Cats Eyes
FS543 challenge is the super talented kraftyaunt - Beverl. Wowza if you have not seen her gallery you should check it out. I found this wonderful Card. It reminded me of this fantastic Technique Junkies cat. The image was sent to me by my friend Jan (Precious Kitty). Colored the image with copics then added Crystal Effects to the eyes to give them some dimension and interest. |

Laura
FS542 challenge - the amazing gallery of AJ Bodine, aka rutabagapie. I found this brilliant Card.
My friend Jan (Precious Kitty) sent me a stack of red cards with some DP glued down. I was searching for ways to use the stack of started cards and when I saw the FS card breaking up the left side of the panel it really was a great way to layer my card for breaking up the card base.
Using this wonderful Unity image colored with copics and layering on black CS I added some memory box die cuts to give her some pop and added the rose layer of DP to the top of the CS. Finished off with some liquid pearls.
I showed this card to my DH and he said this is Laura. Laura is his sister. So I think I will need to mail this card to her. She will love knowing her brother saw her in this image.
My apologies I had thought I grabbed the copics I used for this darling girl but I put them away too soon.

IC604 challenge - Celebrating Pattern Paper
I loved the video that talked about how to pair up patterned paper. It suggested:
1 large print (Dark Brown)
1 medium print (Bold Stripped)
1 small print (Pink Stripped)
1 solid contrast (Black & Cream)
Keep only 1 Multi Colored Pattern (Stripped)
Playing with my scrap bin I decided the patterned pieces & layout. I added the bold solid brown color to get the pieces to pop off of the card and laid out the pieces. I popped the top piece on dimensionals and added a few gems here and there. Super video on today IC challenge, you should check it out HERE.
This wonderful Unity image was sent to me a Teapot Tuesday card from my wonderful SCS friend Carla. Thank you Carla, I loved playing with this image. She is colored with pencil. I also finished the image off with some small punched hearts and the large butterfly that both were sponged with some pink to pick up the pink in the DPs.

Used a purple strip and punched the lace used a brown DP strip and layered with two purple strips that were cut off the edge of the base layer. Finished off with the ribbon.

Freedom & Happiness
MMTPT466 challenge - Create a card featuring any of the various fun activities, for celebrating the day, whatever you have a memories of from your own celebrations. Try to include a little red white and blue, but you can use other colors too.
For me on the 4th I enjoy the day outdoors either on a picnic or gardening or watching fireworks. I enjoy the freedom and happiness of the day so I used this great stamp from unity that had the perfect sentiment for the 4th of July. I colored her in red, white and blue. I added some velum for the sentiment a couple additional white flowers with liquid pearls.

Awesome Autumn
IC603 challenge: Fun with Scrapbook Projects - I found this awesome Card. The banner really pulled me in to the card. I pulled out my stack of DP trying to use up some scraps and cut them down for the base and for the grass looking hill on my card. Added the banner and put the flowers on the banner rather than on the hill. finished off with the sentiment. The apples were fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals and colored with pencils. |
