Birthday Pug

WT1103 - Pets

I can never have enough pet challenges for cards, as they give me the opportunity to create dog cards for my pet donation box.

For my card, I pulled out this adorable Simon Says Stamp pug die cut and cut it from two different browns so I could swap the pieces and create a second card at the same time. I paired the pup with more of the brown floss from the back of my chair that I am working to use up, stitching the white layer to add texture and a handmade touch.

The finished panel is layered on a piece of kraft designer cardstock from my stash that I am trying to use up this year, then mounted on a white card base. The pug and the birthday sentiment are both popped up on dimensionals to give the layout a clean lift.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card today. Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated. If you leave a note, a visit to your blog will follow.

  8. What an adorable puppy! I am absolutely smitten with this fantastic die, and I love how you’ve showcased it. The stitching all around looks beautiful and harmonizes wonderfully with the patterned paper you used. The monochrome color scheme is simply delightful, too.
