Week of 9/26/20 Cards

 

FS711 - This weeks incredibly talented featured stamper pepperann aka Patti. I found this great CARD

USEIT2020 - Butterflies

When I saw Patti's card I remembered I had these two patch butterflies I am trying to use up this year in my tote.

I stenciled the background with Nuvo Mousse.

Once dry I added the paper layers and ribbon. Then I used hot glue to add the butterflies.

CAS604 - Shoes

Perfect card for a birthday card. My MIL asked me to make a bunch of cards for her to send this year and this one is perfect for anyone that likes shoes.

Stamped the shoes from Picket Fence Studios and colored with copics. I added the stampin up sentiment on the shoes.

CC810 - Terracotta Tile, Soft Suede, Flirty Flamingo

USEIT2020 - Bear

When I saw today's colors I though of this cute bear in my tote that needed used up. I cut out a window from the Pink then cut the feet off the bear and tucked him behind the window so I could keep the card at 4.25 x 5.5.

I trimmed the window in black then added it to a white card base.

Finished of with the sentiment stamped on the frame.

USEIT2020 - Music staff die cuts

Die cut the pieces for the kitty and added the die cut music behind him. Created the Photo Corners and added Nuvo Drops for nails.

Finished with the Hello sentiment.

USEIT2020 - Playing card & Chips patch

I stamped the house mouse image and colored with copics. Next I did the out of the box die cutting for the image. I embossed the base layer then dug in my tote of items to use up and had this one round playing card and the chips that needed used up (perfect!).

Finished with the sentiment banner.

F4A553 - Fall Is Here

I stamped each of the 4 leaves and acorn images on Kraft card stock with white pigment ink and colored with pencils.

I cut the layers and added some lace and buttons from my stash and finished with the birthday sentiment.

IC773 - Reshot where I found this Image

For the class of 2021 I have 3 family members graduating. I already have card orders for 21 cards and that number will go up very quickly early next year so I am getting a jump on those cards.

This was very quick I had this blue paper left over from die cutting the silhouette and thought adding gold behind it would make it really pop. I then gold heat embossed the Unity sentiment.

Week of 9/19/20 Cards

 

FS710 - This weeks incredibly talented featured stamper is MaryJo (Icela52). I found this cute CARD

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

When I saw Mary Jo's card I remembered I had this Heartfelt Creations card kit that I needed to get used up. The images already came stamped and cut.

I colored all the flowers, leaves and boots with copics. Next I shaped all the flowers, leaves and boots. I sponged the edge of the DP and glued all the layers.

I added dimensionals to the boots layers to add more interest to the card. Finished off with stickles.

CAS603 - Ducks in a Row

Stamped the cute baby ducks and colored with copics. Cut the tag and added ribbon. Added a row of lacey ribbon and finished with sequins.

USEIT2020 - Bow

I used several layers a ribbon and oval for my card. I colored the image with copics and popped up on dimensionals. I finished with this bow from my tote of items I am trying to use up.

WT810 - blue

This background was created using a water stencil and glass bead gel. Once the gel was dry I added blue ink over to give the water look.

I stamped the porthole image on card stock then I stamped it again on scrap paper. I die cut the center of the scrap paper and laid it over the porthole. Next I stamped in the center of the porthole the seaside image. I then colored the porthole and seaside dock with copics and fussy cut the porthole.

I stamped school of fish, colored them with copics and fussy cut them. I finished with the birthday greeting and popped several of the images up on dimensionals.

F4A552 - Blue Sapphire

My MIL needed a quick Thinking of you for her friend going through cancer treatments and this is about as quick as it gets.

I heat embossed the Impression Obsession flower background then sponged blue over it. I trimmed with the blue layer then added the thinking of you sentiment.

IC772 - Soft Surroundings, I found this great Image on their Pintrist board and just love those dogs.

I need to make a few congratulations cards for my friend's pet shop and the dogs reminded me of this image.

The baseball BG was given to me by my friend Jan (Precious Kitty) and I sponged on yellow.

I stamped the dog and the sentiment and colored with copics. Cut the paper layers and mounted.

Week of 9/12/20 cards

 
FS709 - is the incredibly talented Barbara Sproatmeyer aka sproatmeyer. Wowza her gallery will blow you away. I found this CARD

I loved the large tree on the BG and I needed to make a sympathy card for my friends that have the pet shop. Their little wonderful Sara passed this week and they are heartbroken.

