Week of 10/17/20 cards

Today's very talented Featured Stamper is Deb (djahner). I found this stunning Card

I used a stencil and gold paper glaze to add texture to my card. For the center strip look I used this fancy die cut and then I die cut the word Vintage to the card.

I added nuvo drops to dress up the word vintage so that it as shine.

I needed to come up with an idea for my son's marching band as their season ended very early this year. Today's Featured Stamper has many in her gallery where she used the center as a focal and was perfect to inspire my card to help the kids celebrate.

Vintage

CAS607 - Cursive

My son's birthday was the last day of marching band and he plays trumpet. Well of course I made a marching birthday card.

Stamped this great marcher image from DRS Designs and colored in black and gold (School colors).

Heat embossed in gold the birthday background stamp and layered over gold paper. Popped the marcher up on dimensionals.

Band Birthday

MMTPT638 - Tag

This card is for my Uncle Neil. He is a retired Fire Chief and worked for Carson and Barns Circus. He has been going through several health issues and really could use some cheering up. He also spent his birthday in the hospital which was just this past week.

I printed this cute image from Paper Shelter and colored with copics. I did the out of the box cutting and popped it on dimensionals.

For the fire BG I embossed with the flame emboss folder then used red, yellow, orange and black to color blend the BG with the darker colors at the bottom. Then I added stickles to the flames.

I finished with this tag and some bakers twine.

WT814 - Embellishments

I have a huge stack of doilies that I thought I would take out and play with and thought a set of Shabby Chic layered cards were perfect for using a few.

I stamped the sentiments and layered on a decorative label die cut.

I next cut a few layers of DPs and coordinating papers and layered. I finished with popping the sentiment on dimensionals adding ribbon and pearls.

IC776 Halloween Costumes I found this great Costume

USEIT2020 - bag

When I saw the Santa and his bag I knew I needed to use up some of these bags from my tote. I thought perfect make a Christmas card and add it to Santa.

Die cut the Cottage Cutz Santa and pieced together adding some color to his face. Cut the chimney paper and added some sponging to the top of the chimney.

Finished with tucking the bag under his hand and added a package sticker.

  1. Beautiful cards! I love the use of the doily for a background and the gold heat embossing on the band birthday card. I am sorry to hear about your uncle. I do hope he recovers quickly. Your card for him is delightful. Guaranteed to brighten up anyone's day. I hope these comments reach you. I commented last week, but either the comments disappeared, or you did not approve them? Either way, Thanks for sharing your talents. Have a wonderful week.
