Anniversary Scene

IC1056 - Gatsby Backdrops - INSPIRATION

For this card, I was inspired by the trees and thought they would make a beautiful setting for an anniversary scene. I began by sponging a soft setting‑sun background on the card base using pink, orange, and yellow Distress Oxide inks.

Next, I die cut the bride and groom and created a black heart aperture to frame them. I added a light white spritz from Heidi Swapp to the heart layer for a touch of texture and contrast.

For the trees, I used a Spellbinders die and cut them from several shades of green, arranging them on either side of the heart and sentiment banner to complete the scene.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card today. Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated. If you leave a note, a visit to your blog will follow.

Wedded Bliss

IC1036 - Selfridges - Inspiration

I was inspired by the two swans on the sweater and pulled out this beautiful swan image, a retired stamp from Heartfelt Creations. The image was stamped, colored with Copics, and then die cut. I also stamped and colored the lilies, shaped them, added stamens to the centers, and finished them with a touch of Stickles for sparkle.

Behind the dimensional lilies, I tucked two additional stamped lily images, also colored with Copics, to add depth and fullness.

All of the elements were arranged within the shaped gate die cuts and layered onto purple cardstock for a rich backdrop.

This card is headed to my son and his fiancée, who will be married soon. Since she loves ducks, I thought this swan image would be a sweet nod to her love of them.

Gothic Wedding

F4A816 - Fabric

For my card, I used black lace beneath the embossed layer to incorporate fabric into the design.

I added torn and curled edges to the embossed layer for texture, then adhered it to a black card base with the lace peeking out from underneath.

Next, I stamped Heartfelt Creations flowers and leaves onto black cardstock using Versamark ink, then heat embossed them in black for a subtle, dimensional effect. After cutting and shaping the layers, I assembled them to create depth and movement.

To finish the card, I added a silver "Best Wishes" tag.

This card is headed to my son and his fiancée, who are getting married soon. They both love gothic style and have asked guests to dress as if attending a funeral—how delightfully dramatic! I adore their sense of fun and feel this card suits them perfectly.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my card today. I truly appreciate your kind comments. If you leave me a note, I’d love to visit your blog in return.

50th Anniversary

FS966 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Mspork. I found this INSPIRATION.

For my card, I loved the inspiration of the textured flowers over the heart on the featured stamper's card. On my heart, I die cut the ivy heart layer using glitter gold paper. Next, I traced that heart and cut it down with scissors to match the ivy heart layer using gold mirror for that layer.

The 50 was cut 3 times out of white card stock then the top layer was cut out of white glitter paper.

The heart was layered on a white die cut layer then the sentiment was heat embossed in gold glitter.

Then the panel was layered on the gold mirror paper.

Anniversary

SC1072 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out a beautiful pack of love paper from Michaels and cut 3 different papers to create the base layer. This cut is great for getting several cards at once.

Next, I die cut the heart layers, stamped the anniversary sentiment and finished with a couple of additional hearts.

F4A802 - Romance

USEIT2025 - Pink Pearls from my tote

This challenge came at the perfect time. A sweet friend is getting married next Saturday and I needed to get on the ball and get this made.

I cut the base layers adding a really pretty pink rose paper for the base layer.

Next, I stamped and cut the Heartfelt Flowers adding some pink to the edges, shaped them then layered them using hot glue.

Once the flowers were created and the leaves were cut and colored, I layered them intertwining the pink pearls from my tote.

I then die cut the gold rings adding a green stone (the bride's engagement ring is a green stone). The card was finished with the die cut Mr & Mrs from Creek Bank Creations and popped up on dimensionals and some stickles to the Roses.

FS960 - Take Your Pick

FS01 - I went back to the first FS - krabearkub (Kurtis). Here is my INSPIRATION.

I changed the layout and used a die cut rather than the stamped heart. I added several flowers around the heart and popped the heart up on dimensionals finishing it with flowers and Nuvo Drops.

MMTPT877 - 60th Anniversary

For my card, I used this cute die cut from Spellbinders cutting out the pieces with colors in the designer paper. I added the CIAO balloons to meet the Italy theme of the challenge and added the Happy Anniversary popped up on dimensionals.

