Coffee Birthday

FS1018 - This week's Featured Stamper is Christine (cmesinden) - I found this INSPIRATION.

For this card, I stayed with the coffee birthday theme but gave it a fresh look by choosing a different designer paper and shifting the layout. I began with a rich brown cardstock base, which sets a warm foundation for the design. On top of that, I added a patterned paper from my stash, part of the collection I am steadily working through this year, and its colors and textures create a pleasant backdrop for the focal image.

I stamped the Tim Holtz coffee cup and colored it with copics, letting the warm browns and soft shading bring the image to life. Once it was trimmed, I sponged brown ink around the edges to add depth and then layered it on matching brown cardstock to echo the card base and tie the elements together. To finish the card, I popped the image up on dimensionals, giving it a touch of lift and adding a bit of extra interest to the overall design.

Thanks a Latte

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas. May your holiday season be filled with joy, peace, and creativity.

Thank you for visiting today and taking the time to check out my card. I truly hope this season brings you wonderful moments to celebrate and cherish.

WT1085 - Light Entertainment

For this card, I gathered several scrap papers to build the layout, adding touches of white to the layers for framing and contrast. This gave the design a balanced, layered look while making good use of leftover pieces.

The coffee cup and sentiment from Fiskars were both raised on dimensionals to add depth. The card is finished with a scattering of candy dots for a playful accent.

Just a Coffee Note

CAS866 - Coffee

I love coffee. It is my go-to drink. I started by pulling out a Penny Black die cut and layering the pieces to give the coffee cup dimension. It was placed on a soft pink circle for a gentle pop of color. A pink ribbon was tied around the chevron-embossed background to add texture and a sweet finishing touch.

The sentiment was stamped directly onto the coffee cup, keeping the design clean and focused. To complete the card, I scattered a few candy dots for a playful accent.

Coffee Birthday

WT1026 - Checks and Plaids

USEIT2024 - Brads

For my card, I dug out my scrap papers and created this fun layer with several different plaids and checks. I then added the die cut coffee cup and the sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

The card was finished with a few scattered brads.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today on the Ways to Use It challenge we are adding coffee to our cards. Since I have been busy leading up to Thanksgiving I did a really quick simple card with some great DP and die cuts.

This was also done for the fantastic Falliday challenges on SCS. I love how we used the open space for our image and colored around them.

Come join the fun!

Perfect Blend

I love playing in mixed media and adding texture. When you add color to the texture you can go a whole new level to your card crafting. This texture paste was mixed with just a drop of tan reinker and created a textured card with real coffee looking spills.

Copics used: C1,C3, B00 & B02

Coffee

Shaker cards are such fun to give to recipients and can be filled with many fun items. Creating this coffee card I decided that actual ground coffee would be really fun to fill in the shaker card. This card smells wonderful.

Copics used: E21, E31, E35, E37, E39, R29, R32 and RV11.

Beauty of CAS Cup

Even us card makers need fast yet beautifully done cards in a hurry and this is one of the fastest if not the fastest card I have ever made and yet it was elegant and perfectly executed.

I also wanted to thank my sister's boss for letting her take some time off to help me with moving. Since I had never met him I had hoped this was neutral enough of a card for him. Turns out he loves the cards I make and hangs them on his office walls. Yeah!!!
