Week of 11/14/20 Cards

FS718 - This weeks incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Jane (janemom) She has an incredible gallery full of inspiration. I found this Gorgeous Card

Recently I have been going through my stack of stamped images trying to get them colored and on cards. I pulled out all the Christmas images and started with those first so I can use them for my cards this year. My goal for 2021 will be to get those images colored and work toward getting them used up.

I grabbed this image out of the pile of colored images when I saw Jane's Card. I changed the layout and did not add the additional framing. I popped my image up on dimensionals and added gold sequins like she had on her card.

Christmas Baubles

2020BLITZ3 - 4-in-1 Collage Background

USEIT2020 - Paperclip

I created this 4 in 1 collage background using a few different images from different companies and some fun bright colors. I needed to make some welcome cards for my friend's little pet shop and thought some fun pet stamps would be great for the technique.

I also used a paw print stencil for some added happy yellow and matted the fun background on yellow.

I finished with this dog paper clip that is in my tote of items to use up.

Doggone Sweet
2020BLITZ4 - Gingerbread Garland

I printed out the template and used a white gel pen to draw in my gingerbread houses. So much fun to just sit and draw.

CAS611 - Road Trip

USEIT2020 - Patch

I am still working my way through a tote full of items I am trying to use up and when I saw this cat I thought it would be perfect paired with a piece of map paper.

I cut some map paper and added a blue strip to match the blue stripe in the cat's shirt. I stamped the sentiment and used hot glue to add the cat.

MMTPT642 - open your door or windows and look outside, what do you see

Here it is fall, leaves are changing colors and falling off trees.

I cut the craft layer and embossed then added some browns to add dimension.

Next I used some scrap papers and punched some leaves. I found the acorn in my tote of items and thought it was perfect for this card.

I finished with the sentiment under the embossed panel.

Falling Leaves
FF20annsforte3 - Ink blending on black cardstock with metallic heat embossing for Christmas

This was super fun to create doing ink blending on black cardstock.

I heat embossed the tree in silver then added some distress oxides for my ink blending.

I finished with the stamped sentiment and layered.

USEIT2020 - Candle

I masked the panel and added several shades of blue. I had these already die cut candles in my tote to use up and I layered them to add dimension.

I finished with the sentiment and gems.

2020BLITZ5 - Diamond Shaped Ornament

I started off by sponging white ink on blue card stock using a TH poinsettia.

Then I created the Diamond Ornament and used a plastic Holly Leaf in my tote to decorate the top.

Diamond Ornament
FF20hbrown - Let it Snow! show me your colorful snowy creations -BUT snow/snowflakes can NOT be white

I created a mask for my card base and sponged blue in the center.

Next I heat embossed silver snowflakes and finished with the sentiment and sequins.

Holiday Snow

FF20Luvlee - Holiday Candles - candle(s) + a holiday

I stamped the red BG with the BG snowflake from DRS Designs then heat embossed in white.

Next I stamped this cute candle image and colored with copics and layered on dimensionals. I finished with the ribbon and a punched gold snowflake under the popped up sentiment.

Merry Christmas
WT818 - How Tweet it is (Use a bird)

USEIT2020 - Heartfelt Creations card kit

I am trying to use up my old Heartfelt Creations card kits and this one was perfect for the Ways to Use It challenge. They came stamped and cut I just needed to add color, shape and layer.

I colored the images with copics. Then I layered the images and added stickles to add some fun interest to the scene.

Thinking of You
FF20miamikel4 - Twine Inlay

I die cut this pup and used double sided tape for the bakers twine. Mounted on pink and heat embossed the sentiment.

Congrats Pup
FF20smadson - Inlaid die cut: ex: multi color/ two tone, etc.

Early in Fallidays I had die cut this same deer from this DP and from the plaid and thought perfect reverse the card for this challenge.

Heat embossed the sentiment and done.

Merry Christmas
IC780 - Cute Tape where I found this Great Washi Tape

Believe it or not I don't own a ton of washi tape. I do have tons of paper scraps and I am happy to use them where I might need a bit of washi tape. That being said I did find some on the site today that I might just need to get. LOL!

I needed to get a few welcome cards made for the little pet shop that I donate my cards. I used all of the dog images from the stampendous set and colored them all with copics. I then cut the panels down on an angle with the die cut and added to the card bases.

I pulled out a stack of paper strips from my collection and added them to the top corner.

I finished with the heat embossed sentiment and some candy dots.

  1. 14 cards for the 14th of November. That's at least 2 cards each day. Wow, so I can do simple math! Who knew? Beautiful creations this week. You never disappoint, Lisa. I love your gingerbread garland. I am amazed that you drew these houses. They are beautiful! Of course, your coloring is gorgeous. I am in awe of your ability to color such tiny areas and still show shading in the smallest of spaces: Christmas Baubles, Merry Christmas, and Thinking of You. Love the texture of the wooden panel in Falling Leaves and the acorn is a perfect match. Thank you again, Lisa, for sharing such beautiful work. You are an inspiration.

    1. I do love to color. The secret to getting shading in small areas is my magnifying lamp. I am not sure I could do it without that lamp and being able to see such small areas. :) Thank you for stopping by and leaving card love Sally.
