Congratulations Grad

FS873 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Anita aka Ausmex, I found this wonderful INSPIRATION.

I am working on graduations cards as a few will be graduating this next year from high school and college. Anita's card was perfect to inspire me on my card.

For my card, I used up some graduation scrap papers from a grad paper pack bought in 2021. I created the layout and added some red to accent the papers as the school colors for college are Red, Black and White.

The grad cap is a sticker and I finished the card with some red pearls and the congratulations sentiment from Trinity Stamps.

Be Mine

IC934 - At Home - INSPIRATION

I was inspired by the pillows and used that for my inspiration. I die cut the pieces to the Tim Holtz chocolate box and layered using cream, tan and dark brown to represent white chocolate, chocolate and dark chocolate.

I also die cut some light pink and added some red to add a bit more color to the chocolate pieces along with some stickles.

Under the top candy box I added a layer of doily and under the base heart I added some pink feathers.

The card was finished with a Be Mine tag and pink ribbon.

Choose Joy

FF23ShoeGirl - Large Print Designer Paper (Bring out those designer papers with very large images or designs and show us how you use them)

For my card, I found this really large, printed wreath in my paper pack. It is meant for a 5.5 x 5.5 card. I usually don't make cards that large as postage is a bit more for them. I used a piece of acetate that is measured 4.25 x 5.5 to find where to cut down the image so it would work on a smaller card front. I then glued it to the card front and added a dimensional flower and some punched leaves from my stash to add some interest to the wreath.

Now some might think well you will need to add extra postage for the flower. Yes, if I were mailing this, I would still need extra postage but this one will be hand delivered. :)

More Christmas

FF23tessaduck - Brenda's gift card holder

For my gift card holder, I followed the directions Brenda provided using green shimmer card stock. I then embossed just the front of the card stock to add some interest.

The collar was fussy cut and trimmed with some black gems. I used some scrap black card stock and die cut the gold belt to add a belly band to the gift card holder.

For my second card:

FF23cdimick - 2 part challenge: 1. Embossed resist technique without embossing powder or heat. 2. Use your panel to make a Christmas card in non-traditional Christmas colors.

I did the emboss resist for the snowflake and used pink for my nontraditional color.

I then heat embossed the sentiment on black and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals and finished with a few scattered black gems.

Western Birthday

WT972 - Wild West

For my card, I found in my scrap drawer a piece of already created bandanna paper that I created some time ago and needed to use up.

I also found in another scrap drawer the rope embossed layer.

I created the layout, stamped the horse and colored the image with copics.

I then stamped the birthday sentiment and popped it up on dimensionals.

The card was finished with several black gems.

Get Well Soon

FF23LuvLee - Fall Colors with Glitter

For my card, I used several fall colored scraps to create my card layout. A few of them have glitter. I used the herringbone technique and layered on a dark brown card stock.

The Get Well sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and the card was finished with a fancy fiber lace and some scattered sequins.

Birthday Cards

FF23smadson - mixed media & use 3 of the following 6: Blue, lace, heat embossing, paint, recycled item, nuvo drops (I used Blue, Lace, Heat emboss and Nuvo Drops)

For my card, I used the Spellbinders pie die cut and created a blueberry pie. I found some already punched lace paper and I ran it through a crinkle tool to add some texture.

The card was finished with stickles and blue Nuvo Drops along with a heat embossed sentiment.

FF23Scraperwannabe - Fall Farmers Market Inspiration

For my second card, I used lots of paper scraps and another Spellbinders die cut to create my fall scene. I added a birthday sentiment to the sign and the pumpkins have copics added for some color.

All the leaves, basket and sign have some sponging added to give the scene some dimension and there are a few dimensionals added as well. The basket and sign were finished with silver Nuvo Drops.
