USEIT2026 - Wood Heart

For this card, I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock and ran it through a wood embossing folder to create a textured base. The deep grain pattern adds a rustic feel right away, and the Kraft tone helps the rest of the elements stand out without overwhelming the design.

I have been working through a stash of wood hearts in my tote, and this project was a perfect chance to use another one. I chose a heart with a clean shape and gave it a fresh coat of red spray paint. The paint settles beautifully into the natural grooves of the wood, creating a bold focal point with just a hint of texture showing through. Once dry, I mounted the heart directly onto the embossed woodgrain panel, letting the two textures play off each other.

To keep the sentiment simple and crisp, I stamped it on white cardstock and die cut it with a small flag die. The narrow shape tucks neatly under the edge of the heart, adding a layered detail without distracting from the main focal point. A few red pearls finish the card with a touch of shine and help tie the color palette together.

FS1008 - Another Blast from the Past

I found this terrific inspiration from maryrose.

The layout on Maryrose’s card was the perfect starting point for pulling out some of the papers I am trying to use up this year. I reached for a birthday themed paper pad and trimmed the layers, die cutting the center with a scalloped panel to echo the playful feel. From my scrap stash, I added a red checked piece along with a crimped white lace strip and a bit of baker’s twine that has been sitting on my desk, which brought in texture and a touch of homespun charm.

The birthday layers are popped up on dimensionals for added depth, and I finished the front with coordinating candy dots to tie the colors together. The completed panel is layered on pink to pull out the pinks in the patterned papers and then mounted on a clean white card base.

IC1069 - Food Network - INSPIRATION

For my card, I took inspiration from the corn in the challenge and pulled out this fun image from Jaded Blossom. I colored it with Copics in rich fall tones and added a coordinating ribbon from my tote stash.

The corn is layered over several handmade papers gifted to me by my mother‑in‑law. I tore the top edges of the layers to bring in extra texture and visual interest. Those handmade papers are mounted on white cardstock and then a green card base to echo the greens in both the paper and the image.

Both the corn and the sentiment are popped up on dimensionals, and a few orange‑and‑white striped candy dots finish the card with a playful touch.

WT1107 - Use the eclipse technique OR feature a sun AND moon on your card.

For this card, I pulled out a paper pad that my dear husband picked up from Michaels. One of the sheets featured a full moon cycle, which worked perfectly to depict an eclipse for this challenge. I cut down the layers, added a silver mat to the base panel, and adhered everything to a black card base.

Both the sentiment panel and the moon cycle panel are layered on black cardstock for definition, and I popped the sentiment panel up on dimensionals to complete the design.

For this card, I started with a fun Penny Black image and colored it with Copics. I used an out of the box cut for the tail, then die cut the rest of the oval and layered the panel on yellow to echo the yellow in the image.

I pulled a couple of precut squares from my scrap stack and layered them on white, then added them to a piece of woodgrain paper from my stash that I am working through this year. The woodgrain panel is layered on white and then on the same yellow card base.

To finish the design, I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals directly under the image and added a few stars to mirror the star in the illustration.

For this card, I started with a black card base and added a gold heat embossed birthday sentiment along the bottom. I then pulled out a favorite Stampin Up birthday stamp and colored the image with Copics.

FS1007 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Abigail101 aka Abigail. I found this INSPIRATION.

USEIT2026 - Dragonfly & Clouds

For my card, I started by digging into the tote of pieces I am trying to use up and came across this dragonfly along with a set of soft clouds that felt like they had been waiting for the right project. They immediately set the tone for a light and airy design.

I paired them with a sheet of designer paper from my use it up stack, arranged the clouds across the panel, and added the dragonfly on dimensionals to give it lift and movement. The raised wings brought a nice sense of energy to the scene.

To finish the card, I layered the panel on white cardstock and then onto a purple card base to pull out the colors in the patterned paper. I added the sentiment on dimensionals as well, giving the final design a balanced, cohesive look.

For my card, I was inspired by the tropical birds in the challenge and reached for this vibrant Heartfelt Creations image. I stamped it, die cut it, and colored it with Copics, letting the bright tones bring out that fun tropical feel.

Next, I pulled out more of the paper pads I am working on using up this year and built a layout using bold, tropical colored patterns. Each panel is layered on white cardstock to give the design clean definition and help the colors stand out.

All of the layers are then mounted on a bright green card base, which ties in beautifully with the greens in both the papers and the image.

To finish the card, I popped the tropical bird up on dimensionals along with the birthday sentiment, then added several mirror candy dots for a shiny, festive touch that completes the design.

WT1106 - Thank a Caretaker

For today's card, I chose to thank an animal caretaker. I pulled out some paw print paper, layered it on light blue cardstock, and then added it to the white card base.