The balloons were popped up every other letter and I added a coordinating bakers twine for the ties and finished the card with a few pink gems.

CAS845 - Cinco de Mayo (or any kind of celebration)

For my celebration card, I created a wedding card. The card base is black then layered with pink. I die cut the glasses using My Favorite Things and layered with silver glitter paper. The card was finished with die cut hearts and sentiment also from the silver glitter paper.

Happy Anniversary

SC1060 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I needed to create an anniversary card for my dear hubby. While sorting through my scrap papers, I came across two green hearts leftover from my wedding cards—such a perfect find for an anniversary card!

I crafted the gold hearts by layering tissue paper onto white cardstock before cutting them out. These were then placed on the green base. To enhance the green hearts, I added black and white highlights and stamped the sentiment in green, popping it up with dimensionals.

The bridal dress and tuxedo were created using Spellbinders die cuts and layered together. Interestingly, this dress die cut bears a striking resemblance to my own wedding dress, minus the band at the front.

WT1033 - Curtains

For my card, I used this great die cut from Anna Griffin. This die cut is amazing. I cut out the layers then added some gold trim to the curtains. The pull tab on the edge adds a bit of a spin to the bride and groom. On the bride, I added some bling to her dress and her bun and the sentiment is popped up on dimensionals.

Anniversary Love

SC1001 - this week's sketch challenge on splitcoaststampers.com

WT992 - Deal Me In

For my card, I was inspired by the sketch this week to make another card. This time I used my brown scraps and a diamond die cut to cut out all these scraps. I layered them on a white card stock then on a gold mirror card stock. Once the card base was created I added several punched hearts from my stash to the front.

Next, I die cut the word Love 3 times out of white card stock then die cut in gold mirror on top.

I stamped the anniversary sentiment and finished the card with several diamond gems.

Challenges:

As You Like It - monochrome or colorful - Truth be told, I love both. If I am coloring an image, I love adding tons of color. If I am using scraps, I pull out a drawer of paper scraps that are all sorted by colors and can do it in one monochromatic color like this card.

613 Ave Create - Diamonds or Pearls - Lots of diamonds on this card.

Wedding Cake

CAS784 - National Pound Cake Day. make a card with a cake.

For my card, I wanted to use a cake image from DRS Designs for a wedding card. The image has candles, so I initially stamped the cake image on scrap paper to create a mask to mask off the candles.

Next, I stamped the cake on acetate to see where the candles would stamp on the card stock, and I added the mask to cover where they would stamp. I then stamped the cake image and removed the mask.

I added the Mr. & Mrs. stamp next to the cake and colored the image with pencils.

The flowers were finished with gems.

USEIT2024 - Wood Embellishment & Key

For my card, I pulled out my red scraps and created the background. Once the pieces were glued down, I embossed with a wood emboss folder.

Next, I added the bakers twine and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.

I then pulled out my tote of items to use up and found this wood heart embellishment. I added that and then die cut one heart and punched a second heart.

The card was finished with this key that was also in my tote and a few scattered dew drops.

8th Anniversary

FS856 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Diane aka Diane Vander Galien. I found this INSPIRATION.

My niece and nephew ask me to make them anniversary cards every year and Diane's table decorations reminded me I needed to get on the ball and get the cards made. They are celebrating their 8th anniversary this year and this is a spin on 8 with 88 keys on a keyboard.

I added 8 red flowers and 1 doubled up purple flower for the baby that they lost this year.

I used the easel tutorial to create the easel then added the keys and the purple flower to the inside of the card.

The music paper is a gold foil and really shines and I finished the card with several music stickers that are glittery and have gems.

For my family card I thought a wedding card would be perfect. My card was a bit hard to photograph as it is all white on white.

I die cut the lacy base and added dimensionals. I then heat embossed in silver the Mr & Mrs sentiment.

Next, I die cut the Mr & Mrs with a coordinating lacy die cut and popped that on dimensionals.

The card was finished with some white flowers and leaves from my desk and silver Nuvo Drops were added to the flower centers.
