Week ending 1/14/18

FS570 - the super talented TRACY FREEMAN
{aka Tracy_inkyfingers}. I found this adorable Card.

As soon as I saw the bear I knew I knew I needed to finally finish up my Di's Digi image. I colored it with pencils taking the Kit and Clowder class. I just love this little image.

Thinking of You

SC679 - this week's sketch

Stamped the darling Penny Black (Mo Manning) image and colored with pencils. Embossed the BG and layered.

Here 4 You

WT670 - Let's circle around

USEIT2018 - I used up the last of the paper I saved from the Pink and Main bag that my stamps came packaged. :) I know it is an odd use it but it was sitting on my desk and just had to be used on a card. LOL!

Stamped the sweet Mo Manning/Penny Black image and colored with copics.

This card was super fun to create. I have been going through my craft room trying to use stuff up. Well the bottom paper is from a Pink and Main bag that we get our stamps in. I just had to save it for a card and I thought it would be perfect with this card. Then the top piece is left over wall paper from my old house. I love the texture in the paper and it works great on cards.

I finished the card off with some stickles on the bubbles and the die cut circles.

Happy Birthday Boy

MIX259 - New Year New Toys

My sweet nephew came over to visit with my son and saw the cards I was making and asked if I could make a kitty card for his sister. Well of course I can make a kitty card for my niece. :)

This sweet kitty image is new from Unity. I just love this series of stamps and can't get enough of them.

Stamped the image and colored with pencils. Stamped the sentiment in versamark and heat embossed in white. Popped the sentiment on dimensionals.

Happy Purrthday

F4A412 - Memories

My memory this Christmas is having my amazing MIL move in with us. She has been so wonderful helping with all the running, helping me clean, and just being an ear when we need one. She had her quilt friends over for Christmas and bought the most beautiful poinsettia that is still so stunning in our living room. I love walking by it every day and seeing the beauty.

CCC18JUN - Remake a card from 2017 I loved this CARD however it took a while to put together with the cut BG, stamping, coloring, shimmer paint and layering. This one is much quicker only cutting, layering and adding Nuvo Drops. :) Plus I cranked out 3 to try to get ahead of the number of Christmas cards I will need for 2018. I need about 25% more cards this year so starting early. :)

Super quick cards, the flowers were already cut (using stuff up) I punched out the green sprigs and layered. Stamped the sentiment and cut the borders. Finished the cards off with ribbon and Nuvo drops.

Christmas Poinsettia

IC632 - UncommonGoods, I found this super adorable LION.

I am working my way through my craft goodies trying to use stuff up and the lion reminded me of this Green Duck embellishment.

Cut the base layer and embossed. Die cut three circles in coordinating colors to the Green Duck embellishment and embossed the green layer. popped the lion up on dimensionals, tied a ribbon and finished off with some star sequins.

Welcome Baby Lion

Week of December 31st Cards

Welcome to 2018! I am happy to share my cards and hope that you enjoy them. Feel free to leave comments and if ever you have a question please share it as a comment and I will reply back.

WT669 - New Year, New to You. I was the hostess for this weeks Ways to Use It and this was a fun card to create.

SCSCCJAN18 - DD Christmas challenge January

CCC18JUL - cool off with snow

This Unity image is brand new to me and I just took my first ever coloring class from Kit and Clowder. I really had a blast with the coloring class and may sign up for a few more.

Colored the girl with pencils. Die cut the snowflake oval and cut another oval out of the red DSP. Put the image below the DSP and added some stickles to the snowflakes (Sorry hard to photograph). Mounted the sentiment on dimensionals and finished off with a few additional punched snowflakes and gems.

Warm Wishes

TLC671 - Everything Old is New Again TLC84

TLC84 - Black and White

This is one of the last pieces on this paw print paper that I had saved up for pet sympathy cards. Thankfully my wonderful MIL knows how much I do for pet sympathy and she found more paw prints for me and gave me some for Christmas. So keeping with my 2018 Goal to use stuff up I tucked this scrap behind a die cut heart and stamped the sentiment in versamark and used white emboss powder for the sentiment.

 Loving Companion

CAS462 - Chilled Thanks

Continuing my 2018 theme of using stuff up everything on this card was sitting on my desk trying to get used up.

Punched the 4 little snowflakes from scraps. The large one was already punched. The center border was an emboss resist with distress ink and white embossing and the flags are scraps from my Christmas cards. Finished off with some stickles.

Thanks

MMTPT493 - Music by the Sea

This was super quick this morning as I have to get to work. Stamped the sentiment and die cut the sea shells. Sponged the sea shells in blue from the same ink as the sentiment and layered the blue CS behind the sentiment panel.

