I love to create 3D cards and when I used the Bendi Frame technique found on Splitcoast Stampers I fell in love with it. I am sure going to use it again. Coloring this darling image and popping him up on dimensionals and finishing off with a 3D frame and flowers really brought this card to a whole new level. I have the link on my card below that will take you to the the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for the Bendi Frame.

Ride in to the Sun
Another great teen card...Using the stencil from Tim Holtz I sprayed yellow all over then a small amount of pink then finished off with some orange to create this sunshine. Then the image was stamped many times to get the silhouette really dark and finished off with a shimmery black emboss powder to have it really stand out on the card.

Just a Note
Need a fast note card? Grab any card stock, add some score lines and add a single punch or die cut and a sentiment. Want to add some sparkle, add a bit of bling and you have a super fast card and super cute card.

Great tip for adding to a card with what you have available, use an old book or a page from a magazine. For me I had this old book that was left from a previous home owner that had been used as a door stop and was torn up. Most would have thrown it out, I grabbed it for my craft stash. Stamping images over the text and then coloring them and adding some distress inks on the edge brought this card to life.

Many of us that are on the Splitcoast Website are volunteers. For the Dare to Get Dirty challenges so many wonderful ladies volunteered to hostess the wonderful challenges. They spend countless hours commenting and encouraging us crafters and it is really appreciated. On the final challenge I created this card as a thank you to those wonderful hostesses. In my craft stash during the challenges I ended up with these leftover flowers on my desk that did not work on other cards. Another wonderful way to save time on a card, see what is already stamped and sitting on your desk.

The spotlight technique is a wonderful technique. You can take a very large image and if you are short on time you can color just a portion of that image and draw out the color on the image and leave the rest uncolored. For this image I still kept it fairly uncolored adding only highlights to the image and that pop or red with the lady bug. Another fast way to color something is to sponge on the color. Our sponges carry just enough color that I could just pickup the red and sponge on the red to the lady bug.
