Christmas Penguin

WT902 - Let's go Polar. The Antarctic Treaty was enacted in 1961 reserving the entire continent for free and nonpolitical scientific investigation.

For the card I used the Tim Holtz layered penguin die cut cutting the pieces out of several different scrap papers and layered.

Once he was assembled, I added him to a Merry Christmas designer paper.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Dog Congratulations

SC911 - This week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

I needed to make a few congratulations cards for my monthly donation.

For this card I cut down the base layer, punched the white squares and cut the red framing squares.

Next, I die cut the dog, bowl and sentiment. The heart dog collar is just a scrap that I added the heart and a gold punch to match the gold sentiment,

2 Cards 1 Background Technique

MMTPT726 - 1 Background technique for two cards - I used the Double Stencil Resist HERE.

USEIT2022 - both images

I love getting 2 cards for 1 background technique. This is the double stencil resist technique for 2 little ones that need a bit of cheer.

Once the backgrounds were created I found in my stash these 2 images that were already colored waiting for cards and perfect for a little boy and little girl. One image is from Polkadoodles and the other is a Tilda image.

CAS695 - Use colored card stock for your base

When I think of clean and simple cards I am naturally drawn to white but honestly a card can be CAS with any colored card base as long as there is blank space on the card.

For today's card I used black. I stamped the dog image then colored with copics. I then stamped the soccer ball and die cut it and popped the ball up on a dimensional. I thought it would be fun to add a wobble to the dog for some fun and I sponged the grass and sky on the image scene.

I finished the card with the sentiment heat embossed in white.

Happy Fathers Day

FS802 - today's incredibly talented featured stamper is Maggie, better known around here as mschoener. Her gallery is full of amazing inspiration. I found this INSPIRATION

I love playing in my scrap drawers and Maggie's card was perfect to inspire this Father's Day card using My Favorite Things alphabet die cut set.

I die cut the letters and glued to the black card stock.

Christmas Wreath

JUN22VSNP - Wianki Festival (wreaths)

USEIT2022 - Image

I have never heard of Wianki Festival (wreaths) but I do have this wreath from my stack of images needing colored and added to cards.

I colored it with copics, cut the layers then added the bow and sprinkled on a few gems.

Many Birthday Cards

JUN22VSNF - Aloha Fest (Think sand, flip flops, tropical flowers, bright summer colors, fruity drinks, pineapples, surf boards, waves, swim suits, etc.)

For this card I used a Kadoodle SVG file to cut out the cute bear. Sponging was done on the edges and cheeks then the pieces were glued together.

The sand was easily done by tearing some tan paper then sponging the edge.

The card was finished with the Trinity Stamps birthday sentiment and all layered on a blue shimmer designer paper.

Beach Birthday

JUN22VSNG - ship/boats

WT901 - Brads

MSP58 - Sentiment Focal

This was a very quick card. I used all the stamps in a stamp set putting them in my Misti then stamping on white card stock. I then added some greys to the stamped images and glued to the black card base. Finished with a few scattered brads and the birthday sentiment.

Masculine Birthday

JUN22VSNH - Fruits and Veggies

USEIT2022 - Image

I needed to use up this image from my stack of images already stamped out. I had it already colored waiting for a card and this challenge was perfect.

I die cut the tag and added some fancy fiber then used some designer papers that coordinated with the colors in the image and added a birthday banner.

Summer Birthday
JUN22VSNM - 4th of July

USEIT2022 - Image

WT901 - Brads

You ask why this is in the birthday post...well I have a friend that her birthday is on the 4th of July so I think this is perfect for her birthday card.

The image was also in my stack of images needing colored and this one was also already colored waiting for a card.

I cut the layers, added the image, die cut the celebrate a few times and stacked it then finished the front of the card with more scattered brads.

4th of July Birthday

JUN22VSNN - motorcycles

For this card I used a sun stencil to create the sunshine. Next I added some grey to the base of the sun then die cut the clouds, motorcycle and bird. I added some sponging to the motorcycle and some grey to the bird wings to make him look like a seagull.

Motorcycle Birthday

JUN22VSNO - Circle Spinner card: Circle Spinner Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.com

For this card I used the cute new pup image from DRS Designs and the new Birthday Wishes sentiment. Once the dog was stamped I cut the 2 circles then I added the spinner element and this fun soccer ball image.
