Week of 12/24/17 Cards

FS568 - Heidi, better known as howdyheidi. I found this super cute CARD.

CCC18JAN - Silhouette

I have officially started my 2018 cards. I am going to need over 100 next year with that in mind I know I will fall behind because I will have a few months where I will forget to make Christmas cards. So I am starting now.

I liked the way Heidi had the Happy over the wreath so I put a die cut wreath that was sitting on my desk down on top of a sponged BG and added the word JOY that also has been sitting on my desk for a long time. Finished off with the gem.

Joy

SC677 - this weeks sketch

Sponged on distress oxides in the colors of the rainbow. Die cut the paw prints and stamped the sentiment. Die cut the poodle and popped it up on dimensionals.

This card was very emotional grabbing to me when I created it. I love how this turned out and plan on making more. I am not sure why this one really got to me but it turned out better than I had initially imagined.

Lost Pet

WT668 - Tick Tock

MMTPT492 - A Wren & Two Turtle Doves

Used DPs and sponged the TH clock on the DPs. Cut down the pink plaid and popped on dimensionals. Added a lace trim and some HFC leaves and some punched flowers. Finished off with some pearls and the bird that were sitting on my desk.

The DPs, flowers and bird are all items that were sitting on my desk. I am making it my goal for 2018 to use stuff up and this card sure meets that goal. That bird has been on my desk for a year. Glad to have it on a card.

Girl Time

F4A410 - Favorite Stamp

MIX257 - Favorite Technique

I love this sentiment stamp set from Artzy. I have used it on a ton of cards this year for pet sympathy as I make a bunch of pet sympathy cards and donate them. This has been my go to set and with it I have made and donated over 200 cards this year. I anticipate doing more next year and this set is perfect for those cards.

My favorite technique right now is to add distress oxide inks in a stencil. I love the new distress oxides they spread so smoothly and can be added to white or colored card stock. Here I used the red (more like pink) to this grey and it really stands out beautifully.

Faithful Companion

IC630 - World Market where I found this super cute Card.

CCC18FEB - Santa and his reindeer (sorry no Santa on this one but I have the reindeer.)

I grabbed this DP for my base with the red deer then layered the white layer with the fancy edge. Finished the card off with the last of the Christmas Green Duck images from last year to finish using them up.

My 2018 goal is to use stuff up. This card used up the last of the Christmas embellishments from Green Duck. I am taking one bag, one set of stickers, one set of die cuts that I have sitting on piles on my desk and pulling them over to use and get rid of. This is my own goal for 2018 so I can make room for the stuff I love and want to use.

Christmas Wrapping

FS569 the super talented Nan Cee's. I found this Beauty.

Cut down some DSP for the top rather than the white and used a fancy trim for the edge. Stamped the flower and added some punches leaves. Finished off with a punched stamen and pearl.

Using stuff up for 2018 is my goal. The leaves and flower were sitting on my desk waiting to be used along with the white border. I hope to have the piles of stuff that has been sitting waiting for cards cleaned up by the end of year so that I can finally get to crafting with some fun new goodies.

Hello Flower
