Just a Note

WT1093 - Music Playing Devices

For my card today, I wanted to create a design filled with music and energy, so I focused on bold color and texture. The panel was sponged with red, blue, green, and yellow Distress Oxide inks, then the Tim Holtz drum image was stamped on top.

Next, I added Nuvo Mousse through a stencil on a couple of corners to bring in extra dimension.

A light white splatter from a Heidi Swapp spritz added movement and contrast.

The card was finished with the Just A Note sentiment, white heat embossed on black cardstock, and the panel mounted on a white card base.

Peace

F4A824 - Birds

F4A825 - Music

MIX672 - Snowflakes

I began with the background, using a retired DRS Designs snowflake stamp. The image was white heat‑embossed to create a crisp resist, and then I blended two shades of distress oxide ink over the embossed snowflakes to add depth and variation in color.

For the focal point, I stamped the Stampendous bird image and heat embossed it in gold for a rich, metallic finish. After fussy cutting the bird, I sponged the edges with tan distress oxide ink to soften the cut lines and give the piece more definition.

To complete the design, I adhered the bird with dimensionals, allowing it to stand out against the snowy background and adding texture and lift to the overall composition.

Paint Birthday

WT1027 - Gold and Silver - use one or both

For my card, I pulled out this great splattered background that I created a few months ago soaking up leftover distress ink.

I die cut the pieces for the paintbrush and added the gold to the top part.

The card was finished with the birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a few scattered gold pearls.

Stars in the Sky

MMTPT850 - Stars in the Sky

For my card, I sponged 2 different distress oxide colors on black card stock. It appears as one color but up close it hints blue and purple.

Next, I used a star stencil and copper Nuvo mousse to stencil the stars.

Finally, I finished the card with a spritz of Heidi Swapp spray, popped the sentiment up on dimensionals and added a few scattered black gems.

Butterfly

MMTPT847 - Mixed Media MariLynn - Inspiration

For my card, I die cut this great butterfly from Spellbinders and created the shaped card. I layered with designer paper that I added distress ink sponging around the edges.

Next, I die cut several flowers, leaves and butterflies. I layered each of the pieces. For 2 of the flowers and the body of the butterfly I added some Heidi Swapp Tea Stain.

I finished the card with several scattered pearls.

Happy Friendsgiving

CAS761 - Mixed media

For my card I stamped the image and colored it with copics. I then added white gel pen and layered stickles on top of the gel pen.

I die cut the panel and layered on a white card base.

I then stamped the sentiment, colored the image and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.

Painted Thanks

MIX498 Told Die-mension

USEIT2022 - Bow

This background has been in my stash for many years. I recently got the paintbrush die cut from Spellbinders and this background was perfect for it. It was made with paint and shimmer.

I die cut the paint brushes, layered adding some dimensionals to give them a more 3D look. Added this bow from my tote of items and finished with the thanks banner.
