a sheet of these retro patches. I hot glued them on to white die cut circles and cut 3 coordinating papers to trim the card. I finished with the birthday sentiment.

Birthday Bugs
 MMTPT624 - Paper Hugs

This cute bird image was sent to me in a teapot exchange by Polly (peeps321). Thank you Polly.

I colored it with pencils and popped up on dimensionals. The base layer I used a die cut and rather than die cutting I used it to emboss. I added pleating to the blue DP and finished with this cute ribbon and sequins.

Thinking of You
WT800 - This is for Sabrina's Ways to Use It challenge.

My MIL gave me a bunch of Asian themed wrapping paper and I am looking for ways to use it up. I though this great dragon die cut was perfect. I cut some gold mirror paper and layered a sheet of the Asian wrapping paper over it. Die cut the dragon and left it in the die cut and used stazon black ink through the openings to add interest to the gold dragon.

Stamped the sentiment and layered on some red DP.

My husband loves dragons and this is his birthday card.

Birthday Dragon
 F4A542 - PARTY ANIMALS!

My SIL needed a get well card with a black cat and bees for a friend that recently broke a leg. I hope this will do.

Die cut the pieces of the kitty and cut the DP. Put the kitty together and popped the paws up on dimensionals. Added a few bee stickers and stamped the sentiment.

Get Well Kitty
 MIX389 - Found Art

USEIT2020 - School Bus

My mom has been going through her craft supplies and this bus was one of the items she found that she got rid of. It ended up in my tote of items that I am trying to use up.

I did the chalkboard technique on the black layer then heat embossed the sentiment.

The white paper piece I hand drew the red and blue lines then die cut the edge. I finished with the die cut tan paper and added the school bus.

Birthday Bus

IC762 - Eye on Design where I found these cute Owls

Our school had graduation in four parts yesterday. My son is invited to several parties starting tomorrow so I am still working on graduation cards for his friends. Today's inspiration was perfect for me to grab a few owl stickers.

Cut down the gold layer and trimmed in black. Die cut the sentiment and punched the black and white layer. Added the owl stickers and some greenery for under the stickers and finished with a gem.

Week of 7/4/20 cards

FS699 - My sweet friend Cathy McCauley aka cathymac is today's Featured Stamper. I am always thrilled to see what she adds to the gallery as every card is a treat.

I found this terrific Tote card.

I wanted to use this medical bag from DRS Designs and Cathy's tote was perfect to inspire me to pull it out and use it.

Colored it with copics and die cut the image. Added blue to the base layer and popped the sentiment frame up on dimensionals.

 CAS592 - Let’s Sail Away

JUN20VSNC - Fishin' in the Dark

I am sorting the stack of images on my table and found that I had a 3rd that just needed some coloring to the image then add to a card. So I used the same paper and layout as I did for the VSN cards and made this card in moments just sponging on some color.

Best Dad

MMTPT623 - Asia for tea, with a bonus of adding mountains in the background

Stamped the mountains a few times and then colored with copics. Sponged the grass and stamped the sentiment.

Stamped the couple and colored with copics and popped up on dimensionals.

Hello Friend
WT799 - Ways to use dust

I heat embossed this great Impression Obsession rose BG image in white and then sponged in blue. Then I grabbed paper scraps from other left over cards and stamped the sentiment.

Two super quick cards and using up scraps from my table. I should see if I can do a few more.

Rose Birthday
F4A541 - Double Down Background (I used a SU BG and Hero Arts BG)

MIS388 - Know Your ABC's I was inspired by This Georges Braque Painting

Stamped the two BG images on white CS and sponged the edge with tan.

Stamped the Heartfelt Creations Sunflowers and sponged on tan, brown and yellow for the flower colors. Cut the flowers and shaped. Added prills and stickles to the flowers and mounted. Popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.

Finished the card off with the corner gems.

Friends...
IC761 - Color Shot is today's inspiration where I found this great Pintrist Image

My niece asked me for a purple and white graduation card and she needed a sunflower added. Today's inspiration was the push I needed to create the card.

I embossed the base white layer with the graduation caps EF. Then die cut the layers. I used a fun DP to trim between the emboss and the purple. Then I stamped the sentiment.

The little sunflower image was sent to me by Polly (Peeps321) in a teapot exchange and was the perfect size to add to the card and not take away from the graduation theme. I colored that with pencils and added it to the sentiment.
