IC795 - Retro Stage where I found this great Dress

USEIT2021 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

When I saw the MIX and the F4A challenges this card kit from Heartfelt Creations was perfect. I am trying to use up my old card kits as they take up a bunch of space on a shelf and are no longer made.

I love spring and I love beautiful butterflies.

I sponged the edge of the layers for this card then used copics to color the flowers and the body of the butterfly. I then sponged the wings of the butterfly.

I layered the papers and popped up the frame and butterfly on dimensionals.

I finished the butterfly with stickles.

Big Butterfly

WT833 - insects and bugs (this is a queen bee from the Heartfelt Creations collection - I think she is bee-utiful!)

USEIT2021 - Heartfelt Creations card kit.

USEIT2021 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

I am trying to use up the old Heartfelt Creations card kits in my stash and this one was perfect for today's sketch.

I started off by sponging all the layers with pink then sponged the flowers with pink and peach. I then shaped the flowers and added some dimensionals. Once the flowers were shaped I added some 3D paint that has a fun shimmer to it.

I layered the card once all the flowers were shaped.

Life is Better

MMTPT657 - Go Red

USEIT2021 - Asian themed wrapping paper

When I saw the Teapot Tuesday challenge I remembered I had this wrapping paper in the stack of wrapping papers my MIL gave me and I needed to get it cut up and used. Each sheet makes 16 cards.

I cut the layers and trimmed the paper with some gold paper. I then stamped several sentiments on the cards for different occasions.

Just Saying Hello

CC832 - blackberry bliss, rich razzleberry, garden green

I stamped the flowers and sentiment in Blackberry. Then I used both blackberry and razzleberry to color the flowers. I used the garden green to stamp the leaves and shade them.

I cut the layers and layered and shaped the flowers and leaves and finished with stickles and prills.

Birthday Flowers

CAS626 - Clouds

I really have been enjoying adding clouds to my cards. I recently got a new cloud stencil and it has some great patterns to it.

For this card I stamped this fun DRS Designs image and colored him with copics. I then sponged my cloud stencil and layered the card.

USEIT2021 - Button and dog image

CCC21APR - Animal

When I saw Dawn's card I knew I had this dog in the stack of images I wanted to get colored this year. I am working my way through the stack trying to color 2 a week and use at least 1 image. I also had this button in my tote needing to get used up.

I colored the image with copics then cut it out. I used some Christmas DP and added ribbon behind the image. I also had this die cut paw from another card sitting on my table needing a card and it was the perfect size for adding a Christmas wish.

Merry Christmas Pup

IC794 - Monika Winden / Homemate Pinterest boards where I found this great Tile

I used a hexagon die cut and my green scrap papers and cut out a bunch of different greens. (Note this is a fantastic way to use up colored scraps and I will be doing this again.)

Some are stamped with black, some are stamped with green and some are white heat embossed.

I used different prints of stripes, dots and 2 different covers.

Once the pieces were ready I laid out the pattern and finished with this wonderful new sentiment for St Patrick's Day from DRS Designs popped up on dimensionals.

I finished with sequins.

WT832 - Photo corners (bought or DIY)

This leprechaun was mirror image stamped. Then I masked him and stamped the pot of gold.

Once the images were down I colored them with copics. I then stenciled the rainbow and stamped the sentiment.

I finished with the photo corners and nuvo drops.

Blessings for You
CC831 - FLIRTY FLAMINGOS DINING ON MANGOS AND PEARS

My Favorite Place

MMTPT656 - Pair Wedding

I used 2 pairs of hearts. One pair is the small and the other pair is the large.

I stamped the BG on the light purple then distressed it. Then I looked through my stash for several purple scraps and cut them down to various sizes and distressed all the edges.

I die cut the hearts and punched the small hearts. I finished with the die cut love and Nuvo Drops to add shine to the letters.

I love making scrappy cards it helps empty my bin of all the small pieces and when you distress the edges it adds just the right texture to the cards.

USEIT2021 - Asian wrapping paper

I love the all over flowers she did on her card. It reminded me of my Asian papers that my MIL gave me. I am trying to get them made up it is one of my 2021 craft goals. It is beautiful paper but very thin and tough to work with for cards.

I cut down this pink sheet of wrapping paper and layered it on red and yellow to pick up the colors on the paper. I added a Just a note and a few other sentiments and added a ribbon across the card where Linda had her sentiment on a strip of velum.

Just a Note

MIX421 - My Favorite Place (I am not one to travel much, I am good with being home)

I needed to get a Valentine card made for DH and I loved that bright heart on the necklace.

I finished a couple of the hearts off with stickles and added the SU sentiment.

This background was created with a watercolor technique where I added red toward the top and then added more water toward the bottom to lighten the color for the Ombre' effect.

Once dry I heat embossed the hearts and the sentiment.

Lucky in Love

WT830 - Brads

USEIT2021 - Brads

While going through my tote of items to use up I came across a large sheet of brads that needed used. These brads are rather large and would require a lot of postage to send. Well Why not put them all on 1 card and only pay that postage once? Oh wait my SIL is a postal carrier and puts thank you cards in boxes for some of her customers. Yeah no extra postage!

I put all the brads on 1 card, stamped the sentiment and popped it on dimensionals so that the brads did not go through the card base.

All Brads

SC839 - This weeks sketch

I used today sketch to use up a couple of already stamped off sentiments and some die cuts from my tote that I am trying to use up.

I cut the paper layers and layered on the DP. I then added the tea cups on dimensionals and finished one off with a snowflake and one with a flower.

Coffee

MMTPT654 - Arrows/Feathers (I am counting the birds in the image as my feathers)

USEIT2021 - Light House image

*One side note on this image, my grandma's birthday is today. She passed away a few years ago. So to honor her that is another reason I used this image on today's card. Happy birthday grandma!

This image was in my stack of images to get colored and used up this year. I have a huge pile of stamped images on my desk that I need to get colored and used. That is my USEIT2021 Goal.

I colored it with copics and layered on the plaid paper using black as matting.

Light House

CAS623 - Newsworthy-- our news has been so heavy, so my challenge is to include newsprint, (text backgrounds, sentiment with typewriter type fonts) that is a positive/encouraging message

I started off with sponging the BG with a leaf stencil. Then I embossed the base with a text emboss folder.

I then die cut the butterfly and heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up in dimensionals.

I finished the card off with gems.

Birthday Butterfly

FS730 - This weeks incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Gayle Blair (gaylestamps). I found this terrific Card.

I love the layout of Gayle's card and used that for my inspiration.

I stamped the bowling ball image and colored it with copics. Then I fussy cut the image and die cut a star to put behind it.

I moved the sentiment to the base panel then I stamped a bowling ball 3 times on the kraft layer to give it movement.
