Week of 2/29/20 Cards

I have created my first DRS Design card featuring two graduation stamps. Since I need to get another 18 more graduation cards done for this year I am working on them in advance so I don't fall behind.

FS681 - the super talented featured stamper is Shelly Schmidt aka mcschmidty. I found this fantastic CARD.
I need to make 18 more graduation card as we have a bunch of my son's friends graduating this year. Shelly's terrific card was perfect for inspiration. The School colors are black and yellow so I used those colors on the card.

I used the DRS graduation hats and stamped them on the yellow strips. Alternating black and yellow I die cut the panel with a pierced rectangle to pick up the piercing on Shelly's card. I added the star emboss folder to the panel. Stamped the sentiment and popped on dimensionals on the yellow layer. Finished with a handmade tassel and some sequins.

CAS574 - feature something that leaps
CCC20FEB - Tone on Tone (Layers of different reds and greens to color the image)
Stamped the image and colored with copics then ran through the EF to add the snow embossing. Stamped the sentiment and popped on dimensionals.

Tis' The Season
 MMTPT605 - kintsugi art
Used photo paper and blue and purple alcohol ink and blending solution to create the layer. Then used a versamark pen and created the gold threading on the layer.
Finished both cards putting them on dimensionals and adding the die cut flowers and sentiments.
I loved this so much I created a second card to use for a birthday card.

Kintsugi Art
WT781 - A Blast From the Past, It's National Retro Day - things like lava lamps, seventies hair-dos, VW beetles, peace signs?? Anything retro
Stamped the image and colored with pencil. Cut paper layers and layered then used a music EF on the layers. Finished with the banners and music note stickers. Popped the sentiment on dimensionals.

Rock On Birthday
 MAR20VSNMINI1 - Tissue paper technique
Did the tissue paper technique on the BG and cut thin black stripes to add to the card layout. Die cut the hat, stamped the DRS Designs sentiment and popped on dimensionals. layered and finished with gems, flowers and nuvo drops.

2020 Grad
 MAR20VSNMINI2 - Big Blooms
USEIT2020 - Heartfelt creations card kit
When I saw the VSN challenge for big blooms I grabbed a Heartfelt Creations kit that I am trying to use up and went to town. Sponged the colors on the flowers and seahorse, popped the frame on dimensionals and created the shaker card. Shaped the flowers and seahorse. Finished the card off with stickles.

Happy Birthday
MAR20VSNMINI3 - Snow Flowers (White flowers)
USEIT2020 - Teacup
Super quick card, cut the DP with the white flowers and used a teacup out of the bin of items I am trying to get used up. Popped it on dimensionals and added the white heart with stickles. and the sentiment.

Your Kindness
F4A523 - Put a bird on it
This rooster image was in my stash of items to use up. It was printed and came colored. Cutting many scrap DPs and layered distressing several layers. Added lace, button and bakers twine and popped the image on dimensionals.

Shabby Chic Country
IC743 - The Zhush where I was inspired by THIS table setting

USEIT2020 - Feathers

I have had these feathers for over a year and when I saw the inspiration I knew it was time to get them on cards. Cut the layers, punched the lacy border, stamped the sentiments and added the feathers and some sequins.

  1. Nice graduation card and I love the simplistic design. I am impressed that you made the tassel yourself. Black and gold were my high school colors so I love seeing them together again. TFS!
