Falling Leaves

SC635 - This weeks sketch

My aunt asked me for 12 cards for her to give to her DH next year. She wanted this image on a card. Today's sketch was super fun to add a few falling leaves, oh this reaction on this AI stamp. This is the card she wanted for September when the leaves will just be starting to turn for fall.

Colored the image with copics, cut out papers for the sketch and added the falling leaves. The leaf by the AI image is popped on dimensionals.

Lucky Me

FS526 - This week's Featured Stamper is
Rebeccaof aka Lyn Tomlin. I found this fantastic Card. It is a great way to use up some of our scraps that we all have from cutting down card bases.

I am making my aunt 12 cards fro her to give to her DH next year and she asked for a St Patricks card and Lyn's gallery was a great place to find the perfect inspiration.

I added a green layer behind the rainbow colors, used a heart EF rather than a dot folder, used a different stamp and added sequins rather than the clover.

Copics used: C3, C5, C7, E00, E02, E57, Y02, G14 & G16

Warrior Birthday

The IC587 challenge on SCS  - is the incredible Pintrist board Moleskine. I found this stunning DRAWING.

Some time ago my DH purchased a beer called Hunter. It comes in a can and the label is a very large sticker. He pulled the sticker off and said hey you can make me a card with this. Well here is his card.

The Pintrist image reminded me of this skull image on his label.

I glued the label on to a card stock then cut it down to remove the can details. Next I added some black paper to line the can and mounted on white CS.

The suit of armor image is from ODBD. I stamped the image, colored with copics and mounted on dimensionals. Finished off the image with some stickles and added the sentiment.

I sure hope DH likes his card with his beer can label. :)

Stripped Birthday

The F4A367 challenge on SCS - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

I was inspired by the super fun stripped coat worn by Dick Vandyke. I love this fun movie and now I am going to be singing this song all day. Thanks Robin for a fun challenge.

I used the Frantic Stamper Woven Ribbons die cut and cut out all the colors. Then very carefully paper pieced each piece back in to get rainbow colors on the cards. My wonderful MIL asked me for a few birthday cards and she is a quilter so hopefully these will look enough like quilt cards for her quilting friends.

I gave these cards a 3 because gluing these little pieces back in is a lot of work and some are really tiny and got lost in the process. :)

This weeks WT625 challenge - stripes on our projects in honor of Dr Seuss

This image was perfect for a card for my little niece. I just love all the hugs and kisses she gives and I am sending them back to her for her 3rd birthday on this card.

I stamped the darling Penny Black image and colored her with copics. Mounted her on red and added some fun layers of DPs.

The candy dots were created with perlar beads that I melted in my oven.

Copics used: E000, E11, E35, C0, C2, G14, YR31, Y17, Y26,  B23, R20, R24, R32 & R37

Alice In Wonderland

This weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT449 - The Queen of Hearts...This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other! A little payback and reward to the teapotters for always sending their cards to the recipient of the Destination Station.

This image is from Miss Susie (Susie Australia) that I received in a previous Teapot Tuesday card. I don't have any playing card stamps or Alice in Wonderland stamps but this darling girl looks like Alice. Thank you Miss Susie.

Colored the darling girl with copics and mounted her on a red and white DP. Punched some hearts and finished her off with a bow.
Copics used: C1, C2, E000, E11, B00, B01, R20, R22, R24, Y11, Y15 & Y26
