SC1105 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I started with a piece of dictionary paper for the background, layering it on red cardstock and then on a black card base for contrast.

I stamped the House Mouse image, colored it with Copics, trimmed the panel, and layered it on a black frame to anchor the illustration.

The card is finished with several dimensional stickers I received for Christmas, adding a playful touch to the design.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card today. Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated. If you leave a note, a visit to your blog will follow.

FS972 - This week's very talented Featured Stamper Katherine, is better known around here as katherinerock. I found this INSPIRATION.

For my card, I featured a large graduation cap die cut, crafted from black cardstock. I mounted it using dimensional adhesive to give it a pop of depth, with a grad cap-themed designer paper serving as the background.

The CONGRATS sentiment was also die cut and placed on a white strip, which I layered over gold mirror cardstock for a touch of shine.

To finish it off, I embellished the graduation cap with a gold gem for a celebratory sparkle.

Math Education

IC1020 - Aspen & Arlo - INSPIRATION

For my card, I die cut the count from Sizzix and layered it adding a graduation cap and glasses from other die cut sets.

The base layer was embossed with numbers and green ink was added then layered on gold mirror card stock and the Math Education sentiment banner popped up on dimensionals.

My inspiration brought me to bring out my Karren Burniston fireworks to die cut and add to the inside of the card.

You Are One of a Kind

IC1013 - Art.com - INSPIRATION

The inspiration was perfect for me to use this great Spellbinders set to create my son's graduation card.

The base is stamped using The Ton's Congratulations stamp. I then cut down some small white card stock and die cut the playing card pieces.

Next, I die cut the person from the Spellbinders set and then used the Sizzix ghost die cut the cut wispy hair.

The congratulations was cut 2 times in white then once in gold and layered and the sentiment is foiled.

The card front is finished with a couple of other die cut playing card shapes and the layered heart.

For the inside, I used the Karen Burniston House of Cards and created the built-up playing cards.

FS945 - This week's incredible featured stamper is the fantastic talented and kind RIRed2 aka Rebekka. I found this adorable INSPIRATION.

For my card, I took inspiration from the cute little baby wearing that fabulous hat and used a grad image from Unity. I colored it up with copics then cut the layers. I layered it on a fun designer paper that had roses to pick up the flowers on the card.

The card was finished with the congratulation's sentiment.

Pop Up Box Graduation

WT1043 - Pop-Up Box

I have wanted to make one of these cards for a very long time. For my card, I created the box layer using this tutorial: Pop-Up Box Card Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers.

The caps on the card are stenciled using black distress ink. I then die cut several balloons, the congratulations and the bird using dies from Spellbinders, Honey Bee Stamps, Memory Box, Jaded Blossom and Karen Burniston.

The stars are punched from gold and all of the pieces are added using acetate. Tied to the balloons is some red and white bakers twine. I made sure when I fold the bird in first that it closes so that the black card front is the only thing that shows. Truely this is a really fun card to make. On the back I added a white card stock for the user to add a personal message.

I am working ahead on graduation cards. My son will graduate this year from college. Time has flown by for us.

Ball State Grad

IC997 - Kate Mcenroeny and Pinterest - INSPIRATION

I just fell in love with the inspiration, and it was perfect for me to create with my new die cut from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I die cut the hoodie in red and black and tucked a red and white baker's twine into the top, adding a couple of glue dots so the loops would stay. The pocket is popped up on dimensionals.

Next, I pulled out a couple of old Spellbinders die cut sets to die cut the numbers and letters for the hoodie.

Finally, I used the Divinity Design graduation cap, cutting it out of red glitter paper that my mom gave me, and the diploma is die cut using an older Impression Obsession die cut. I then used the dot from the graduation cap and added a yellow seal to the Impression Obsession diploma.

It is great when I can pull out the selection of die cuts to create a personalized card. My son will graduate from Ball State in May, and I incorporated items to personalize this for my mom to give to my son.

Cardinal Graduation

IC960 - Daily Paintworks & Pinterest - INSPIRATION

F4A740 - Chirp! Chirp! (This is actually what the school says to graduates) :)

USEIT2024 - Tassel

I have to say I am very last minute making this card. My son's girlfriend graduates next week, and he asked for a cardinal pop-up card.

I used several Karen Burniston die cuts to create the pop-up cardinal and used a Spellbinders die cut to add the wings.

The graduation cap paper was a stencil used on red paper and I finished with the Spellbinders congratulations die cut out of gold mirror paper.

The card was finished with the closure and some red and white bakers' twine and I found the tassel in my tote of items to use up.

Here is a picture of the cardinal closed.

USEIT2024 - Stickers

For my card, I was gifted these great graduation stickers from my friend Anne (jdmommy) I am trying to use stuff up as soon as I get it from friends so it does not get lost in my craft room, so these went to the tote. I am quickly approaching graduation season and have a few that are graduating this year, so I pulled these out for a very quick card.

I added a gold mirror card stock and all these great stickers. Really quick card for me today.
