Flamingo Birthday

IC1052 - Happy Walls - INSPIRATION

I was inspired by the fun flamingo on the wall. For my card, I reached for this adorable flamingo from Heartfelt Creations, colored it with Copics, and popped it up on dimensionals for a bit of lift.

The flamingo is layered on white and then pink cardstock. I paired it with two coordinating designer papers, framing the smaller panel with green and the larger background with white. The full panel is mounted on a brown card base, and the card is finished with gold mirror candy dots for a touch of shine.

Several Celebrations

The VSN is happening again this weekend on splitcoastsampers.com. I hope you come join the fun. It is called Go for Gold. You can find all the challenges HERE.

JAN26VSNA - Compulsories: Paper, Ink & Stamps

For this card, I reached for a playful cow image from Unity Stamp and colored it with Copics. After trimming the panel, I layered it over a piece of vintage farm‑themed designer paper that adds just the right rustic charm.

To finish the design, I added a bold birthday sentiment and scattered a few small hearts around the image, each accented with white highlights for a touch of extra shine.

Heart It's Your Birthday

JAN26VSNB - Made of Snow; ski slopes, snowballs, igloos, etc

For this card, I reached for a favorite Spellbinders die set and cut all the layers from colorful scraps to build this cheerful snowman scene. The background is a textured blue cardstock that creates a soft, wintry sky behind the stacked elements.

To finish the design, I added a Christmas sentiment from Reflections, which ties the whole scene together with a warm seasonal touch.

Merry Little Christmas

JAN26VSNC - Metallics: gold, silver, bronze

For this card, I gathered a mix of designer paper scraps and built the layout from those playful pieces. To elevate the design, I added touches of gold glitter paper and popped up both the gold heart and the congratulations sentiment on dimensionals for extra depth.

A few scattered black hearts finish the card, each accented with white highlights to give them a crisp, eye‑catching shine.

Congratulations

JAN26VSND - Gold Star: use stars

For this card, I pulled together a mix of black, gold, and grey designer paper scraps to build the layout. Each panel is layered on black cardstock, giving the design clean framing and strong contrast.

The large white star features the Happy Retirement sentiment, stamped and popped up on dimensionals for added lift. A few small, punched stars complete the card with just the right touch of celebratory sparkle.

I hope you return tomorrow to see the other fun challenges for VSN and come play along.

F4A832 - Fruit

I have a few teachers in my family now, so keeping teacher‑themed cards on hand has become essential. For today’s card, I reached for a favorite Spellbinders die set that includes this charming apple. I cut all the pieces from coordinating scraps and layered them to build a cheerful little teacher scene.

The finished panel is set over a grey designer paper, then framed with yellow before being placed on a black card base for contrast. The bright colors bring great energy to the design and make the focal apple really stand out.

The Virtual Stamp Night on Splitcoaststampers.com starts tonight at 5:00 P.M. EST. We hope you come play along with us here: Virtual Stamp Night - Splitcoaststampers

You Are in My Heart

WT1090 - National Puzzle Day

For this card, I used a Pink and Main die to cut the puzzle pieces from red glitter cardstock. After assembling the puzzle, I removed one piece and replaced it with a gold glitter piece to create a focal point that feels both meaningful and eye‑catching.

The completed heart is popped up on dimensionals over a love‑themed designer paper. The panel is layered on a glitter mat and then mounted onto a black card base. The sentiment is heat‑embossed in gold glitter, and a few extra puzzle pieces are added to reinforce the theme of connection and love.

Thinking of You Pup

SC1099 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I followed the sketch to create another pet donation design. The image is from Hunkydory and is layered on paw‑print designer paper. I added a second paw‑print pattern to the corners, and both the image panel and corner pieces are sponged with black ink to help them stand out.

The finished panel is layered on black cardstock, and both the sentiment and the image are popped up on dimensionals for added depth.

This card will be another of my pet donation cards.

Birthday Pup

CAS883 - Pets

For this card, I used a wonderful retired image from Impression Obsession, stamped in Memento ink on kraft cardstock. The image is colored with pencils, which adds a soft, textured look to the design.

After the coloring was complete, I finished the card with a birthday sentiment from Stampin’ Up.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

Water Lily

FS990 - this week's amazing, featured stamper is Barbarayaya (aka Barbara) - I found this INSPIRATION.

For my card, I drew inspiration from the beautiful blue blended background and chose a blue water‑themed designer paper as my starting point. I die cut the layered water lilies from Honey Bee Stamps, adding touches of pink to a few petals for extra depth.

After assembling the blooms, I arranged them over the water paper and accented the scene with green candy dots to echo the lily pads. The card is finished with a Happy Mother’s Day sentiment popped up on dimensionals for a clean, elevated look.
