Baby Giraffe

CAS755 - Put some Orange on your cards

For my card, I wanted to use this cute giraffe image from DRS Designs. I thought it was perfect for a baby card.

I stamped the image and colored it with copics. Next, I created a heart aperture and embossed the panel. I then layered the image under the panel.

The card was finished with die cutting the congratulations 3 times in white card stock and then using the orange copic used for the image to color the top layer.

Cute as a Button

CAS735 - make an image in an unusual color

For my card today I thought I would have a little fun with it. I had never tried the Basket Weave and thought I would give it a try. It is so easy and a great way to add a little interest to your cards with no extra tools needed besides scissors. I used the tutorial on splitcoaststampers.com HERE.

One thing I did that made it a bit easier is when I folded the weave, I used my scoreboard to score the pieces. This helped to keep the cardstock from tearing while I was folding them.

I then stamped the cute monkey from DRS Designs, fussy cut it and added dimensionals. I finished the card with the cute sentiment, button and bakers twine.

Foxy Congratulations

IC854 - The Postman's Knock - this was my INSPIRATION

A friend needed a woodsy themed baby congratulations card and the inspiration was perfect for me to create this little foxy card.

I used my cricut to cut out the fox and layered adding sponging to the edges of the layers. I added a bit of pink to the cheeks and layered the fox on the embossed wood which I sponged a bit of brown to the raised portions of the wood.

I finished with the white highlights on the heart and the stamped sentiment raised up on dimensionals.

Wishing You

I love looking for ways to stretch my stamps. This New Home Greeting - 967G - DRS Designs is a great sentiment but if you look at it different you can use it for a baby card.

I die cut this baby outfit and added some fun colors using dome distress oxides giving it a groovy vibe. I then added a hand drawn smile. The card was finished with the New Home Greeting - 967G - DRS Designs.

#1 Bear

WT857 - Home Sweet Home: Use something in your home to inspire your card. Let us know what inspired you. For me I have a bear in my bedroom that my grandma gave me before she passed. I thought it was perfect inspiration for a birthday card my aunt asked me to make for her Godson.

I used my Cricut to cut out the pieces, stamped the heart and layered the bear with dimensionals.

Welcome Baby

FS750 - This weeks incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Sandi MacIver, better known around here as SandiMac. Her gallery is full of some incredible inspiration. I found these cute Cards

USEIT2021 - Iron Ons

I had a couple of books of iron Ons that I needed to see if I could use on cards. They are a bit of a challenge to add to card stock because there is no tooth in standard card stock to hold the transfers. This was the best one that I was able to get to stay. I thought it would work great for a baby card when I saw today's Featured Stamper gallery.

I cut the onsie and added a die cut sentiment and added to a coordinating designer paper.

Welcome Baby

FS532 challenge - featured stamper is Sue Drees aka NEEDMORESPACE and she has a wonderful gallery. I might have to go back to do another card. I chose this amazing CARD.

I love the swirly layer so keeping with the wonderful decorative layer I did two decorative layers of lace using Gina Marie dies popped the second layer on dimensionals. I used the Green Duck embellishment that has the umbrella to go with the umbrella on the FS card and added a welcome banner. I finished the card off with some sequins.