By the Sea

SC678 - this weeks sketch

USEIT2018 - using these unused die cut bunnies.

Continuing my quest to use stuff up I had these three bunnies die cut on my desk for over a year.

Die cut the circles and punched the lace border. Embossed the bottom panel and popped the bunnies and bottom panel on dimensionals. Finished off with some ribbon.

Easter Bunnies

F4A411 - Stripes

MIX - Gold or Silver

I am working my way through 2018 trying to use stuff up. This card is a bunch of left over scraps, some Green Duck embellishments, Ribbon, Sequins and Bakers Twine. Yep a scrappy card to hopefully fit today's two challenges.

Used the green duck embellishments and added some silver shimmer spray to the baby bottle (not sure if you can see the shine in the photo. Mounted the embellishments on dimensionals. Cut down the scraps and layered. Die cut the circles and added some ribbon scraps to the bottom. Finished off with some gold sequins, bakers twine and the sentiment.

Congrats Baby

IC631 - Design Sponge: I found this incredible room IMAGE.

I love the muted colors of the black, white and grey and thought it would work well to use some papers with the colors. I added a few layers, stamped the sentiment and finished off with a pink heart that was sitting on my desk.

All the papers on this card are from scraps in my scrap drawer. I am trying to push myself to use up as much of the pieces of papers as i can to clear out the hoarded bits and pieces that have collected. It is my goal for 2018 to use stuff up.

Week of 12/24/17 Cards

FS568 - Heidi, better known as howdyheidi. I found this super cute CARD.

CCC18JAN - Silhouette

I have officially started my 2018 cards. I am going to need over 100 next year with that in mind I know I will fall behind because I will have a few months where I will forget to make Christmas cards. So I am starting now.

I liked the way Heidi had the Happy over the wreath so I put a die cut wreath that was sitting on my desk down on top of a sponged BG and added the word JOY that also has been sitting on my desk for a long time. Finished off with the gem.

Joy

SC677 - this weeks sketch

Sponged on distress oxides in the colors of the rainbow. Die cut the paw prints and stamped the sentiment. Die cut the poodle and popped it up on dimensionals.

This card was very emotional grabbing to me when I created it. I love how this turned out and plan on making more. I am not sure why this one really got to me but it turned out better than I had initially imagined.

Lost Pet

WT668 - Tick Tock

MMTPT492 - A Wren & Two Turtle Doves

Used DPs and sponged the TH clock on the DPs. Cut down the pink plaid and popped on dimensionals. Added a lace trim and some HFC leaves and some punched flowers. Finished off with some pearls and the bird that were sitting on my desk.

The DPs, flowers and bird are all items that were sitting on my desk. I am making it my goal for 2018 to use stuff up and this card sure meets that goal. That bird has been on my desk for a year. Glad to have it on a card.

Girl Time

F4A410 - Favorite Stamp

MIX257 - Favorite Technique

I love this sentiment stamp set from Artzy. I have used it on a ton of cards this year for pet sympathy as I make a bunch of pet sympathy cards and donate them. This has been my go to set and with it I have made and donated over 200 cards this year. I anticipate doing more next year and this set is perfect for those cards.

My favorite technique right now is to add distress oxide inks in a stencil. I love the new distress oxides they spread so smoothly and can be added to white or colored card stock. Here I used the red (more like pink) to this grey and it really stands out beautifully.

Faithful Companion

IC630 - World Market where I found this super cute Card.

CCC18FEB - Santa and his reindeer (sorry no Santa on this one but I have the reindeer.)

I grabbed this DP for my base with the red deer then layered the white layer with the fancy edge. Finished the card off with the last of the Christmas Green Duck images from last year to finish using them up.

My 2018 goal is to use stuff up. This card used up the last of the Christmas embellishments from Green Duck. I am taking one bag, one set of stickers, one set of die cuts that I have sitting on piles on my desk and pulling them over to use and get rid of. This is my own goal for 2018 so I can make room for the stuff I love and want to use.

Christmas Wrapping

FS569 the super talented Nan Cee's. I found this Beauty.

Cut down some DSP for the top rather than the white and used a fancy trim for the edge. Stamped the flower and added some punches leaves. Finished off with a punched stamen and pearl.

Using stuff up for 2018 is my goal. The leaves and flower were sitting on my desk waiting to be used along with the white border. I hope to have the piles of stuff that has been sitting waiting for cards cleaned up by the end of year so that I can finally get to crafting with some fun new goodies.
