I loved the flowy skirt on that image but don't own the image. So I used these flowy banners instead. Also the bold Red White and Blue was perfect for this image.
I stamped the images in blue then colored the banners with copics.
I used a stars stamp to create the BG on blue CS.
I popped the image on dimensionals to finish the card.

This great image was sent to me on watercolor paper and I thought she would look great in blue. Water colored her and cut the layers. Added embossing to the right side and finished with some flowers from my table and Nuvo Drops.

Used this great napkin from my stash with the napkin technique. Stamped the Penny Black image and colored with copics. Cut the other layers and added the doily. Finished with some flowers and Nuvo Drops.

Seeing the GYM letters on the back wall made me think of all the sticker letters I have from when I use to scrapbook. I have been trying to come up with a way to use them on my cards and I thought that the GYM letters on the back wall were perfect to inspire using a bunch of letters on the card base. I covered the card bases with a bunch of the letters then used various die cuts and other stickers for some fun graduation cards.

ReplyDeleteNow, on to your gorgeous creations! My favorite is your Daisy Sympathy. The center of that sunflower drew me in like a hummingbird looking for sweet nectar. I stared at it for quite some time before reading on. LOL! It sound like I exaggerate, but I really don't. That bleach really added the detail to that flower center. I have played with bleach before, but I am too impatient. I want to see results immediately, and sometimes it takes a while for the bleach to react. At least that has been my experience. I like the watercolor bleed of the brown onto the sunflower leaves. It looks so natural.
My second favorite is your Teapot card. The napkin you used is so beautiful and colorful. I have only tried one card with a napkin. I'm going to have to go and look up that technique again. I love how you added the doily under your beautifully colored image. It gives it that table setting look. It brings back memories of my mom making doilies.
All of your cards this week are beautiful, but I felt compelled to comment on those two. I am no expert, and I tend to get wordy, but I do hope you don't mind. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.
Thank you so much Aracelli. That bleached sunflower was super simple the brown cardstock worked perfect and I had a brand new bottle of bleach. I have learned the newer the bleach the quicker it works.
ReplyDeleteI love the napkin technique. I can find super cute napkins and they take so very little to dress up a card. Sometimes the napkin is all a cards needs and a sentiment and viola fast cute card. :)
