Puppy Sympathy

SC1108 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out my Hunkydory images and chose this adorable pup for the focal point. I trimmed the pawprint papers, added a yellow cardstock layer to give the panels a bright highlight, and built the layout around the image.

The card is finished with the sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a touch of black Nuvo Drops on the corners of the image for a clean, balanced accent.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

CAS892 - Create using Colored Pencil

For today’s card, I pulled out this great retired Impression Obsession image and stamped it on kraft cardstock. I colored the image with pencils and fussy cut the paws for added dimension.

The paws are popped up on dimensionals over a green and white checkered designer paper, giving the layout a playful lift. The card is finished with a Congratulations sentiment to complete the design.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

Mother's Day Peony

FS999 - This week's Featured Stamper is called Blast From the Past. We have a selection of artist. I was inspired by FS101 Jaydekay - INSPIRATION.

For my card, I drew inspiration from the large flowers in the challenge and reached for this Honey Bee Stamps peony die. I cut all the layers from white cardstock and blended pinks and yellows onto the petals, with greens and soft yellows on the leaves.

The designer paper was a Christmas gift from my mother‑in‑law, and it felt perfect for creating a Mother’s Day card just for her. I paired it with a grey cardstock layer and a clean white card base, then arranged the peonies across the panel. A scattering of pink gems adds a bit of sparkle, and the Mother’s Day sentiment is popped up on dimensionals to finish the design with a little lift.

Birthday Bee

IC1060 - Elephant Stock & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

My card was inspired by the beautiful bee image surrounded by flowers. I reached for this Spellbinders bee die and cut all the layers from paper scraps, keeping with the scrappy theme. The wings are cut from vellum for a soft, translucent look. After assembling the pieces, I layered the bee onto a die‑cut oval and added the birthday sentiment along the bottom.

To echo the floral inspiration, I placed the focal panel on rose patterned paper and then mounted everything onto a pink cardstock base. A scattering of yellow candy dots finishes the card with a touch of brightness.

Wolf Birthday

WT1098 - William Caxton - Animal in Aesop Fables

For today’s card, I was inspired by the wolf and reached for one of my all‑time favorite Stampin Up sets. I stamped the wolf and the paw print, die cut both images, and added sponging to bring out their details. A touch of yellow was added to highlight the wolf’s eyes.

The images are layered over a pair of kraft designer papers, then mounted on black and white cardstock to add contrast and interest to the layout.

The card is finished with a birthday sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a few scattered candy dots for a simple, balanced touch.

CAS891 - Use a rarely used stamp or one you have never used from your stash.

For today’s card, I reached for this retired Stampin Up set and chose three of the images to heat emboss in white on black cardstock. After embossing, I trimmed each panel and popped them up on dimensionals for a clean, graphic look.

To finish the design, I heat embossed the Thanks sentiment in white and layered it on white and then black cardstock before mounting everything on the card base.

Fathers Day Golf

FS998 - this week's featured stamper is ggurreri. I found this INSPIRATION.

I was instantly drawn to the golf theme in the inspiration piece and reached for this great golf die set from Spellbinders. I die cut the golf elements, adding shading and highlights to the club before assembling the pieces.

With the focal elements ready, I pulled out the paper pad I am working to finish this year and built the layout using several coordinating scraps. The golf pieces are arranged on a black banner that I white heat embossed with a Father’s Day sentiment, giving the design a crisp, bold finish.

Birthday Daisies

IC1059 - Quarter Moon Bazaar - INSPIRATION

USEIT2026 - Daisies

For this card, I was inspired by the gorgeous embroidered daisies on the pillow and remembered I had these daisies tucked in my tote of items to use up.

I die cut nine white squares and arranged them across the top of a white card base, then hot‑glued nine daisies centered on each square for a clean, quilt‑like look.

To finish the card, I added this beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampin Up in crisp black for a simple, striking focal point.

WT1097 - Birds (Swallows return to SJC)

For today’s card, I pulled out this wonderful die set from Honey Bee Stamps and cut each layer from white cardstock. I sponged on the colors and pieced the birds together, letting the shading bring out their detail.

The birds are layered on white cardstock and framed with a pink panel for a soft, coordinated look.

I then placed the finished birds on this gorgeous, patterned paper my son gave me for Christmas, layering everything on pink and white cardstock to tie the colors together.

The card is finished with a Valentine sentiment popped up on dimensionals and several heart candy dots for a sweet final touch.

USEIT2026 - Heart

For today’s card, I started with a white card base and a white die‑cut panel, popping the panel up on dimensionals for subtle depth.

I have a collection of wood hearts in my tote to use up, and I chose this one for the focal point. I flanked the heart with a few red pearls and finished the design with a sentiment banner tucked beneath the heart.

