For my card, I recently picked up this My Favorite Things die cut and wanted to use it. I stitched a birthday cake on a tag, added a ribbon and layered on an embossed white background.

Pretty cross stitch focal element Lisa, and very effective leaving everything else white, really draws the eye in.
