Wild Birthday

SC1057 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out some tissue paper that has been glued on card stock for a couple of years waiting for me to put on a card. I cut it down with die cuts and created the background. It is then layered on gold mirror card stock. I then added the sentiment and this wonderful elephant image that is one of my all-time favorites from Stampin Up.

Lighthouse

MMTPT872 - Lighthouse / Sanding

For my card, I pulled out this great image from DRS Designs. They have retired but I still love their images and use them often.

The image is colored up with copics and layered in distressed tan card stock. I sanded the top of the card stock a bit and added some additional copic coloring to each of the layers with the darkest on top.

The card is finished with a Tim Holtz sentiment.

CAS841 - Easter cards or cards with bunnies

For my card, I used this great image from Unity. I have had it for years in my collection and never inked it up. I colored it with copics then layered it on a coordinating designer paper.

Always and Forever

FS948 - This week's incredibly talented FS is Kristina aka andersen65. I found this INSPIRATION.

I was inspired by the single rose and used this Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Rose. The base is Memory Box die cuts then the rose was layered and added.

The card was finished with the Altenew Sentiment popped up on dimensionals and some flowers and leaves punched from scraps that I keep in my stash.

F4A789 - Twist (More than one challenge)

For my card, I pulled out some fun purple papers and my purple scrap drawer and created this layout. I added some purple rickrack from my stash.

Next, I stamped this image from Stampin Up and colored it with copics finishing it with the birthday sentiment under the image.

I then die cut the image and left it in the die cut to sponge some purple around the image.

The image is popped up on dimensionals and the card was finished with the die cut 21 from white glitter paper and a few purple pearls.

Scrappy Burlap

WT1047 - Burlap

For my card, I found I had a bunch of scrap pieces of burlap in my brown designer paper. It was really adding a lot of bulk to the scrap drawer. I wondered if I could recreate this card with a scrappy background and YES, it turned out perfect.

I added several gems to really pop against the card front and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals. Now I have a way to use up more of my scrap burlap and create a really fun card front.

As You Like It - Favorite (Cute or Floral) I love florals. I do make cute cards sometimes but I really love floral cards. So many possibilities for florals. Cute is hard to give to everyone but florals can be for everyone.
