Congrats Pup

WT1086 - New Beginnings

For this card, I created a design inspired by the New Beginnings challenge, using a new die cut to craft a playful dog theme. The bone and bow pieces were cut, then enhanced with sponging and white highlights to bring depth and detail. The bow was raised with dimensionals, adding extra interest to the layered elements.

The focal panel is set against paw print paper, while the "Congratulations" sentiment was die cut and layered in red cardstock to provide a bold pop of color.

To finish, I added a few gold sequin hearts from my stash, giving the card a touch of sparkle and helping me use up some of those treasured embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Welcome Pup

SC1095 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For today’s card, I chose an adorable image from Hunkydory and framed it with a cheerful yellow border. The image was layered onto pawprint designer paper to enhance the playful theme.

The “welcome” sentiment was raised on dimensionals for added depth, and the design was finished with a few die‑cut balls accented with white highlights to mirror the tennis balls in the image.

This will be another pet donation card.

Time to Party

CAS879 - Clocks

This might be the easiest card I have ever made. I used two scrap black strips, snipping the edges to resemble arrows for the clock face. They were raised on dimensionals and finished with a single gold Nuvo Drop for a simple yet striking detail.

The design was completed with a sentiment from Altenew, adding a crisp finishing touch to the layout.

Thinking of You

FS986 - This week's very talented Featured Stamper is Tracy, also known as Garden Crafts. I found this INSPIRATION.

The inspiration piece featured a three‑panel designer paper layout, and that became the starting point for my card. Instead of using three different papers, I chose one bold black‑and‑white pattern and trimmed it into three coordinated panels, layering each one on black cardstock for definition. To complete the layout, I selected two additional black‑and‑white patterns from my stash and layered those on black as well, creating a cohesive and striking monochromatic design.

The Thinking of You sentiment is stamped in black Memento ink on white cardstock, framed with black, and popped up on dimensionals for added lift.

A few white candy dots provide a simple finishing touch.

Valentine Heart

IC1045 - Little Obsessed and Pinterest - INSPIRATION

For this card, I drew inspiration from the colors on a trivia box and selected patterned papers that echoed its palette. The layers were accented with white and bold pink, while the heart was raised on dimensionals and paired with a Valentine’s sentiment.

To complete the design, I added punched flowers and leaves around the heart, finishing them with Nuvo Drops for a touch of shine and dimension.

Merry & Bright

F4A827 - Snowy

MIX674 - Snowmen

For today's card, I reached for this charming Deep Red snowman and stamped him on Kraft cardstock, then brought him to life with colored pencils.

To finish the design, I added a Unity sentiment beneath the image, trimmed the panel for a clean fit, and mounted it on a crisp white card base for a simple, cozy winter look.

Thank you for visiting today and taking the time to check out my card. I truly hope this season brings you wonderful moments to celebrate and cherish.

WT1085 - Light Entertainment

For this card, I gathered several scrap papers to build the layout, adding touches of white to the layers for framing and contrast. This gave the design a balanced, layered look while making good use of leftover pieces.

The coffee cup and sentiment from Fiskars were both raised on dimensionals to add depth. The card is finished with a scattering of candy dots for a playful accent.

Love You to the Moon

SC1094 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I used distress inks to create the base, blending the colors so that the center remained the lightest. To add shimmer, I sprayed the panel with gold spray from Heidi Swapp.

The moon was stamped with an image from Altenew using several shades of grey distress inks, then die cut and raised on dimensionals. The design is finished with scattered die‑cut gold stars and a sentiment placed at the bottom of the panel.

Grumpy Kitty

CAS878 - Santa is Coming

For this card, I chose a playful retired Grumpy Kitty image from Impression Obsession. It was stamped onto Kraft cardstock and colored with pencils to bring out its character and charm.

The design is completed with a bold Merry Christmas sentiment, raised on dimensionals to add depth and emphasis.

Skateboard Birthday

FS985 - this week's very talented featured stamper is kraftykateloset aka Cathy. Here is my INSPIRATION.

The neutral palette and strong center focal point inspired this card. I selected a silhouette image from Flonz Craft, stamped it in black, and layered it on a black frame.

Next, I stamped an additional skateboard image and added a very light blue tint so it would stand out on the sentiment strip. The sentiment strip is also framed in black for a cohesive look.

A neutral designer paper panel is layered on black cardstock and then placed on a white card base. A few gems provide a simple finishing touch.

Hi Bee

IC1046 - Lucuma Gallery & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

For this card, I selected a playful die cut from Spellbinders and cut the pieces from a variety of scraps. The mix of colors and textures gave the design a lively, patchwork feel.

I am especially enjoying these new die cuts because they make it easy to use leftover scraps in fresh ways, turning them into fun and unique cards.

Sunflower Thanks

F4A826 - Favorite Color

USEIT2025 - Sunflower

Anyone who has followed my cardmaking journey knows that my all-time favorite color is blue. It is a color that pairs beautifully with every shade.

For today’s card, a small piece of blue designer paper inspired the entire design. It was too lovely to discard, so it became the foundation for a playful layout on the sentiment panel. After assembling the layers, the sentiment was stamped in coordinating blue ink.

A search through the magic tote revealed a dimensional sunflower gifted by my mom, and it added the perfect touch of texture and interest. The sentiment panel and sunflower are layered on yellow cardstock, framed with navy cardstock, and the completed panel is set on a crisp white card base.

Paul Klee Inspired

WT1084 - Paul Klee's Birthday - be inspired by any of his creations

I was immediately drawn to the distinctive style of Paul Klee, which inspired the design of this card. Using watercolor paper, I created the panel with watercolors to capture a playful, painterly effect.

The finished panel is layered onto a bold black card base for striking contrast, and the birthday sentiment is elevated on dimensionals to add depth and focus.