Thanks So Much

FS997 - this week's featured stamper Sara, also known as Mrs.Q. In found this INSPIRATION.

I was inspired by the postage silhouettes and reached for my Waffle Flower postage die. For the postage layer, I blended pink, orange, and yellow inks to create a soft setting‑sun glow in each window. I followed with a Tim Holtz stamp set that has an African feel, adding the silhouettes to each postage piece. To enhance the postal theme, I stamped a few of the Waffle Flower postage images over the panels.

The finished strip is layered on black to echo the silhouettes, then mounted on white and finally a yellow card base to pull out the warm colors in the scene.

A stamped Thank You sentiment, die cut with an oval and popped up on dimensionals, completes the design.

For my card, I was inspired by the beagle on the napkin and reached for a Hunkydory beagle image to echo that sweet look. I also pulled out a paper pad from the stack I am working to use up this year, trimmed the coordinating patterns, and layered them on blue cardstock to give the design a bit of extra pop before adding the beagle on top.

The card is finished with a thank you sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a few blue and white candy dots for a touch of added interest.

F4A838 - 3 of a Kind

For my card, I reached for this adorable teacup from Altenew. I stamped it on white cardstock, colored it with Copics, added the sentiment beneath the cup, and die cut the panel.

To build the background, I pulled out a paper pack I am working to use up this year and layered several coordinating patterns. Each piece is matted on black cardstock to give the layers crisp definition.

I finished the card with three pink hearts. The hearts, along with the three flowers on the designer paper, create my three‑of‑a‑kind element for the challenge.

CAS889 - Think Spring

For this card, I pulled out a beautiful die from Memory Box and cut all the pieces from white cardstock. I sponged the flower, leaves, and stem with Distress Oxide inks to bring the image to life.

Once the flower was complete, I added soft pink sponging to the card base, stamped the birthday sentiment, and finished the design with several pink sequins for a gentle touch of sparkle.

Father's Day

FS996 - This week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is jtrenn (aka Karen). I found this INSPIRATION.

For this card, the sweet little boat caught my eye and felt like the perfect starting point for a Father’s Day design. I pulled out one of the paper packs I am working through this year and trimmed two coordinating patterns, adding black framing to each layer for crisp definition. The panel is mounted on a blue card base to echo the blue in the background paper.

From the inspiration piece, I chose this retired DRS Designs boat and colored it with Copics, stamping the Happy Father’s Day sentiment beneath it. I trimmed the image with a stitched die and popped it up on dimensionals to give the focal point a bit more lift.

A few scattered sequins finish the card with a simple touch of shine.

Brighten My World

IC1057 - Lamps Plus - INSPIRATION

USEIT2026 - Lamp

When I saw the challenge, I was thrilled to finally use this gorgeous lamp that has been waiting in my tote of saved items.

For my card, I trimmed two coordinating pieces of kraft designer paper and layered them on white cardstock to give the patterns a clean, bright frame. I popped the lamp up on dimensionals for a little lift, then reached for a fun retired sentiment from Technique Tuesday. The sentiment is stamped on white, layered on a scalloped oval, and popped up as well to balance the dimension of the lamp.

These kraft designer papers are in my stack of five designer paper pads that I am working to use up in 2026.

F4A837 - Spring Flowers

MIX684 - Spring Flowers

For my card today, I started with this adorable House Mouse image, colored it with Copics, and trimmed the panel, with a die cut so the sentiment sits neatly beneath the image. I layered it on a soft purple to bring out the shading.

I added a piece of handmade paper from my stash, a textured sheet my MIL picked up for me from an art store that closed a few years ago. Its surface adds so much interest. I layered it on more purple cardstock, then set everything over a green designer paper and a coordinating purple card base.

I finished the card with a few purple pearls for a simple, polished touch.

I'm All in with You

WT1095 - Playing Cards

For this card, I was inspired by the gorgeous playing card series from Spellbinders. My son used to carry a deck with him everywhere he went, so I knew I had to have this collection.

I began by hot foiling the gold playing card for the main panel. Next, I die cut the individual cards and their decorative pieces, adding touches of gold glitter for extra interest.

To finish the design, I added gold glitter crowns to each of the playing cards and completed the layout with a sentiment banner and one of the cards popped up on dimensionals.

FS995 - This week's featured stamper on splitcoaststampers.com is justus aka Robyn. I found this INSPIRATION.

I am working my way through a stack of designer papers this year, and when I saw Robyn’s card, I immediately thought of using some of the scraps from one of my paper pads to build a background. I glued several 1.5‑inch squares onto cream cardstock and then embossed the panel for added texture. From there, I layered it on another piece of cream cardstock and mounted everything on a rust card base.

To finish the card, I stamped the thanks sentiment, layered it on a scalloped oval, popped it up on dimensionals, and added a few grey candy dots for a simple, coordinated touch.
