Lily Birthday

IC1055 - Essential Stencil - INSPIRATION

F4A835 - Pink Flowers

For this card, I was inspired by the lily and reached for my lily stencil from The Ton. After stenciling the bloom, I used the coordinating die to cut it out and layered it over a pair of plaid panels, adding a thin white trim to echo the lily’s outline.

The card is finished with a birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a few green candy dots for a soft, balanced touch.

Pink Birthday Flower

F4A835 - Pink Flowers

For my card today, I reached for a paper pad I am working to use up this year and added one of the patterns to a white card base. Since the challenge called for pink flowers, I pulled out my pink paper scraps and built the layout, adding a touch of green as a highlight layer.

With the panel in place, I finished the design with a pink birthday sentiment, a single pink flower with green leaves from my stash, and a few candy dots from my tote of items I am trying to use up.

Just a Note

WT1093 - Music Playing Devices

For my card today, I wanted to create a design filled with music and energy, so I focused on bold color and texture. The panel was sponged with red, blue, green, and yellow Distress Oxide inks, then the Tim Holtz drum image was stamped on top.

Next, I added Nuvo Mousse through a stencil on a couple of corners to bring in extra dimension.

A light white splatter from a Heidi Swapp spritz added movement and contrast.

The card was finished with the Just A Note sentiment, white heat embossed on black cardstock, and the panel mounted on a white card base.

SC1102 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out several dog themed papers, including two different paw print patterns, a Unity Stamp dog paper, and a Hunkydory paper.

The black and white paw print paper was trimmed and layered on black cardstock, then placed on the white card base. I added two flags and stamped the sentiment on them. The Hunkydory dog image was layered on black cardstock and tucked under the flags to complete the focal point.

This card will be another of my pet donation cards.

CAS886 - Humorous

For my card, when I think humorous, my go to is Art Impressions, and this image was just right. I stamped it on white cardstock and colored it with Copics, adding the sentiment in the upper left corner.

The panel was trimmed and layered on a black card base to keep the focus on the playful image.

Mother's Day

FS993 - this week's incredibly gifted featured stamper ntowry (Nancy). Here is my INSPIRATION.

I drew inspiration from her beautiful single bloom and reached for this rose from Sweet N Sassy. I stamped it on white cardstock, colored it with Copics, then trimmed it into a square and layered it over yellow cardstock for a soft pop of contrast.

Instead of using a full strip behind the rose, I switched things up with two banners and added a bit of sponging to bring out their edges.

To finish the card, I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals and added a few gems for a touch of sparkle.

Scrappy Thanks

IC1054 - Anthropology - INSPIRATION

For this card, I was inspired by the patchwork on the beautiful dress and pulled out my stack of one‑inch paper square scraps to create a coordinating patchwork background. Each piece was adhered to white cardstock and then trimmed to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 black card base.

The card is finished with a thank you sentiment on an oval, popped up on dimensionals and layered over a scalloped oval for a clean, classic focal point.

Mountain Birthday

WT1092 - Mountains / Hills

For my card today, I pulled out a wonderful retired image from Stampin Up and stamped it on white cardstock, coloring the image with Copics.

The panel was die cut with a square stitched die and layered on a black die cut square. These squares were placed over a grosgrain blue ribbon that was cut into a banner shape and set on top of a leafy designer paper.

Once the focal panel was complete, it was layered on black and then on white to highlight the colors in the image. A few scattered gems finish the card with a touch of sparkle.

Classic Thanks

SC1101 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I pulled out a paper pad that I am working to use up. My goal is to finish at least five paper pads this year, and this one is part of that group.

I cut the layers and added white and gold accent pieces to build the layout.

For the sentiment panel, I used two different die cuts and stamped the word Thanks in tan to coordinate with the colors in the paper.

To finish the card, I opened my drawers of flowers and leaves that I fill by punching leftover paper scraps. I added a small cluster of flowers and leaves, then completed the centers with tan Nuvo Drops to echo the tan tones in the design.