Next, I used my Impression Obsession die cuts and cut all of the pieces from my scraps to create the scrubs, the bandage, and the masks.

To finish the card, I stamped the thank you sentiment and popped it up on dimensionals.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

I was inspired by the bold flowers in the inspiration piece and started my card by pulling out a floral paper pad from my stash. I trimmed the layers and added green cardstock frames to each one for definition and contrast. Next, I reached for this adorable retired Heartfelt Creations image, colored it with Copics, and popped it up on dimensionals for added lift.

The card is finished with several candy dots, the sentiment popped up on dimensionals, and a coordinating bow from my tote of items I am working to use up.

For my card, I started with this adorable House Mouse image and colored it with Copics, letting the soft shading bring the little scene to life. Once the image panel was trimmed down, I framed it with a teal matting layer to give it a crisp, fresh pop of color.

From there, I reached into my stash and pulled out a patterned paper I am working to use up this year. Its tones paired beautifully with the teal, so I layered everything together and set it on a clean white card base to keep the design bright and balanced.

To echo the falling raindrops in the image, I finished the card with several teal gems. They add just the right amount of sparkle and help tie the whole design together.

WT1105 - Clocks / Time

For this card, I pulled out a couple of designer papers from my stash and added distressing to the base layers. I added a lace panel along the bottom and then layered two tags, finishing the cross tag with a lace accent.

Next, I added another pair of tags, the clock gears die cut, several flowers from my stash, and the charm. The flowers are finished with gold pearls, and I completed the card with a music themed designer tag and a gold bow to tie in the gold used throughout the design.

For this card, I pulled out a paper pad that I am trying to use up by the end of the year. I wanted to create a romantic anniversary card, so I paired the patterned papers with a strip of lace to separate the sections. I trimmed the center panel, added white framing to each layer, and die cut The Ton XOXO sentiment.

To finish the card, I popped the Happy Anniversary sentiment up on dimensionals and added a bow made from yarn that I found in my stash. The color matched the bottom designer paper perfectly, so it was a natural final touch for the sentiment panel.

For my card, I drew inspiration from the patriotic theme on Barbara’s design and remembered this stitched panel tucked in my tote of pieces I wanted to finally use. Instead of creating a starry background, I framed the stitched panel with a navy and white Swiss dot designer paper, then layered everything on a bold red panel before mounting it on a crisp white card base.

I was inspired by the family of elephants and immediately reached for this Altenew die cut set. I cut all of the elephant layers and added gray sponging around the edges to create soft dimension and definition.

Next I cut the designer paper layers from the stack of paper I am working to use up this year, adding green matting to coordinate with the colors in the scene. I placed the elephants on a white mat, added the same green matting, and layered everything onto the designer paper panels.

To finish the card, I stamped the Mother’s Day sentiment, die cut it with a label die, and popped it up on dimensionals for a clean and elevated look.

For my card, I reached for one of my favorite flower stamps a retired Stampin' Up image that has always been special to me. My son and his bride chose this flower for their wedding, so I colored the image in the same shades used in their bouquets.

After the coloring was finished, I added the sentiment, trimmed the panel, and popped it up on dimensionals. The focal piece is layered over an embossed kraft panel from a paper pad I am working to use up this year, and the finished design is mounted on a white card base.

I was immediately drawn to the three panel layout and it reminded me of the stack of paper strips I have been working through as part of my goal to use up several paper pads this year. I chose three coordinating strips and adhered them to a white cardstock panel, letting the patterns set the tone for the design. From there, I added a layer of gold mirror cardstock for shine and framed everything with a pink card base to pull out the soft tones in the strips.

For the focal point, I selected a playful thank you sentiment from Stampin Up to echo the inspiration card. I stamped the sentiment and image together, then colored the image with shades that match the paper strips so the whole piece feels cohesive.

To finish the card, I added a few pink sticker hearts from my stash of items I am trying to use up. They tie in with the card base and add a sweet final touch to the design.

IC1065 - A Pretty Fix - I found this INSPIRATION

I was instantly amused by the idea of vacuuming the tops of the cabinets. I just finished cleaning the tops of my tall bedroom cabinet by hand, and now I realize I could have saved myself a workout with the vacuum. I will file that under lessons learned for next time.

This funny Impression Obsession image of the lady staring down her vacuum was perfect for my inspiration. I stamped her on white cardstock and colored her with Copics, then spotted an animal print in the stack of papers I am determined to use up this year. That print felt too perfect to ignore, so I added a matching animal print pattern to her coat to tie everything together.

I layered the image and the sentiment on red cardstock, tucking the sentiment under the panel for a playful look. To finish the card, I placed everything on the bold animal print designer paper with a blue mat and added a few red gems to echo the red in the image and the sentiment banner.
