These Boots Are Made For...

I am one of the volunteer team members of the super fun challenge on Thursdays at Splitcoast Stampers. Today we are adding pairs of something on our cards. Now is anyone shocked I did shoes? Giggles!!! I really love how this card turned out and if I saw these boots in a store I might just have to buy them. :)

Copics Used: C1, E13, E35, E37 and E51.

We hope you come join the fun on our challenge!

These Boots Are Made For...

Red Tea Party

I love the Teapot Tuesday challenge on SCS especially when we get to exchange with others as we get to see their stunning cards in real life. This challenge was to use a Red Teapot on our cards. Very carefully using the masking technique I added two images to this card and colored with copics. It is always fun to have new card crafters join in the fun so if you are wanting to see some of these great cards we exchange every month on the last Tuesday of the month. We hope you come join the fun!

Copics used: C1, C3, R20, R24, R32, RV21, RV34, E31, E33, E51, Y21 and B32.

Happy Panda Birthday

Using a Bamboo emboss folder I inked one side ran white card stock through. Then Cut down the black banner and heat embossed the Happy birthday. Added the fun Panda Sticker and Foot sticker.

Graduation Mouse

I needed a graduation card for my sweet nephew that spent a week helping me move. I could not have done that week without his help. I just adore this darling house mouse image and thought it was perfect for a masculine graduation card. Colored the image with copics, added stickles to him for some fun shine. Die cut the circle and layered. Used the graduation EF on the top and some fun striped paper on the bottom. Mounted on a black CS then the red card base.

Copics Used:  0, C1, R20, R24, R29, R39, E13, E15,E51 and Y13

Wild Birthday

Needing to do another masculine birthday this was the perfect inspiration for my uncle who just loves being out in the world of nature. I used a animal print DP to mirror the animal print on the nails. Stamped the image and colored with copics. Die cut the image in a circle and mounted on black. Stamped the sentiment and die cut that also in a circle and on black. The scene on the brown was stamped twice to get all the way across the card and it worked perfect. Then I mounted that on black. The leaf started as a DP with cream and white. I die cut the TH leaf, drew in the veins then added 4 different colors to the leaf to add the colors and interest. Mounted all on the DP, then clack and then craft card stock. I added a bit of interest to the top right corner with a chevron and added three dots of liquid pearls.

Day Lily Birthday

This was so super fun to play with to do this card. I don't often get a chance to use the water coloring brush I have but today I drug it out to play. Using five Tim Holtz distress inks and my water color brush I colored this cute flower. Then adding some layers and the oval to draw the eye in I mounted the flower after adding some dimension and sponging some brown around the flower and stem to get the flower to pop. Finished the flower off with some stickles and liquid pearls.

Distress inks used: Wild Honey, Special Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn.

This was one of the fastest cards I have ever made using what I already have cut and sitting in my stash. I love fast cards when I only have moments to get it done to move on with the rest of my day.

Cherry Birthday!

The featured stamper is such a great way to see other's cards and get ideas for your own cards. This card is really quite outside my comfort zone as I would never have thought of using red and orange on a card yet it really works so well.

Copics used: 0, YR14, Y13, Y17, R20, R32, R37, R39, RV21, E11, E15, E29, E31, E35, E37, E55, E57, YG11, YG13, YG17, YG67 and B41

Monogramed JL

I really loved using the reverse die cut on the front on the card. This is one way to use both parts of the cardstock without having any waste. Now I can color the great vines and use them on another card.

It's Your Day!

When I first learned of Tiddly Inks it was this image that caught my eye. It would be a while before I could get a few images as I was in the process of moving but then I hosted a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers for Weddings and Anniversaries and I just had to use this image. So off to Tiddly Inks I went to grab this image (and a few more that I love) to create this card.

I am submitting this for the Tiddly Inks DT.

Hear the Truck Roar

Some months ago I printed this image to make another card for a friend and decided to color two copies of it. I have found that coloring two copies of images really saves time when needing to make a fast card. I have used up most of my stash of precolored images so I need to get back to coloring more than one because you never know when you need a super fast card.

Thanks So Much!

Something that most card makers and scrapbookers is always trying to do is use up scraps. Well this is one such card created with some of the scraps in my stash. Adding sponged color to the edges and dash lines adds some fun interest on the circles too.

Watercolor Flowers

It has been so many years since I just sat down and paint an image with no thought of the design before painting. This turned out better than I had imagined once I was done to just doodle an image with water coloring. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a water brush to get these stunning flowers.

Yellow Poppy

One of the biggest reasons I love Splitcoast Stampers is all the great new techniques I have learned in the last couple of years. This one was wonderful to stamp the image in a light color, water color it in and then draw the lines back over. It really is quite stunning once done. Again using another wonderful set from Heartfelt Creations this time I did the yellow and just loved the look.
