Happy Father's Day

CAS685 - Boat/Nautical

It is time for me to get started on Father's Day cards. This SAILBOAT - 887F is perfect for any father in my family.

  • I stamped the SAILBOAT - 887F with memento black ink and colored with copics and added some light sponging for the clouds.
  • Next, the SMALL HAPPY FATHER'S DAY GREETING - 827B was stamped and I used some coordinating blue from the water to color the Father's word.
  • The black card base is embossed with an old Tim Holtz emboss folder on black card stock. I then used metallic rub on and my finger to add the copper to the raised portion of the compass.

FS792 - This week's very talented Featured Stamper is Gayle (aka fostergaylej). I found this cute INSPIRATION

I decided to go through my scrap Christmas paper and found this cute Santa image in the stack of scraps.

I cut down the layers, die cut the holly and layered. Super fast card using my scrap Christmas papers.

Happy Easter Everybunny

IC853 - James Street Home Decor

Easter is fast approaching, and a fun bunny card is perfect to send to anyone. For my card today I first stamped EASTER EARS LEONARD PIG - 858G then masked the image. Next, I stamped VINCENT VAN BUNNY - 396L and CUTE BUNNY WITH EGG - 702D.

Once the scene was stamped, I used the HAPPY EASTER EVERYBUNNY - 048D sentiment. To get the sentiment all in a line, I stamped the Happy Easter portion first then used a piece of acetate and lined up the Everybunny where it needed to be on the card front. Once I had it lined up correctly, I removed the acetate and stamped just the "Everybunny!" portion of the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Happy Easter Everybunny!

7th Anniversary

F4A633 - Games

I messaged Shirley and she is working on uploading the challenge today. She said the theme is Games.

My niece asked for an anniversary card for her hubby with playing cards and 7 for their 7th anniversary. This chalelnge is perfect to use some playing cards.

I cut the red and die cut the sentiment and hearts. The red and purple were the colors of their wedding so it is perfect for an anniversary card.

I then tucked the 4 and 3 playing cards under the red and glued the hearts and sentiment. I kept it very CAS since this is fur her hubby.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Scrappy Welcome

SC900 - This week's Sketch

For my card base I decided to go through my card stock and use bits of leftover colors. I cut them down to 1-inch squares and glued them to a white card base.

Next, I ran that through with a star emboss folder then glued to my card front.

I finished the card off with the die cut dog, food bowl and sentiment and added a few sequins for some shine.

Dog die cut from Gina Marie dies. Dog dish from Xpress dies and Welcome die from Karen Burniston.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Thinking of You

MMTPT715 - Dotty or Stripy

A couple of weeks ago I created THIS CARD and after cutting all the strips from the card I ended up with some leftover pieces that I just did not want to toss.

I grabbed those leftovers and created the background for this card and love that I was able to create a second card from my first scrappy card. I added the sentiment and finished off with a couple of die cut flowers and some Nuvo Drops.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.