I stamped this great tree from Whimsy stamps and colored with copics. I added the silhouette dog and the sentiment and hand wrote in for Sara to personalize the card for them.

CAS602 - What’s your favorite primary color? What’s you favorite secondary color? Use only those (and neutrals)

My favorite primary color is blue (any and all blues) and my secondary favorite color is green.

I die cut the base layer and die cut the lace layer and glued together. Then I die cut the ovals and stamped the sentiment and popped up on dimensionals.

I stamped the flowers and sponged the color on and shaped and layered. I finished with prills and stickles.

This year I was asked the night before mother's day to make 3 mother's day cards. Well I decided making cards last minute is not for me so I am making several in advance and will have them ready. I have already started giving out the father's day cards that I made in advance for next year so I imagine mother's day cards will also be scooped up too.

USEIT2020 Asian Paper

I am working my way through 2 pads of Asian themed wrapping paper that my MIL got me for cards. They are very thin and really are tough to put on cards so I am just using them up for stacks of Thinking of you cards. I have a few friends that have been asking for them to send out during this pandemic and these are quick.

I cut the layers down and stamped the sentiment and glued.

USEIT2020 - Patches

I am still going through my tote trying to use stuff up and came across these two Disney patches. They are perfect for little kids and birthday cards.

Cut the papers, layered, stamped sentiments and hot glued the patches to the cards.

F4A551 - Too Cute to be Scary

I have several new Halloween DRS Designs images and wanted to play with them to see what they all looked like. I thought the quickest way to see them all stamped out was to just create a BG with them.

All of these were heat embossed in white on orange paper. I then cut the layers, added ribbon and added the sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

I am trying to use up the last of the Heartfelt Creations card kits in my stash by the end of the year and when I saw today's MIX I remembered this cute monkey sitting back and relaxing. This is what I do when I need to focus on me, just sit back and relax. And having a drink is always nice too. 

I colored the images with copics and layered on the card base adding dimensionals. I finished off with stickles.

IC771 - Stuffed Safari where I found this cute FROG It looks like the frog in this DRS little boy image.

First I stamped the little boy and masked him.

I then stamped the mountains then stamped the trees in grey and then off set them and stamped them in green.

Finally I stamped the rocks and then I colored the scene with copics.

I finished with some clouds and hand drawn birds.

Week of 9/5/20 Cards

 

IC770 - Pippin Poppycock where I found these great COLORS

They seemed the perfect starting point for my scarecrow. I stamped the scarecrow and colored him with copics. Then I fussy cut him. The BG was stamped with the cornstalk and then the fence was added. Next I sponged the clouds and added copics for the grass.

I finished with the Happy Fall Ya'll sentiment and layered the papers.

This image was in my stack of images that I am working to use up by the end of 2021. I am getting a head start on coloring them and as I see challenges that they work I grab them for cards.

I colored this with pencils and layered. Finished off with buttons and the sentiment.

USEIT2020 - HFC Kit

I saw today's MIX challenge and grabbed another Heartfelt Creations card kit that I am trying to get used up by the end of the year. I colored the images with copics and shaped. Then added dimensionals and layered. I finished off with stickles.

WT808 - Day Off Activity

USEIT2020 - Basket Embossed Paper

This great image was already stamped in my pile of images and was perfect for the challenge. I colored it with copics and popped up on Dimensionals.

Then as I was getting ready to layer I saw I had this basket weave in my tote of items to use. It was perfect paired with the image. I added some red ribbon and some punched hearts.

MMTPT632 - Make it pop

USEIT2020 - Arrows

Stamped the tree and deer and put down a circle for the sun. Sponged 2 yellows and orange to get the sun effect. Cut the DPs and layered. Finished with the arrow and novo drops.

CAS601 - Teacher Appreciation - anything with a teacher, school, book type theme.

Die cut the congratulations and the graduates out of the same paper glued down. Used some large stars from my sticker collection to add some bling to the cards.

FS708 - This weeks wonderfully talented featured stamper is Mary Bush aka MaryEB.

I had grabbed an image in mind before the site went down and all I could remember was purple trees. So my card has purple and a tree branch. It was this CARD.

I heat embossed the webs on the base purple layer. I sponged the clouds and stamped the grave headstones and tree branch. Then I colored the tree branch with copics. I finished off with the sentiment.
