Thinking of You Cat

CAS888 - Celebrate Cats

For this card, I sponged a setting‑sun background on the card base using pink, orange, and yellow inks, masking a circle at the bottom to preserve the glow.

Next, I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment and added a die‑cut black cat at the base of the scene, finishing it with a few white highlights for definition. The panel is layered on a black card base for a clean, bold frame.

Thinking of You Pup

SC1099 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I followed the sketch to create another pet donation design. The image is from Hunkydory and is layered on paw‑print designer paper. I added a second paw‑print pattern to the corners, and both the image panel and corner pieces are sponged with black ink to help them stand out.

The finished panel is layered on black cardstock, and both the sentiment and the image are popped up on dimensionals for added depth.

This card will be another of my pet donation cards.

Thinking of You

FS986 - This week's very talented Featured Stamper is Tracy, also known as Garden Crafts. I found this INSPIRATION.

The inspiration piece featured a three‑panel designer paper layout, and that became the starting point for my card. Instead of using three different papers, I chose one bold black‑and‑white pattern and trimmed it into three coordinated panels, layering each one on black cardstock for definition. To complete the layout, I selected two additional black‑and‑white patterns from my stash and layered those on black as well, creating a cohesive and striking monochromatic design.

The Thinking of You sentiment is stamped in black Memento ink on white cardstock, framed with black, and popped up on dimensionals for added lift.

A few white candy dots provide a simple finishing touch.

Thinking of You Pup

MMTPT906 - White Paws & Gentle Breezes

For today’s card, I chose an adorable dog image that was gifted to me by Denise (Card Crazy). She knows how much I enjoy using dog designs for my donation cards, and this one was perfect.

I stamped the image and brought it to life with Copics, adding depth and warmth through the coloring. Beneath the design, I stamped a simple “Thinking of You” sentiment to complete the focal point.

To frame the panel, I added a bright green mat that makes the colors pop. For extra texture and charm, I layered two different paw‑print patterned papers, each accented with the same green framing, to tie the whole design together.

Moonlit Glow

CAS872 - Glow of the Autumn Moon

For my card, I sponged a yellow moon glow using Distress Oxide ink, then blended blue around it to create a soft night sky effect. Once the background was complete, I stamped a Stampin' Up image over the panel.

The panel was trimmed down, layered onto black cardstock, and popped up on dimensionals for added depth.

To finish, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder for a touch of shine.

Poppy Thinking of You

MMTPT899 - Naturally Caring

I had a stack of square scraps on my desk and decided to challenge myself to use what was already in front of me. These three pieces caught my eye—they coordinated beautifully, so I layered them with a touch of gold matting for a bit of elegance. I arranged the layout over a soft green designer paper that echoed the tones in the scraps.

To finish the card, I added a “Thinking of You” sentiment, popped up on dimensionals for a little lift, and tucked in a few green gems for just the right amount of sparkle.

For my card, I had in my white scrap drawer this already cut white strip that I just had to use. It was perfect for adding a sentiment.

MMTPT872 - Lighthouse / Sanding

For my card, I pulled out this great image from DRS Designs. They have retired but I still love their images and use them often.

The image is colored up with copics and layered in distressed tan card stock. I sanded the top of the card stock a bit and added some additional copic coloring to each of the layers with the darkest on top.

The card is finished with a Tim Holtz sentiment.

Scrappy Hearts Thinking of You

MMTPT861 - No Pink or Red Hearts

For my card, I used a really great technique that I learned more than 5 years ago. The technique uses die cuts but for my card, I used punched hearts. I layered them 5 high gluing each layer. Next, I used my score tool to score lines on white card stock. I then laid out the hearts on the card front.

Once the glue was dry, I used a royal blue acrylic paint for the first layer. I then used watered down white and ran that over the top of the hearts. Finally, once that layer was dry, I spritzed some tea stain that has a shimmer to it. You can't see the shimmer in this photo, but it is there on the card.

Army Thinking of You

MMTPT856 - Tear or Stitch

CC1031 - Basic White, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade (I realized after I loaded my card for the Teapot Tuesday challenge that I have the colors for the color challenge this week.) Also, I have the dessert for something new as this is a new roll of baker's twine also in the colors.

For my card, I used this great Army stamp from DRS Designs. They have now closed but I still love using their images.

I stamped the image in navy blue then layered it. I added some red, white and blue bakers twine popping the image up on dimensionals.

For the torn edge, I used scissors that create the effect of torn edges on the blue polka dot paper layer. The card was finished with a few scattered stars and the sentiment popped up on dimensionals.
