Paul Klee Inspired

WT1084 - Paul Klee's Birthday - be inspired by any of his creations

I was immediately drawn to the distinctive style of Paul Klee, which inspired the design of this card. Using watercolor paper, I created the panel with watercolors to capture a playful, painterly effect.

The finished panel is layered onto a bold black card base for striking contrast, and the birthday sentiment is elevated on dimensionals to add depth and focus.

Christmas Presents

CAS877 - Presents

For this card, I chose a beautiful stamp from The Ton and brought it to life using watercolor brush markers. To frame the design, I added a striking black border around the panel and completed the look with a bold Merry Christmas sentiment.

Vintage Watercolor

CAS833 - Vintage

I used the Vintage Watercolor Technique on my card. This image is from Technique Junkies and sadly I have had this for many years and never used it.

Once stamped, I added some fine liner green, red and black to the image then used a water brush to fill in the color on the image.

Thinking of You

CAS788 - April Showers

For my card, I die cut the center panel from a scrap watercolor paper and sponged the panel with 2 different blue distress oxide inks. I then spritzed with water.

Next, I die cut the clouds and umbrella and layered and finished with heat embossing the sentiment in white on black card stock.

Sorry For Your Loss

WT940 - Rainbow

I have been working on building up my dog cards this week and Rainbows are perfect for a few pet sympathy cards.

I used watercolor crayons to create the background and then stamped the sentiment, die cut the dog and finished with a few scattered gems.

Birthday Jelly

CAS631 - Sea Creatures

I did a watercolor Ombre BG with blue darker color on the bottom. I then stamped the Jelly Fish and colored with copics and stamped the sentiment. Popped both on dimensioanls and added stickles to the Jelly Fish.

You're Fintastic

The salted BG (background) technique can be such a fun technique and using the blues and pinks I felt I was in the Finding Nemo movie when they were in the Jelly Fish field. So I grabbed this fun Jelly Fish from Heartfelt Creations and colored it up and added stickles to have it shine like that super cute scene in the movie.

Copics used: , V12 and R20

Santa's Sleigh

This was a really fun experiment to mask off the ornament and spritz water and then water color the blues. It really turned out better than I had imagined. I need to get a bigger brush for water coloring but the effect is still amazing.

Watercolor Flowers

It has been so many years since I just sat down and paint an image with no thought of the design before painting. This turned out better than I had imagined once I was done to just doodle an image with water coloring. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a water brush to get these stunning flowers.
