Typed Birthday

FS1009 - this week's incredibly talented featured stamper is Cheryl aka Crafty Auntie. I found this INSPIRATION.

For my card, I started with the adorable retro typewriter that immediately caught my eye and inspired the entire design. There is something so charming about that vintage shape, so I pulled out my Spellbinders die and decided to give it a bright, cheerful twist using scraps from my stash.

I cut all the pieces from bold oranges and sunny yellows, letting the warm colors bring the typewriter to life. Once it was assembled, I set it against a playful polka dot designer paper that I am working to use up this year. The pattern adds such a fun backdrop, and framing the panel in the same yellow used on the typewriter helps everything feel coordinated. An orange card base ties the whole palette together and gives the design a strong, vibrant foundation.

To finish the card, I added a few shaped flowers and leaves from my punched pieces for a touch of dimension and softness. I placed black Nuvo Drops in the flower centers to echo the black accents in the polka dots, pulling the details together in a simple but intentional way.
