With All My Heart

WT1089 - Postage

For this card, I used a Waffle Flower stencil and die set, blending five different Distress Oxide colors through the stencil to create the stamped images. After the panel was inked, I cut it with the coordinating postage‑style die.

With the background complete, I added several of the individual postage stamps across the panel. The With All My Heart sentiment was stamped separately and popped up on dimensionals for added lift.

The finished panel is layered on black cardstock and then mounted onto a white card base.

Labradoodle

SC1098 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I started with a beautiful panel from Hunkydory and die cut the focal image from it, popping the piece up on dimensionals to add depth. The remaining panel is layered on black cardstock and then on a heart‑shaped layer.

The heart features a sympathy sentiment, and the entire design is finished on a paw‑print background panel framed with black and red cardstock.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

Chalk it Up

CAS882 - Education

I always enjoy education‑themed challenges, especially since I have three teachers in my family and like to keep a few school‑related cards on hand. This fun image from Art Impressions is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. After coloring, I fussy cut the image and popped it up on dimensionals over a black cardstock panel.

The black panel is layered on brown cardstock to mimic the look of a chalkboard, and the birthday sentiment is embossed in white to complete the effect.

Happy Valentines Day

FS989 - this week's very talented featured stamper is Teri, better known around SCS as TeriJ. Here is my INSPIRATION

I was drawn to the theme of love with Valentine's Day approaching, and instead of following the original monochromatic blue palette, I shifted the colors to better suit the season. I loved the tilted "love" on the inspiration card, so I echoed that angle by tilting my layered hearts and sentiment. Teri also used a beautiful doily on her card, and that detail inspired me to pull one from my stash and tuck it beneath the heart cluster.

The layered hearts and die-cut cherub sit on a heart‑embossed kraft panel with distressed edges, which is then mounted on red and black card bases for contrast and depth. Both the sentiment and cherub are popped up on dimensionals to add lift and interest.

A couple of gold glitter hearts finish the design with a touch of sparkle.

With Love

IC1050 - Quilted Chicken and Pinterest - INSPIRATION

This card was inspired by the floral pattern in the fabric, and I found fun floral paper in my stash. I cut the layers and added a white panel to create contrast and interest. The front was finished with a Happy Birthday sentiment, layered on vellum so the bold print remained the focal point.

For this design, I also wanted to experiment with a new fold called the Concertina Pop‑Up. Every tutorial I found featured a version larger than A2, so I created my own measurements to adapt the fold to A2 size. You can find my tutorial here: Concertina Pop-Up Card A2

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope you will give this fold a try, it is such a fun and creative way to finish the inside of a card.

Skateboard Birthday

WT1088 - Exercising

For this card, I used a wonderful retired stamp from Stampin’ Up that always reminds me of my brother and nephews, making it perfect for a masculine birthday design. I stamped the image once, then shifted the paper slightly and stamped again to create a sense of movement.

After trimming the layers, I added a small corner die cut for extra interest and finished the design with a birthday sentiment. Each layer is framed in black to give the card strong contrast and a clean, bold finish.

Love

SC1097 - this week's sketch challenge on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I used a die from Simon Says Stamp that allows me to create my own cross‑stitch patterns. I found a heart design online that was slightly too large for an A2 card front, so I resized the pattern to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 panel. The heart is stitched in pink, purple, and white.

After the stitching was complete, I added a purple frame followed by a white frame and layered everything onto the finished panel.

In case anyone wonders the amount of time to stitch an entire panel and create a full background when there is no clear pattern, this took about 10 hours. The very special person getting this card is absolutely worth the effort.

CAS881 - National Hot Tea Day

For this card, I used a stamp gifted to me by my friend Jan (Precious Kitty): Tea Time Treats by Crafter’s Companion. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Fiskars.

After the coloring was complete, I trimmed the panel, layered it on a black cardstock frame, and mounted it onto a white card base.

Beach Birthday

FS988 - this week's featured stamper on splitcoaststampers.com is is Arlene_C. This is my INSPIRATION.

