Hot Air Balloon Birthday

CAS905 - Balloons

For my card, I started with a clean white card base and added a kraft embossed panel from the stack of papers I am working on using up this year. The texture of the kraft layer gives the background a warm, rustic feel that works beautifully with the rest of the design.

Next, I die cut the balloon pieces and brought them to life with a mix of sponging and Copics to add depth and soft shading. The finished balloon is popped up on dimensionals for lift, and I tucked a small cloud underneath to create a simple, airy scene.

To finish the card, I added a straightforward birthday greeting at the bottom, also popped up on dimensionals, giving the design a clean and balanced final touch.

Cold Noses

CAS904 - Anything that walks

For my card, I reached for this adorable Technique Junkies image and stamped it onto white cardstock. I colored the sweet scene with Copics, letting the bright tones bring the characters to life. After trimming the panel, I layered it onto a black card base, which gives the artwork a crisp frame and makes the colors pop even more.

To finish the design, I added a few red hearts for a simple but charming touch that ties the whole card together.

Wild Birthday

CAS903 - Wild Animals

USEIT2026 - Giraffe

For my card, I began with a panel of white cardstock and masked off a small section to create a clean space for ink blending. Using Distress Oxide inks, I sponged a soft setting sun, letting the colors blend gently into one another for a warm glow. The masked edges give the scene a crisp, intentional look that helps the focal point stand out later.

Once the inked panel was finished, I trimmed it down and layered it on black cardstock to add contrast and definition. That framed panel was then mounted on a white card base, keeping the overall design clean while allowing the sunset colors to stay vibrant.

From my tote of items I am working to use up, I pulled out this giraffe image and added him over the setting sun. Popping him up on dimensionals gives the scene depth and makes him feel like he is stepping forward from the horizon. To finish the card, I added a simple birthday sentiment tucked just beneath the giraffe, keeping the design balanced and letting the warm sunset remain the star of the background.

Mr and Mrs

CAS902 - Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

For this card, I began with a bold black card base to set a dramatic backdrop for the design. The deep color creates an elegant contrast and instantly gives the card a formal, sophisticated feel. From there, I die cut this gorgeous Spellbinders wedding dress, which has such beautiful detail in the bodice and skirt. Once all the pieces were assembled, the dress had a lovely dimensional look that really stands out against the dark background.

I adhered the dress to the card front using dimensionals so the silhouette would lift away from the base and cast soft shadows, adding even more depth. To complement the elegance of the dress, I stamped the sentiment from DRS Designs and heat embossed it in gold. The metallic shine brings in a classic wedding touch and adds just the right amount of luxury without overpowering the focal point.

To finish the card, I added several green gems. Their sparkle gives a subtle diamond effect, echoing the feel of wedding jewelry and tying the whole design together with a refined, celebratory touch.

Praying for You

CAS897 - Favorite Flower

For my card, I reached for one of my favorite flower stamps a retired Stampin' Up image that has always been special to me. My son and his bride chose this flower for their wedding, so I colored the image in the same shades used in their bouquets.

After the coloring was finished, I added the sentiment, trimmed the panel, and popped it up on dimensionals. The focal piece is layered over an embossed kraft panel from a paper pad I am working to use up this year, and the finished design is mounted on a white card base.

Birthday Daisies

IC1059 - Quarter Moon Bazaar - INSPIRATION

USEIT2026 - Daisies

For this card, I was inspired by the gorgeous embroidered daisies on the pillow and remembered I had these daisies tucked in my tote of items to use up.

I die cut nine white squares and arranged them across the top of a white card base, then hot‑glued nine daisies centered on each square for a clean, quilt‑like look.

To finish the card, I added this beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampin Up in crisp black for a simple, striking focal point.

You Are Loved

CAS885 - Heart

USEIT2026 - Heart

For this card, I reached into my tote of items I want to use up. This is part of my annual challenge to work through those supplies, and I found a wood heart that I seem to have several of. It was perfect for this project.

For the white layer, I used a focal embossing folder and placed the wood heart in the center. A couple of tags were tucked under the heart, and I finished the panel with a few red pearls.

The entire piece is layered on a red card base for a clean, bold finish.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card today. Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated. If you leave a note, a visit to your blog will follow.
