Moving Around Your Sentiment

I have had a few people reach out to ask how I use my sentiments without cutting them so I can place the words in a different layout.

This tutorial is to help with how you can use your sentiment without cutting them apart.

The sentiment stamp I used is from DRS Designs called S'MORE BIRTHDAY GREETING - 102D. Sadly, DRS Designs is no longer in business and the stamp is not available.

First, I start by stamping the sentiment on acetate.

This lets me know where the words are on the sentiment so I can move around the card stock to move the sentiment or use just portions of it.

Next, I place my card stock to stamp the portion of the sentiment I want to use. In this picture you can see I masked off the bottom of the sentiment and stamped just the word Sending on my card stock.

I then wanted to move the word S'More next to the word Sending. To do that I moved my cardstock and then masked the top and bottom of the cardstock so that I could stamp just the word S'More. As you can see in this first picture, I have the sentiment strip under the acetate to line up where I want the word S'More lined up to stamp. (Sorry for the glare it is hard to get a good image on acetate.)
Now in this picture, you can see where I am masking the top and bottom of my card stock.

And now in this picture, you can see where the word S'More is now stamped on the cardstock right next to the word Sending.

And in my card here you can see where I used this portion of the sentiment stamped with the words lined up together.

I hope you give this a try and let me know if you found this helpful.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my tutorial.
