Several Birthday Cards

 

WT906 - Use faux suede (For this challenge, the technique where you are able to weaken paper and then peel the layers apart).

USEIT2022 - leather bow

I created the faux suede layer then glued the layers. Die cut the hat and added some of the same color to the ribbon area of the hat. I finished with the heat embossed sentiment and the bow.

Masculine Birthday

DTGD22taclary - It's All about the Glitter. Use glitter paper or just glitter on your card.

For this card I used a Heartfelt Creations collection to create the flowers. Once stamped I shaped and layered finishing the flowers off with stickles (Glitter) and prills. 

The base is die cut with a shaped die cut and layered adding some dimension to the sentiment.

DTGD22ForestRanger - There's something piece-ful about a flower garden... create a floral card that includes some paper-piecing.

For this card I stamped the base layer with the background sunflower stamp from Heartfelt Creations. I then added some designer paper layers adding a bit of distressing to the layers.

Stamped the sunflowers, shaped and layered adding prills and stickles.

DTGD22JRHolbrook - Animals celebrate Christmas, too! Include animals on your Christmas card.

For this card I used a cute die cut to create this bear and found this fun paper in my tote of scrap papers that is perfect for a bear.

Once layered I added the Christmas sentiment.

DTGD22mcschmidtyB - Its all about strips! Cut paper strips 1/4" or so and add to a background. Use any colors of your choice- use up your scraps!

I dug through my Christmas scraps to create this herringbone background. Once it was glued down I finished with the sentiment and the poinsettia.

For this card I embossed the black card base then die cut the leaves and popped them up on dimensionals finishing with the sentiment.

For this card I had the image and sentiment in my stack of stamped items needing used up. I colored the image with copics, cut the layers and added a few scattered hearts.

MMTPT730 - Happy Colors

For this card I found these already cut balloon papers in my scrap designer papers. I used a die cut plate to add interest to the pink layer then matted on black. Layered the balloon papers and finished with the die cut sentiment and a few scattered sequins.

One of my oldest stamps is this little rose from an old Stampin Up collection. I am not sure that I have ever used the rose from that collection and it seemed perfect to add to this herring bone quilt birthday card.

I needed to use up this image from my stack of images. Once colored I cut the layers, tore some tan paper for the beach and finished with the sentiment and bird.

DTGD22yoorah - Winged creatures! Be it birds, bees, butterflies (or planes), create a card using a winged creature (or two or a dozen!)

USEIT2022 - Wood Bird

I needed to use up this large wood bird from my tote. For the base under the bird I used yellow and pink distress oxide ink and sponged the square.

I added black paint to the wood bird so it would stand out more then layered on the black card base once the panel was created.

I finished this off with the birthday sentiment and some sequins.

This navy image is from an old paper plate. I just could not let it go to the trash so I cut off the image part for a card front.

I finished it with a couple of punched hearts.

SC915 - This week's Sketch

I needed to get a few thank you cards made for my pet donations. This card was really quick because the designer paper is a scrap from my stash of paper scraps and all I did was cut the sentiment and glued the layers. I always have dogs, dog bowls and hearts ready for card fronts.