For this card, I selected a playful stamp from Riley and Company. It was stamped onto white cardstock, colored with Copics, and set within a gold frame to highlight the golden accents in the image.

To complete the design, I incorporated additional touches of gold for extra interest, raised the sentiment on dimensionals, and finished the card with a satin bow.

Purple Birthday

FS984 - this week's incredibly talented featured stamper is iluvpaper2. I found this amazing INSPIRATION.

I was inspired by the background in the inspiration piece and immediately thought of this Spellbinders die cut. I die cut the panel, stitched it with purple DMC floss, and layered it onto coordinating purple cardstock.

Since the inspiration featured a beautiful flower, I carried that theme forward by adding several small purple flowers, shaped with a stylist, along with green leaves. I finished them with purple pearls for added detail. These elements frame the birthday sentiment, which is elevated on dimensionals for extra depth.

Peace

F4A824 - Birds

F4A825 - Music

MIX672 - Snowflakes

I began with the background, using a retired DRS Designs snowflake stamp. The image was white heat‑embossed to create a crisp resist, and then I blended two shades of distress oxide ink over the embossed snowflakes to add depth and variation in color.

For the focal point, I stamped the Stampendous bird image and heat embossed it in gold for a rich, metallic finish. After fussy cutting the bird, I sponged the edges with tan distress oxide ink to soften the cut lines and give the piece more definition.

To complete the design, I adhered the bird with dimensionals, allowing it to stand out against the snowy background and adding texture and lift to the overall composition.

Twine Inlay Christmas

WT1083 - Pine

CCC25DEC - Danger Get Them Done

For today’s card, I die cut a tree shape from white cardstock and filled it using the Twine Inlay technique with festive red and green twine. The texture and color made the tree stand out beautifully.

I stamped a Christmas sentiment in bright red beneath the design, keeping the look crisp and cheerful. The finished panel was then layered onto a green card base, tying the whole piece together with a classic holiday feel.

80th Birthday

SC1092 - This week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For today’s card, I reached for a favorite retired set from Heartfelt Creations. I stamped the flowers, sponged color into the centers, then shaped them and added popped‑up centers for extra dimension.

The birthday sentiment is from Karen Burniston, cut from green and yellow cardstock. Those same colors were mirrored as accent layers beneath the designer paper to tie the palette together.

To highlight the milestone, I die cut the number 80 several times from white cardstock, topping it with a bold red glitter layer. The finished number was then mounted on white and green layers for added depth.

I completed the design with the birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a few stamped buttons, also shaped and raised, to bring playful texture and balance to the card.

Snowy

CAS876 - Do You Want to Build a Snowman

CCC25DEC - Danger Get Them Done

For today’s card, I pulled out one of my all‑time favorite snowmen, Penny Black’s “Snowy.” I stamped him on white cardstock and brought him to life with Copics, adding cheerful shading to highlight his personality.

To build texture, I ran the background through a retired Stampin’ Up snowflake embossing folder, which adds a subtle wintery dimension behind the image.

I finished the design by layering everything onto a green card base that echoes the colors in Snowy’s outfit. A “Merry Christmas” sentiment, stamped in green and popped up on dimensionals, completes the card with festive depth and balance.

Paint Birthday

FS983 - this week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Laura aka stampjournal. I found this INSPIRATION.

I was inspired by the rainbow of crayons and chose to create a rainbow of paint instead. Each paint element is stitched with silver DMC floss, adding a touch of shimmer and texture.

The paintbrush handle is crafted from birch bark collected from a tree on my aunt's property, giving the design a natural and personal touch. The brush itself is popped up on dimensionals for added depth, and the card is finished with a cheerful birthday sentiment.

Warm Cocoa Wishes

IC1044 - The Paper Mill & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

I was inspired by the single snowflake on the drink glass and thought this Spellbinders die‑cut set was the perfect choice.

I cut all the layers and assembled them, adding a few dimensionals to create depth and interest. Once complete, the design was mounted onto Christmas tree patterned paper for a festive backdrop.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment, raised on dimensionals, and scattered a few gems for sparkle.

Dragon Birthday

WT1082 - Pencil Me In

USEIT2025 - Image and sentiment

For today’s card, I dug into my tote of supplies I’m working through and came across this adorable dragon with its egg. It felt like the perfect find to feature.

I colored the image with pencils, adding soft shading and gentle highlights to enhance its whimsical charm. Once finished, I used a stitched die to cut both the dragon panel and the sentiment, giving them a crisp, polished edge.

To complete the design, I layered everything over a playful patterned paper that echoed the fantasy feel. For the finishing touch, I added an extra birthday sentiment, popping it up on dimensionals to create depth and emphasize the celebratory mood.

Welcome Dog Bones

SC1091 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For today’s card, I pulled out a playful patterned paper from Whimsy Stamps. It’s one of my favorites, and I decided it was time to finally put it to use.

Using the day’s sketch as inspiration, I created another pet donation card and incorporated a few dog bone accents to fit the theme.

To add dimension, I popped up both the bones and the “Welcome” sentiment with foam adhesives. For the finishing touch, I added sequins that echo the colors in the patterned paper, tying the whole design together with a cheerful sparkle.

Thinking of You Pup

MMTPT906 - White Paws & Gentle Breezes

For today’s card, I chose an adorable dog image that was gifted to me by Denise (Card Crazy). She knows how much I enjoy using dog designs for my donation cards, and this one was perfect.

I stamped the image and brought it to life with Copics, adding depth and warmth through the coloring. Beneath the design, I stamped a simple “Thinking of You” sentiment to complete the focal point.

To frame the panel, I added a bright green mat that makes the colors pop. For extra texture and charm, I layered two different paw‑print patterned papers, each accented with the same green framing, to tie the whole design together.
