Scrappy Birthday Flower

WT1079 - Old and Dusty

For my card, I reached into a bin filled with premade flowers, brads, gems, and other fun embellishments, many of which I purchased years ago when Archivers was still around. These were some of my very first cardmaking supplies, and it was a joy to revisit them.

I layered several designer papers with white matting to build the layout, then finished it off with a flower embellishment secured by a green brad at the center.

To complete the card, I added a birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals for a touch of depth.

Magical Castle Story

SC1088 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I combined two different Spellbinders die cuts to create a layered book scene, then added a die cut dragon from Karen Burniston to bring the story to life.

The scene is set atop designer paper that resembles marble tile, because, of course, castles are full of marble!

To finish it off, I added a birthday sentiment to complete the magical look.

Moonlit Glow

CAS872 - Glow of the Autumn Moon

For my card, I sponged a yellow moon glow using Distress Oxide ink, then blended blue around it to create a soft night sky effect. Once the background was complete, I stamped a Stampin' Up image over the panel.

The panel was trimmed down, layered onto black cardstock, and popped up on dimensionals for added depth.

To finish, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder for a touch of shine.

Congratulations Boat

FS979 - This week's Featured Stamper is ValerieKaye - INSPIRATION

For this card, I was inspired by the super cute boat and reached for the Prima Marketing boat stamp. I stamped the image and colored it with Copics, then added a Congratulations sentiment beneath it.

To build the layout, I trimmed coordinating designer papers that echoed the colors used on the boat and popped the boat image up on dimensionals for added depth.

Elf Crossing

IC1040 - The Permanent Garden - INSPIRATION

USEIT2025 - ephemera

I was inspired by the elf on the shelf. I had been holding onto this ephemera in my tote for quite some time, and when I saw the elf, it sparked the perfect opportunity to finally use it.

I pulled out my Christmas papers, built the layout, and layered in the ephemera to bring the design together.

To finish the card, I popped up the sentiment with dimensionals and added a scattering of sequins for a festive touch.

Thank You Pie

F4A820 - Food/Recipes/Cooking

USEIT2025 - Star Button (From my tote)

For this card, I used the delightful Papertrey Ink pie die set to cut out the pie pieces. I added sponging, white highlights, and a touch of Stickles to give the pie depth and dimension.

To build the background, I layered a few coordinating designer papers and tucked a rickrack trim between the top and bottom panels for added texture. The pie was then popped up on dimensionals to bring it forward.

I finished the card with a thank you banner and a star button from my stash to complete the look.

Party Hat

WT1078 - Show Off Your Hats

For this card, I used a fun birthday hat die cut from Honey Bee Stamps and assembled all the layers. Once the hat was complete, I placed it on a birthday-embossed panel and added a few extra layers for more interest.

To finish the design, I decorated the party hat with gems, scattered a few candy dots around the card, and popped up the birthday sentiment on dimensionals for added dimension.
