Scrappy Burlap

WT1047 - Burlap

For my card, I found I had a bunch of scrap pieces of burlap in my brown designer paper. It was really adding a lot of bulk to the scrap drawer. I wondered if I could recreate this card with a scrappy background and YES, it turned out perfect.

I added several gems to really pop against the card front and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals. Now I have a way to use up more of my scrap burlap and create a really fun card front.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Challenges:

As You Like It - Favorite (Cute or Floral) I love florals. I do make cute cards sometimes but I really love floral cards. So many possibilities for florals. Cute is hard to give to everyone but florals can be for everyone.

Blue Rose Birthday

MMTPT871 - Rosy Birthday

For my card, I pulled out this gorgeous blue rose paper that I only have scraps left. I am using every piece of this paper because I really love it. I cut down the pieces and created a herringbone background on a blue card stock. It is then layered on a white cardstock, and I added the blue and white bakers' twine.

The card is finished with this great sentiment from Stampin Up and a few scattered gems.

Welcome Pup

FS947 - In Memory of Polly - INSPIRATION

I am forever thankful to have been friends with Polly. I think of her often and remember when she stamped off the image on this card and a few other dog images for my pet donation cards.

For my card, I still do not own the image (it is on my wish list) I used this cute fun die cut from Brutus Monroe. I die cut it in the colors of the shop that I will be donating it and layered it up.

The card is finished with a welcome sentiment and a few scattered hearts.

Guitar Birthday

WT1046 - Musical Instruments

For my card, I used this great die cut from Cherry Lynn Designs. I cut the layers and for the neck of the guitar I used birch bark. Once layered, I used a pin and added pin holes to string silver thread to add the strings. (This was very challenging but turned out amazing.)

I then layered it on a velum music paper, added a few music notes and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.
