A+ Teacher

For the IC590 challenge - inspired by Audrie's first "Inspiration" Board on Pinterest. Wowza lots of amazing things to choose from for inspiration. I found these Cookies. I need to get cards started for teachers as my little guy will pass them out at the end of the year and my sister will need them for her school.

This die cut set is from Frantic Stamper. The first card I due cut out the white and layered it over the red using the negative space. Die cut the stem and leaf and sponged the edges then layered the A+ Teacher over the apple.

Then used the white die cut apple I sponged the edge in red and added the red highlight. Added sponged leaf and stem and layered A+ Teacher. I also added some punched music noted that sit on my desk. My son is in the band and loves playing so we have to do a card for that teacher as that is his favorite teacher.

I would love it if you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.

Off to check out the Indianapolis Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts Festival. If you are there today, I will be there. You will see me with a shoe bag. So if you see me, say, Say Hello. :)

Thanksgiving Wishes

The F4A370 challenge ...A CASE of My Favorites - I love this stunning CARD.

The MIX217 challenge - Words of Wisdom - I hope sentiments count as words.

This image was printed 2 years ago. I have started coloring all the images that I have printed and stamped that have started piling up in my craft cave. I figure it was about time I started using them. :)

I loved the colors and layout on the card and used similar colors and layout. Colored the image with colored pencils then cut the image with a die cut. Leaving the image in the die cut I sponged the yellow BG with distress inks. I also added distress inks to the sentiment.

Layered the card and added a bold green ribbon that my mom gave me from her crafty stash to use up. Finished the card with some punched flowers and twigs and added liquid pearls to the flowers. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals.

Easter Girl

The challenge for FS528 - is the amazing DJ Rants. I found this stunning Card.

I turned the layout and made it girly with the bold blue layer, Added a ribbon rather than twine and used sequins rather than brads. I finished the card off with this fun Green Duck embellishment rather than a stamped image and popped the layers up on dimensionals.

Easter Chick?

The fun challenge for F4A369 - Think Spring

Nothing says Spring more to me than Easter. I love these darling Green Duck Embellishments. They make cards super quick to put together when I need a fast card. I used the super cute Chick and popped him on dimensionals. Cut an egg shape out of white CS and popped that on dimensionals over the blue DP. The blue DP is a shimmer paper that I have had for 20 years. I figure it was about time I started using some of it. LOL!

Rainbow Birthday

This weeks challenge WT627 - Handwriting - Yes Your Own!!

Does anyone remember writing in lemon juice as a kid then using a lighter to heat it up to see a secret code? Well I do and I decided to do a similar secret code on my card with my technique. It was challenging to not touch the paper while writing to avoid smearing the writing but it was so much fun.

The BG on my card is a handwritten birthday poem that I wrote in Versamark then used white embossing powder and embossed. Using 4 different distress inks I colored the rainbow effect on the BG. Cut down the panels and layered finishing off with the home made candy dots.
