SC1112 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com
For my card, I decided to make a fun fold that plays off the Double Gate Fold. I began with two cream panels measuring 8.5 by 5.25 inches and adhered them together so they overlapped in the center at 4.25 by 5.5 inches. I folded each side at 4.25 inches and again at 2.125 inches to form the layered gates.
I trimmed the front panels on an angle, cutting from the 4.25‑inch fold down to 1.5 inches on both sides, then added a lacy edge with a border punch to soften the shape. Once the base was complete, I added festive designer papers to the main panel and both front folds. Inside, I added a cream panel and used the angled pieces I had cut from the front to create coordinating corner accents.
The card front is finished with a belly band cut to 1 inch by 11 inches, wrapped around the card, and folded over itself just snug enough to stay in place. I covered the band with coordinating festive paper and added a few snowflakes to complete the look.
