Week of 3/14/20 Cards

IC745 - The Gray Muse where I found This Pin on Pintrist I saw the rainbow of colors and thought it was perfect inspiration for a birthday card for an artist
F4A525 - Roy G Biv
MIX372 - Supply Dash - my 2 basic mixed media supplies are embossing and distress inks
Stamped the DRS Designs birthday background stamp 2 times with versamark ink to fill the card base and heat embossed white embossing powder.
Used all the colors of the ROYGBIV using distress inks.
Cut down the layers and matted finishing with gems.

 WT783 - We've Got Curves
Die cut the baby bottom out of light pink with the large oval die cut. Die cut the dark pink out of the same large oval then cut the sides off to show the legs.
Cut pink strips out of the dark pink and punched the lace strips and crimped.
Layered and added the pink bow.
Used my Cricut to cut the feet and popped them on dimensionals. Sponged a dark pink around the feet.

Baby Girl Bottom
 MMTPT607 - Coffee and kindness--the perfect blend. Let's do some ink blending
Heat embossed the BG and blended blue and brown on the heat embossed base. Stamped the image and colored with copics. Stamped, cut and shaped the flowers and used yellow and 2 blues on the flowers. Shaped and finished with stickles and nuvo drops. Popped the cup on dimensionals.

Coffee
 CAS576 - Thirds - Divide your card in to 3 distinct sections
Cut the white layer and stamped the clouds and used copic markers for the grass. Stamped the sentiment and used a die cut for the dog.
Layered on the DP and trimmed with black paper. Finished with the heart on the dog.

Pet Sympathy
FS683 - the super talented Faith aka PeonySnail is this weeks Featured Stamper. I was inspired by this CARD
I used a different layout as she used a weekly sketch. I also used a different image. Colored the House Mouse image and cut it in an oval as she has on her card. Cut the layers and finished with a ribbon, button and some die cut egg shaped die cuts that are the colors of the jelly beans the mouse is holding.

Week of 3/7/20 Cards

IC744 - Today's Inspiration challenge Quiltspirations where I found this amazing QUILT.

WOW What inspiration on that board.

I needed to get a few congratulations cards made for my monthly donation for the pets and loved the bold layout on the quilt.

I stamped the DRS paw prints on each of the white strips and cut down layering on the brown. Stamped the DRS dog image and colored with copics and die cut the layers. Stamped the sentiment and cut a couple of flag banners. Embossed the tan layer and put the card together. I finished with a simple punched pink heart.


 FS682 - the incredibly talented Maura Hibbitts, better know around here as onecraftystamper is this weeks featured stamper. I found this great CARD

USEIT2020 - Punched hearts

When I saw Maura's card I was drawn to the textures and the bold layout on an angle.

Using up this image that was on my table already colored waiting on a card I added the texture to the base and layered. Stamped the sentiment and finished with some hearts that were already die cut in my stack of items I am trying to use up this year.

 CAS575 - Grey Scale use only shades of grey on your project.

Stamped the dog and cut the layers and sentiment. Stamped the sentiment on front and finished with a gem on the dog and the top layer on dimensionals.

With Sympathy
 MMTPT606 - A little birdy told me...

Stamped the Unity image and colored with copics. Cut layers and layered finishing off with sequins.

USEIT2020 - Poppy dies & Ribbons

MAR20VSNMINI3 - White flowers (I put the white poppy flower in front as it meets this challenge) the other card is laying in the BG in the picture.

When I saw the color challenge for today I just had to pull out these last two poppy dies that were in my stash of stuff to use up. I did a few of these cards some time ago and did these exact same cards to finish using these out of my stash.

Layered the dies on DP, added ribbons from the stack of stuff I am trying to use up and stamped the sentiment. Popped the poppy panels up on dimensionals.

Heat embossed the sentiment. Used gel medium with a stencil for the BG. Die cut the leaves and butterflies and layered. Popped the sentiment on dimensionals and finished with pearls.

Week of 2/29/20 Cards

I have created my first DRS Design card featuring two graduation stamps. Since I need to get another 18 more graduation cards done for this year I am working on them in advance so I don't fall behind.

FS681 - the super talented featured stamper is Shelly Schmidt aka mcschmidty. I found this fantastic CARD.
I need to make 18 more graduation card as we have a bunch of my son's friends graduating this year. Shelly's terrific card was perfect for inspiration. The School colors are black and yellow so I used those colors on the card.

I used the DRS graduation hats and stamped them on the yellow strips. Alternating black and yellow I die cut the panel with a pierced rectangle to pick up the piercing on Shelly's card. I added the star emboss folder to the panel. Stamped the sentiment and popped on dimensionals on the yellow layer. Finished with a handmade tassel and some sequins.

CCC20FEB - Tone on Tone (Layers of different reds and greens to color the image)
Stamped the image and colored with copics then ran through the EF to add the snow embossing. Stamped the sentiment and popped on dimensionals.

Tis' The Season
 MMTPT605 - kintsugi art
Used photo paper and blue and purple alcohol ink and blending solution to create the layer. Then used a versamark pen and created the gold threading on the layer.
Finished both cards putting them on dimensionals and adding the die cut flowers and sentiments.
I loved this so much I created a second card to use for a birthday card.

 WT781 - A Blast From the Past, It's National Retro Day - things like lava lamps, seventies hair-dos, VW beetles, peace signs?? Anything retro
Stamped the image and colored with pencil. Cut paper layers and layered then used a music EF on the layers. Finished with the banners and music note stickers. Popped the sentiment on dimensionals.

Did the tissue paper technique on the BG and cut thin black stripes to add to the card layout. Die cut the hat, stamped the DRS Designs sentiment and popped on dimensionals. layered and finished with gems, flowers and nuvo drops.

2020 Grad

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt creations card kit
When I saw the VSN challenge for big blooms I grabbed a Heartfelt Creations kit that I am trying to use up and went to town. Sponged the colors on the flowers and seahorse, popped the frame on dimensionals and created the shaker card. Shaped the flowers and seahorse. Finished the card off with stickles.

USEIT2020 - Teacup
Super quick card, cut the DP with the white flowers and used a teacup out of the bin of items I am trying to get used up. Popped it on dimensionals and added the white heart with stickles. and the sentiment.

This rooster image was in my stash of items to use up. It was printed and came colored. Cutting many scrap DPs and layered distressing several layers. Added lace, button and bakers twine and popped the image on dimensionals.

I have had these feathers for over a year and when I saw the inspiration I knew it was time to get them on cards. Cut the layers, punched the lacy border, stamped the sentiments and added the feathers and some sequins.
