Week of 4/18/20 Cards

FS688 - the very talented featured stamper this week is Karen (stampngokaren). This CARD was the perfect inspiration.

Using the DRS Designs Graduation sentiment I stamped it on white paper and then die cut it with the scroll. Sponged the edge and used a copic marker along the die cut scroll edge.

The base layer is embossed and then I used the DRS Designs Graduation cap and colored it with copics. Finished the card off with punched stars and sequins.

USEIT2020 - die cut flowers

I used 2 different greens to create the ombre color on the masked panel. Then I grabbed my tote of die cuts I am trying to use up and found this great die cut flower. Popped it up on dimensionals, added the sentiment and finished with different green gems.

USEIT2020 - Carolers

Going through my tote of stuff I am trying to use up I found these carolers that needed to be put on a card. The WTUI challenge was perfect inspiration to get me to use them.

The carolers were white and I added black acrylic paint to them for the card.

I die cut the fence and punched several red flowers. Popped the frame on dimensionals and put the carolers on dimensionals.

Glued the fence and added the ref poinsettias to the fence. Finished with Nuvo Drops.

USEIT2020 - Stickers

The senior class of 2020 will not be having a prom or graduation this year. In our county a resident decided to start up a FB group to honor seniors and have people "adopt" them. We are going to start mailing cards, gift cards, letters and just pour on the love to them. Well I grabbed a super special senior from my son's school. In our marching band he was the kid that made the show for me. He is one of my son's dearest friends and if you look up the Avon Marching band grand national competition from 2019 he is the sax player that puts his horn down in the middle of the show and starts doing back flips. I just admire this kid so much. This will be my first card to him.

Cut the layers, grabbed the music die cut from memory box and glued down to the brick emboss white. Die cut the circles and used stickers to embellish.

Marching Band
 F4A530 - True Heroes

I am sure most of you are wondering why I am calling the class of 2020 True Heroes...Well they are in my eyes.

Many will not have a graduation ceremony. Some are going straight from class to the field. They are doctors, nurses, military, and many other front line workers already in the groceries working their way through classes and still out there working. I salute all of them with these cards.

I am trying to build as many graduation cards as I can so that I can help celebrate these great individuals that are moving on in their next phase of life.

Quick cards, cut the banners, embossed the base layer, die cut the graduates and die cut the numbers.

Please if you know of a senior graduating this year consider dropping them a note, card or a message to congratulate them. Many are missing out this year and need to know that they should be celebrated.

Class of 2020
 MIX377 - Vacation time

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

I am trying to use up my Heartfelt Creations card kits as they no longer sell them and they are taking up space in my craft room. When I saw today's MIX challenge I knew this sentiment was perfect for the challenge.

For us when we take vacations we usually meet up with family and friends. We are missing so many of them.

This kit came stamped and cut. I colored the images and sponged the layers and glued down. Finished off with some stickles.

Let's Hang Out
IC750 - Tags where I found this great Tag

USEIT2020 - Die cut World

When I saw the Pintrist tag I remembered I had 2 of these die cut world dies in my tote of items to use up. I am working on creating as many graduation cards as I can for this year's seniors and I thought those world dies would be perfect for some grad cards.

Cut the layers, die cut the diploma and stamped the sentiment. Sponged the edge of the diploma and finished off with some stickers.

Week of 4/11/20 Cards

FS687 - the super talented feature stamper this week is Sharon (sharonwisely). I found this set of TAGS. I was inspired by the individual tag with the leaf.

I stamped the DRS Designs tree image and masked the setting sun with a white punched circle.

Sponging light yellow, orange, mauve, purple and navy from bottom to top and then back down to blend the colors. Next I removed the masked circle and lightly added the light yellow to give it some color.

I hand drew in the hill and finished off with white gel for stars.

Stamped the birthday sentiment and popped the image and sentiment on dimensionals on the birch tree embossed background.

Seeing the Beauty...in Nature
CAS580 - Baby Love - use a baby something on your card, human, animal, etc. (baby Jesus & sheep)

CCC20APR - Non traditional colors (Brown & Blue)

These manger images were sent to me by Jan (Precious Kitty). I colored all of them up and used them for a stack of cards.

The panel was masked and used 3 different blues to sponge the sky. Then punched yellow paper and put it behind the manger scene. Popped the image on dimensionals.

Used white gel pen and die cut the star for the sky and stamped the sentiment.

Wishing You...
MMTPT611 - Use a stencil, purple, and of course, stamping. Spiritual cards are welcome

Sponged the BG with a leaf stencil in green. Die cut the butterflies and added green to the large butterfly. Heat embossed the sentiment and popped on dimensionals. Finished off with sequins.

I decided that a few family and friends that are single and can't get out to see people also needed cards and this was a super quick card to make so I made a couple extra to send to some other sweet ladies. I hope it brightens their day. It seems many can use some extra card love right now.

WT787 - Ways to use Purple

USEIT2020 - Die cut Purple Heart

These cards started out with me wanting to use up the die cut purple heart from my tote. Then I decided I needed to get a few more pet sympathy cards for my monthly donation.

Cut a coordinating purple DP for the first layer then a light purple layer all layered over a black layer. The light purple layer was embossed with a script EF.

Used the purple heart under the die cut dog and for the cat I added a punched purple heart. Finished with the sentiment and a couple of black banners.

Colored the images with copics. Shaped the images and sponged the edges of the layers. Finished with stickles.

Week of 4/4/20 Cards

FS686 - the incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Betty (gabbygal). I found this CARD and this CARD and could not decide between them. So I merged them to my card.

I used the inspiration of the black and white long strips of paper and used the DRS Designs Tassel stamp for my long strips. I put them across the entire BG and then cut it down to mirror the second card of the white strip. I trimmed with gold and then the black card base to mirror the layout of the second card.

I then used the DRS Designs let the Adventure BEGIN sentiment stamp and trimmed it in gold.

I finished the card off with the graduation cap and stars stickers.

Adventure BEGIN
CAS579 - March into April with a parade

Stamped the image and colored with copics. Cut the layers, punched the DP layer. Popped the sentiment on dimensionals.

My Guy
IC748 - Today's inspiration American Meadows where I found this great IMAGE.

My sister requested an anniversary card as this year is her 20th anniversary. She wanted an arch on the card and left the rest up to me.

When I saw the inspiration of pink and blue I wanted to incorporate her 4 amazing kids and so I added 1 pink and 3 blue flowers for those sweet babies.

Shaped the flowers, used this great bride and groom die cut sent to me from Jan (Precious Kitty) and popped the arch and couple on dimensionals. Added the flowers and leaves and finished with nuvo drops and the bow.
