MMTPT873 - Love Sharon to Pieces (card kit)
Our Teapot Tuesday challenge this week is a little different. One of our fellow crafters has recently undergone surgery and isn’t able to craft as much as she would like. To support her, we’re sending card kits that she can simply glue together whenever she feels up to it.
For my contribution, I die-cut some butterflies and stitched them using thread from the back of my craft chair (I’m trying to use it up!). Once assembled, I glued them together.
I also wanted to test my new foil machine in preparation for my son’s graduation card. Knowing that Sharon will understand receiving a few experimental pieces, I cut the test pieces down, glued them onto my card, and included them in her kit.
To inspire her, I’m sending along a sample card as well. However, she’s free to use the pieces as they are or combine them with contributions from other crafters—whatever works best for her when she’s ready to create again.
Thank you for stopping by to see my card today. I truly appreciate your kind comments. If you leave me a note, I’d love to visit your blog in return!
What a lovely and kind idea for your crafty friend, I am sure the kits will help motivate her back to crafting and be easier than starting from scratch. Your stitched Butterfly card for her is another real beauty.

This idea of a kit card is something a few friends and I did many years ago on a site called Do-crafts, we made the card in a separate envelope then put everything we had used in and we all made our own take on it then and only then could we open the ready made card from the sender, it was great fun, this is so like that idea and I hope your friend enjoys herself. Its a gorgeous card Lisa, love the stitching. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thoughtful idea-love the beautiful stitched butterfly and sunny paper.

Have to echo Janette and Brenda, this is such a lovely idea, so kind and thoughtful to support your friend in this way. I'm sure the thoughtfulness alone will make her feel better and can imagine her pleasure in opening the kits and discovering the treasures inside.
ReplyDeleteYour card design is beautiful, love the stitched butterfly and cheerful colours.