I was inspired by the beach‑beauty theme and reached for this fun Unity Stamp image. She’s stamped in black, the sentiment in pink, and then colored with Copics before being mounted on bright pink cardstock.

For the background, I paired two beach‑themed designer papers and added a strip of rickrack to define the transition between them. A few orange sequins finish the design and echo the warm tones in the patterned paper, tying everything together with a sunny pop of color.

XOXO

IC1049 - Factory Direct Crafts - INSPIRATION.

This card was inspired by the stacked hearts from my inspiration photo, so the design began with a collection of punched hearts made from paper scraps. Five hearts were glued together to form each dimensional piece. Once the hearts were assembled, score lines were added to a white cardstock panel to create subtle texture, and the stacked hearts were adhered in place.

After the hearts were secured, the entire panel was painted with red acrylic paint, followed by a soft white acrylic wash. While the paint was still wet, gold leaf flakes were pressed into the surface so they would dry into the background and add a touch of shimmer.

The card was completed with an XOXO die cut and a Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment popped up on dimensionals for added depth.

Birthday Pandas

WT1087 - Tiny Stamps

At last year's Danville craft show, I discovered these adorable panda stamps from Mama Elephant. They are quite small, and I realized I could easily fit all of them on the front of a card.

For this design, I stamped four pandas and added color to the balloon and bow tie on one image before die cutting the layers. The pandas are arranged on black and white cardstock, then mounted onto a coordinating black and white card base.

To complete the look, I added a birthday sentiment, popped up with dimensionals for extra depth.

A True Friend

SC1096 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I used an adorable doghouse die from My Favorite Things and cut the layers from a mix of scrap papers. The doghouse is set against a soft cloud‑patterned background and framed with a bold red panel. The dog image is from Xcut.

To finish the design, I added a sentiment from Dare 2B Artzy and a few punched hearts for a simple, cheerful touch.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

Happy Anniversary

CAS880 - Quite Reflection

When I think of quiet reflection, I am reminded of the many years my husband and I have shared together and the challenges we have overcome.

For this card, I chose an image from Art Impressions and colored it with Copic markers. I added an Anniversary sentiment to complete the design, then trimmed the panel and layered it onto black cardstock for a crisp, finished look.

Congratulations

FS987 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Lori Smith aka mybugandi45. I found this INSPIRATION.

The rainbow of colors in Lori's inspiration immediately reminded me of this gorgeous Whimsy Stamps paper. I had a small leftover panel from a previous project, so I trimmed it into narrow strips and framed each one with black cardstock for crisp definition. The strips are arranged over a polka‑dot background, which is also framed in black before being adhered to the card base.

To finish the design, I added a popped‑up Congratulations sentiment and a scattering of sequins for a little celebratory sparkle.

King and Queen Anniversary

IC1048 - Urban Wear Outsiders - INSPIRATION

I was inspired by the playing‑card pattern on the long‑sleeved shirt and reached for this Spellbinders die set and coordinating hot foil plate.

For the gold base, I used the large playing‑card hot foil plate with gold foil on white cardstock. After foiling, I rounded the corners to echo a real deck and layered the panel onto a black cardstock base for contrast.

The king and queen were die cut from several scrap papers and carefully assembled, placing the queen at the top and the king at the bottom to mirror the classic card layout.

Since the design felt perfect for an anniversary, I finished the inside with a Happy Anniversary sentiment stamped in pink to coordinate with the colors on the queen.

Bold Birthday

F4A828 - Cupcake

MIX675 - Limited Palette (Red, White, Black & Gold)

For my card, I worked with a Spellbinders birthday set and cut all the elements from a bold palette of red, white, black, and gold. After die cutting, I layered the pieces with dimensionals to build depth and added red and white baker's twine to the balloons for a playful touch.

The cupcake is accented with Stickles for a bit of sparkle, and I incorporated mixed media by combining cardstock, glitter paper, and even a piece of wallpaper for added texture and interest.
