Congrats to the Bride and Groom

CAS845 - Cinco de Mayo (or any kind of celebration)

For my celebration card, I created a wedding card. The card base is black then layered with pink. I die cut the glasses using My Favorite Things and layered with silver glitter paper. The card was finished with die cut hearts and sentiment also from the silver glitter paper.

You Are One of a Kind

IC1013 - Art.com - INSPIRATION

The inspiration was perfect for me to use this great Spellbinders set to create my son's graduation card.

The base is stamped using The Ton's Congratulations stamp. I then cut down some small white card stock and die cut the playing card pieces.

Next, I die cut the person from the Spellbinders set and then used the Sizzix ghost die cut the cut wispy hair.

The congratulations was cut 2 times in white then once in gold and layered and the sentiment is foiled.

The card front is finished with a couple of other die cut playing card shapes and the layered heart.

For the inside, I used the Karen Burniston House of Cards and created the built-up playing cards.

Special Thanks

F4A793 - Dogs and Stripes

For my card, I used a couple of Hunkydory papers to create the layout and layered on some designer paper with stripes.

The card was finished with the sentiment and a few gems.

This will be another card for my pet donation.

Adventure Begin

WT1051 - Boots

When Impression Obsession announced they were closing, I couldn’t resist snagging this boot die cut—it’s just too fantastic!

I crafted the layers using tan and brown cardstock and added gold and white baker's twine for the laces, giving it a perfect finishing touch. Next, I popped up the sentiment and the boot on dimensionals to add depth and layered them onto a tree-patterned designer paper for a cohesive look.

Happy Anniversary

SC1060 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I needed to create an anniversary card for my dear hubby. While sorting through my scrap papers, I came across two green hearts leftover from my wedding cards—such a perfect find for an anniversary card!

I crafted the gold hearts by layering tissue paper onto white cardstock before cutting them out. These were then placed on the green base. To enhance the green hearts, I added black and white highlights and stamped the sentiment in green, popping it up with dimensionals.

The bridal dress and tuxedo were created using Spellbinders die cuts and layered together. Interestingly, this dress die cut bears a striking resemblance to my own wedding dress, minus the band at the front.

Missing You Dearly

CAS844 - Pay It Forward - Spread Kindness

My mother-in-law enjoys sending cards to friends who have moved away from her senior living neighborhood, and this card will be sent to her for that purpose.

I created this card entirely from scraps. First, I selected some colored cardstock, cut down several pieces, and layered them onto black cardstock. Next, I die-cut the flowers from scrap white cardstock and stamped the sentiment onto more scrap white.

To finish the design, I added blue pearls that complement the blue tones in the lower half of the card.

Fancy Birthday

FS951 - this week's incredibly talented featured stamper Jayne Mercer. I found this INSPIRATION.

For my card, I drew inspiration from the scallops on the bottom of Jayne's card. Using a punch, I created scalloped edges and layered a beautiful ribbon over them, along with the designer paper. I added dimension to the sentiment layer with foam dimensionals and completed the design with a bow and a few Nuvo drops for a finishing touch.
