Sunflower Birthday

SC1040 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out a couple of coordinating orange papers and cut down the green base layer adding a strip of green between the designer papers.

Next, I die cut the stitched sunflower from Spellbinders and added sponging to the center of the flower. I then added gold stitching to the flower and brown to the center.

The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and a few sequins were added.

I feel I cheated with this card. I had this cute paper that is Santa in a chimney, and he has glitter on him. It has been in my Christmas papers for a few years, and I have been telling myself I need to make a fast card with it as it has everything in the paper.

I cut the paper, stamped the sentiment and popped it up on dimensionals. Seriously, I think this card took 5 minutes.

For this card, I used the Double Triangle fold tutorial HERE.

Once the card base was cut, I found this cute winter paper and I cut the piece layering it directly on the base layer. I then found some mirror paper that matches the silver shimmery stars on the designer paper. I used that to mat the sentiment and added a few additional punched stars. This is a really fast card to make when you need to make a lot of cards in a hurry but still want some fun in the card with the great fold.

DEC24VSNF - Case Lee - Inspiration

I love panda bears (ok all bears) and when I saw Lee's card it was perfect to make a panda card. I know how much Lee loves pink so I decorated this panda with a pink bow and hat and used a designer paper that has faint pink flowers.

The card was finished with a few pink pearls and the panda was popped up on dimensionals.

DEC24VSNK - Gift/Present

IC992 - IMAGELLA & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

I am working on my annual Christmas presents for friends and family and this challenge for a Gift/Present is perfect for a birthday card. The inspiration with all the colorful packages reminded me I have this colorful floss on the back of my craft chairs that I need to get used up.

For this card, I die cut the tag then did a quick stitching of this package using the colorful floss and added teal trim to the top of the package. I then layered on the colorful designer paper and more teal for the base.

The birthday sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and the card and tag is finished with some ribbon and a few scattered sequins.

DEC24VSNL - Come in from the cold!

IC992 - IMAGELLA & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

When I saw the dog on the inspiration, I just had to pull out a calendar that my aunt sent a picture of her sweet dog to get added to the calendar. He was published for August and I just had to save the image. He is perfect for a birthday card for her so this will be in my mom's Christmas box to give the card to her sister. He is sitting on a bed with lots of blankest around him and perfect for the Virtual Stamp Night challenge.

I cut the image with a stitched rectangle die cut then layered on a plaid to pick up the plaid in the image. I then added a few hearts and this really funny sentiment. My aunt will get a kick out of this card. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and the hearts are finished with a few light blue pearls.

Cat Christmas

WT1030 - Baker's Twine

This card design came from seeing a card from Lydia (Understandblue) on splitcoaststamers.com. When I saw this die cut on her card I just had to get this.

For my card, I die cut the cat tower in the colors matching my cat tower, die cut the cats to match my girls then added the baker's twine to the legs of the cat tower.

I added a Christmas sentiment so I could send this to my friend that gave me my yellow kitty. Every Christmas I give him a yellow kitty card for Christmas so this is his card this year.

Valentine Hearts

CAS823 - Clean Up

For my craft room, I try to clean up my scraps by punching out the small pieces with small punches. I end up with a lot of flowers, leaves, hearts and circles as those are my smallest punches. Then at the end of the day, I will scoop up those small punches and put them in drawers on my craft table.

For this card, I used a bunch of little hearts, added a second layer on dimensionals then finished with a couple of flowers and leaves adding red Nuvo Drops.

The card was finished with the Valentine sentiment.