CAS885 - Heart

USEIT2026 - Heart

For this card, I reached into my tote of items I want to use up. This is part of my annual challenge to work through those supplies, and I found a wood heart that I seem to have several of. It was perfect for this project.

For the white layer, I used a focal embossing folder and placed the wood heart in the center. A couple of tags were tucked under the heart, and I finished the panel with a few red pearls.

The entire piece is layered on a red card base for a clean, bold finish.

Pink Roses

IC1053 - Proflowers - INSPIRATION

For my card today, I drew inspiration from the gorgeous pink roses. I reached for this lovely Honey Bee Stamps set and die cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock. Using daubers, I softly sponged pink onto the petals and green onto the leaves, then arranged the blooms in a grey pot.

The finished arrangement is set over a grey rose‑patterned designer paper, then layered on white and finally a grey card base for a clean, coordinated look. A birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals adds a bit of lift, and a scattering of candy dots provides the final touch of interest.

Valentine Love

F4A833 - Valentine

MIX680 - Love Your Art

I began with a kraft cardstock panel already embossed with hearts, trimming it to size and distressing all the edges for added texture.

From there, I layered a doily from my stash, then die cut a large black heart as the main anchor. Over that, I added an embossed red heart and brushed black ink across the raised areas to bring out the detail.

To finish the card, I added the Valentine sentiment and a cupid die cut, both popped up on dimensionals for depth.

Gothic Valentines Day

WT1091 - Ribbon

USEIT2026 - Paper clip, Key, Earrings

For this card, I am truly delighted with how everything came together. I began by weaving a purple satin ribbon to create the base, then layered it on a punched white lace cardstock. That panel was placed on a coordinating purple layer and finally mounted on a black card base.

Next, I added the love paper clip from my magic tote of items and accented it with a white heart made from an old earring my aunt had given me. A black satin bow was layered on top, finished with a black bead earring for added texture and interest.

Tucked beneath the bow is a small tag that was embossed on white cardstock and layered on black. The purple heart was stamped in black ink, and I die cut two additional hearts, one in black and one in purple, layering them together and topping the stack with a small key.

The card is finished with a Happy Valentine's Day sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

This card was created for my son to give to his wife for Valentine’s Day, and I designed it with a gothic feel since they both love that style and my son especially loves purple.

SC1100 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I started with a pawprint patterned paper for the base and layered it on black and white cardstock. The white layer was die cut and then embossed with a pawprint folder to add texture.

The dog image from Hunkydory is layered on black cardstock and popped up on dimensionals for depth.

To finish the design, the sentiment was stamped in white, layered on black, and popped up on dimensionals to coordinate with the focal image.

This card will be another of my pet donation cards.

CAS884 - National River Day. Showcase River or Water

For this card, I reached for a charming Unity Stamp seahorse and stamped it on white cardstock. The seaweed was stamped on a second white panel, with the sentiment placed in the upper corner for balance.

Both images were colored with Copics, and the seahorse was popped up on dimensionals so it appears to float above the seaweed. Once assembled, the panel was trimmed and layered onto purple and teal cardstock to echo the colors in the focal image and give the design a fresh, coastal feel.

Birthday Drinks

FS991 - this week's amazingly talented Featured Stamper is Brandy aka brandyann9. I found this INSPIRATION.

JAN26VSNC - Metallics: gold, silver, bronze

For my card, I was immediately drawn to the bold striped background on Brandy’s design, so I reached for a striking pink‑and‑white striped paper of my own. The panel is mounted on a silver layer for a clean, polished edge and then adhered to a white card base.

I paired two Tim Holtz drink die cuts, adding soft Copic shading to bring the pieces to life and popping a few elements on dimensionals to create extra depth.

A simple birthday sentiment strip and a scattering of pink sequins complete the card with a bright, celebratory touch.
