Night Out on the Town

I really love how this die cut works. It can be used for a great guy card and many different papers and colors can be used for some much fun on a card. Additionally the small pieces can all be dune with scraps! My favorite way to accessorize a card is using scraps. Adding the flower was such a fun last minute detail on this card.

Stitching on a card is another great way to bring up your card creating skills and add a fun element to the card. This darling Penny Black image is super cute with her blowing kisses.  The added hearts on the top of the card...YEP another great way to use up some card trimmings.

Snowman

This snowman from Sweet N Sassy is such a happy snowman. I am working on getting caught up on Christmas cards. I like to create them year round so that I am ready to mail come the holiday season. That way when December gets here I usually only have a few to create. Well I am way behind already this year with my recent move so having the 42 challenges for Dare to Get Dirty on SCS (Splitcoast Stampers) was a great way to sneak in a few fun Christmas cards.

If the Shoe Fits

I just love shoes and if this were a real shoe it just might be in my collection. Going through my grandma's stash of craft supplies I came across this orange ribbon (100 yards of it). When creating this card putting orange, purple and green together was perfect for a Halloween themed card and that ribbon was perfect because it has a netting similar to the fun shoe.

Yellow Roses

I tend to use this image a lot. It is a much older retired image from Stampin' Up and is still one of my All Time favorite images. The flower can be colored in many different colors and most recently I have started coloring it in yellow. I just love it in yellow.

Thankful Picnic

As crafters we tend to purchase tons of items for later use and "hoard" them. Yes I am one of those. The picnic sticker on this was purchased more than a year ago and is the first sticker out of the bunch that I used. The red strip of paper is a small piece of designer paper (DP) that was used on a project some time ago. I like trying to find ways to use up scraps and try to go to my scrap basket first to create projects.  Another great way to use up scraps is to punch down smaller pieces and that darling butterfly is a punch that my niece has and I have a ton of paper and she punched a few of these darling butterflies for me. Adding a couple of tiny gems to the butterfly adds just the right touch of glam.

Brushos are a new product for me to use and the first couple of times I used them I was not feeling the use of them. Reading one of the challenges for the Dare to get Dirty I had initially thought I would use a Brusho background. Well after reading the challenge details I found that the background I created would not fit the challenge so this was created and I loved it and could not use it. So I set it aside and hoped for another fun challenge to use it and along came a great challenge. As soon as I read the challenge details I knew I would use this back ground. This was the first Brusho background I created and loved the outcome. It was  created just sprinkling super small amounts of Brushos and then spritzing with water. When I say small I mean the really small amounts of Brushos it seems it might not be enough but when you add the water with a spray bottle it really expands the color.
