Birthday Bird

WT884 - Use a bird (February 18 starts the Great Backyard Bird Count)

USEIT2022 - Bird Ephemera

While going through my tote of items I found a bag full of ephemera and this bird was in it.

For my card I sponged purple and green in a square and added the bird finishing off with the sentiment. I layered the card on black and a coordinating green to the sponged green.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and say hello.

Birthday Candles

 SC893 - Today's Sketch

When I saw the sketch the first think I thought of was candles.

For my card I die cut the candles and layered them on pink. I then die cut the center of the DP and layered them over the candles.

The card was finished with the birthday sentiment and gems added to the candles.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate you taking the time to say hello.

Thinking of You

MMTPT708 - Let's make some pretty, girly cards

I am still playing in my scrap papers. I love looking at all of them and looking for ways to continue to use them up to clear some room in the drawers.

For today's card I used pinks and greens to create the background. I then die cut the flowers and stamped the sentiment popping the sentiment up on diemensionals and finishing the flowers off with pearls.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card. I really appreciate you taking the time.

Happy Valentine's Day

CAS677 - Ribbon

I have wanted to try ribbon Iris Folding for a long time. I decided to use ribbon rather than paper for my card.

I die cut the heart, added tape runner and used a red satin ribbon for the heart. I finished the card off with the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and card love.

XOXO

FS784 - This week's Featured Stamper is the very talented diane morales.  I found this super sweet CARD Perfect colors for a Valentine card and I love the stripes on the background layer with the image over it.

USEIT2022 - XOXO paper

This XOXO paper was a freebee from Honey Bee stamps with one of my purchases. I needed to get it used up as it is smaller and does not fit in my paper cubbies. When I saw Diane's card I immediately thought of this paper with the lines of text.

I cut the layers, die cut the XOXO and then white heat embossed the sentiment on black placing the sentiment in the bottom corner as she has on her card. Rather than sequins I used some pink gems.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate you taking the time to say hello.

Negative and Positive Hearts

IC845 - Window Display Pinterest Boards, this is my INSPIRATION

I loved the negative space on the heart in the window. I used scraps of papers to create my card base then die cut out the heart from the base. I then embossed another heart and added it to the open space and stamped the sentiment popping it up on dimensionals.

Since I did not want to waste the die cut heart I used it on a second card and embossed a script layer and layered it on pink then stamped that sentiment popping it up on dimensionals as well.

Scrappy Valentine

F4A625 - Hearts and/OR Flowers

I am still playing in my scrap papers trying to clear some smaller bits out of the drawers. This is all scraps other than the white layer and the card base.

I cut the layers, popped a few on dimensionals, die cut the sentiment layers and a couple of hearts. The white base layer is embossed with a small heart emboss folder. I finished the card with a few gems.
