Red & White Christmas

I got way behind in Christmas cards for 2016 so I am going to work on 2017 cards now and hopefully not get behind.

Using the candy cane Green Duck Embellishment of the red and white candy cane I die cut the large snowflake and mounted on dimensionals. Added a heat embossed white sentiment and finished off with some snowflakes and sequins.

Fishing Guy

Funny story about this card. I always show my DH and my little guy my cards when I get done and let them know the challenge. They both looked at me and said I colored the shirt the wrong color and I should have used flesh tones to show the other moon. Oh MEN!!! LOL!!!

Stamped the image and colored with copics. Masked the image and a circle and sponged in the sky to give a night time look to my fisherman.

Copics used: C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, E00, E31, E33, E35,  B000, B01, B02, B21, B23, B24, R24, R32, R37, R39, G12, G14, G17 & Y08

Quilted Hello

My wonderful MIL is a quilter. She was out at Thanksgiving and I mentioned I needed a new table runner and she came back at Christmas with a perfect table runner for me based on what I needed. She has made over 8 quilts for my home and I love everyone of them. When she mentioned she needed a gift for a fellow quilter I said how about a few quilt cards. So to the craft cave I went yesterday and then when I saw today's challenge I knew I could swipe one of the BG's I started for today's teapot challenge. Not to worry, I am still making her several for her friend.

Die cut the quilt frame and switched out the blocks for white blocks. Stamped the Heartfelt Creations flower and colored with copics. Popped the flower on dimensionals and added some punched branches. Finished off with some sequins and the sentiment.

Copics used: BV000, BV11, BV13, BV17, G12, G14, G17 and G85.

Quilted Hello

Here comes Santa Claus

I used different snowy DP and lined the BG sponging the edges of each layer. I tore the white snowbank and sponged it. Using this fun sleigh embellishment from Green Duck Designs I put it up on dimensionals and stamped the sentiment.

Cat Notes

Today's fun inspiration challenge on SCS has a great dress that inspired this fun card.

Stamped the image, masked if off. Used aqua distress ink on the left and blue on the right as the dress has both colors. Then splattered yellow and black acrylic paint. I rubbed it on his tail as if to show where he got in the paint. Once he was unmasked I colored him with some additional brown distress ink and stamped the sentiment.

MIX204 - Wrap it up

In our family we do not use much traditional wrapping paper, we use reusable cloth bags. Using a fabric from my stash with Santa (on black so it looks like night to me) I cut it down to fit behind the Gina Marie quilt die cut. Cut Die cut the quilt frame and glued over the fabric and mounted on the CS.

Stamped the sentiment and mounted it on black paper. For the Mix challenge the sentiment is ink and I added stickles to the snowflakes on the fabric to give it some shine but I don't think that took too well in the photograph and also added stickles to portions of the sentiment layer.

Scarecrow Thanks

For today's FS challenge on SCS I found a wonderful Scarecrow card and just had to use this embellishment from Green Duck.

Super fast card, the base is white SC, then a layer of brown SC then the DP. Added the ribbon and layered the scarecrow and finished off with the die cut Thanks.

Thanks!

The inspiration board is amazing today with wonderful ceramic art to inspire us.

I love the warm colors and used them to create this thank you card. Since I have finished my Christmas cards it is time to get started on thank you cards. The image from Seasonally Scattered is from a sweet friend. I cut it down and mounted on a couple of layers. Used some flowers from my stash in some of the rich tones in the ceramic pot and added some homemade candy dots to finish off the flowers.

Thanks!

Christmas 4 All

I am way behind in my Christmas cards again this year so I am going to have to dig deep and crank out a card for the many that I did not get individual cards made. This will be my Christmas card for the masses again.

Sponged the blue in two different blues. Stamped my Santa sleigh many times to get the dark black with my Misti. Heat embossed in silver the sparkles that the sleigh is leaving in a trail. Used a tiny clear gem and a red sharpie for Rudolph's nose.

Famous Reindeer

I use to watch the old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie every year as a kid. When I saw this image I just had to get it from ODBD. I stamped the image and colored with copics and die cut it.

Added a frame around my sentiment. The light blue layer is an emboss resist where I used snowflakes then added the blue over the embossed snowflakes. Popped up the frame on dimensionals. Put additional dimensionals under Rudolph and added stickles to his nose.

Stamped and added the HFC poinsettia to the corner and colored adding stickles to the edge of the flower. Finished the sentiment off with some stickles where the stars appear. Can't get a great picture but is is really sparkly.

Copics used: Y11, Y17, E31, E33, E35, E37, E51, R32. R37, R39 and B05

Christmas Moose

I love how fast I can create a card with these embellishments. Added the wood texture to the base stamped my sentiment and die cut the banner. Finished off by putting the moose wreath and sentiment on dimensionals.

Winter Christmas

Today's challenge is an explosion on SCS.

I did an explosion of snow in the BG for my sparkly tree from Green Duck. I am still trying to get my Christmas cards done for this year and this was a fast one I could create to send.

Embossed the snowy BG on the top panel, stamped the sentiment on the bottom panel and added a strip of the blue from the card base to separate the two panels. Stamped the sentiment and filled in the stars with stickles to mirror the sparkle on the tree.

M&M Treat Bags

I used the long treat bags and filled them with red and green M&Ms. Then I used these darling Green Duck embellishments. I punched some red and green scraps (love using scraps) with a scalloped circle punch. Attached them to the tops of the treat bags.

I made these for my little guy to take to school for his lunch buddies because he asked me for a snack he could share with his lunch buddies for a holiday treat exchange. I hope they like the snack.

Catgratulations

Today's Featured Stamper on SCS has such a wonderful gallery and I just had to do a card to honor her. I loved a sweet card made by a child in her life with a hand drawn cat.
