Scrappy Birthday Flower

WT1079 - Old and Dusty

For my card, I reached into a bin filled with premade flowers, brads, gems, and other fun embellishments, many of which I purchased years ago when Archivers was still around. These were some of my very first cardmaking supplies, and it was a joy to revisit them.

I layered several designer papers with white matting to build the layout, then finished it off with a flower embellishment secured by a green brad at the center.

To complete the card, I added a birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals for a touch of depth.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

  1. Love your choice of colours here Lisa and how nicely the different patterns work together, prettily finished off with the orange flower to carry the colour.

  5. There's always something very satisfying about using up some older stash, I have loads of perfectly good flowers, ribbons, brads etc that I used to use all the time and now hardly ever. The orange flower finishes off this pretty layered design beautifully.

  7. Beautiful combo of papers, lovely design too, like how the flower makes up the 3rd circle. I remember Archiver's, we had one in our town too, so sad when they closed.
